Today marks the 32nd anniversary of the tragic day, 11th May 1985, on which a fire gutted the Main Stand and Valley Parade mid-way through Bradford City's final game of the Division Three season.

56 people 54 Bradford fans and two Lincoln City supporters lost their lives and over 250 were injured as the flames swept through the wooden structure after debris underneath the terracing caught light.

Scunthorpe United pulled off a 3-2 victory over Bradford City on Sunday afternoon to move up into fourth in League One, but they had to rely on the magisterial talents of Scottish defender Murray Wallace to keep it that way in the dying seconds.
