teammate van Persie pointed out. And Adebayor likely deserves a severe ban for his
unprofessional actions.

Karyn Kusama's (gorgeous) film Girlfight climaxes with a "gender blind" boxing match, in which the
film's central character gets into the ring and boxes her boyfriend. This has got to be one of the
most fascinating scenes in a sports movie.
Before I go any farther, let me just say that the New York State Boxing Commission has never
authorized gender-blind boxing for men and women in the same weight class.

I just read 8 reasons women should take up boxing on Lisa Bedsoe's blog, The Glowing Edge, and
thought I'd comment briefly on my very recent encounters with boxing.
I've just started to learn some kickboxing/boxing basics as part of my work with personal
trainer/performance artist Heather Cassils.
Remember a few months back when the rights to broadcast English Premier League games was being
negotiated. Many people figured ESPN was a shoo-in to score the rights and establish itself as the
continent's primary football network. Then the news came in February that premium cable provider
Setanta failed to hold on to its rights to broadcast a significant number of EPL matches; the EPL
being the primary subscription driver for Setanta.
The matches to watch after you realize that Carles Puyol and Raul Albiol pretending to box
neither pumps you up for El Clasico nor does it help the image of footballers as pansies.
