The weirdest things can be found on the internet. The Fenway threesome video below could
hypothetically be hot ... but it's so retro that it comes off as just gross. Perhaps that's just
me. Let us know what you think in the comment section below. Though be warned that the video is
NSFW.
In the Fenway threesome video, you see three Boston Red Sox fans engaging in some
extracurricular activity while in the stands.
The new ownership group of AS Roma has set aside 10 million euros ($14 million) to buy
Landon Donovan's rights, and also may have U.S. midfielder Michael
Bradley on the radar screen.
Thomas DiBenedetto, whose bid for Roma is pending approval of Italian financial
regulators, is a Boston-based entrepreneur who is a partner in New England Sports Ventures, which
owns the Boston Red Sox and last fall purchased a controlling interest in Liverpool FC.
By Jason Davis - WASHINGTON, DC (Feb 3, 2011) US Soccer Players -- It wasn't crazy to think that
John W. Henry and New England Sports Ventures were just what Liverpool Football Club needed when
the group, also owners of the Boston Red Sox, took over the club back in October. Henry and his
partners had a track record of success, custodianship of an American sports franchise with obvious
parallels to Liverpool FC foremost on.
Liverpool FC have signed a £25m-a-year long-term contract with Boston-based Warrior Sports, a
deal that more than doubles Liverpool's present agreement with Adidas and
surpasses the previous £23.3m-a-year British record paid by Nike to Manchester United.
According to PR Marketing, a German company, Liverpool are the fourth biggest shirt sellers in
football behind Real Madrid, Manchester United and Barcelona, with approximately 900,000 replica
jerseys sold annually.
The parallel between the start of the 2010/11 season for Liverpool Football Club was drastic,
immense and vast. Starting the season with a new manager who was completely unwanted by the
majority of supporters, who were still angry at losing fan favourite Rafael (Rafa) Benitez and
having seen club icon Kenny Dalglish been looked over by the clubs decision makers.
Liverpool has generated some interest in selling naming rights for a proposed new stadium but a
senior official insists a final decision on whether to move or redevelop Anfield has yet to be
taken.
According to Billy Hogan, managing director of Fenway Sports Management - the global commercial arm
of club owners Fenway Sports Group - the primary consideration has to be ensuring the club can
compete financially with their main rivals.
I have always been a statistics nut. The love of the numbers behind sports came early for me, as
a young boy "keeping book" for my Yankees (I am now a rehabilitated Yankees fan, firmly rooting for
my local Phillies since the Y2K). I'd laboriously watch the games, scribble down every hit, walk,
error, and out (before DVR made it easier to catch what you missed).
Andy Carroll's £35 million move has surprised a lot of people, particularly in the light of the
Liverpool owners' reputations as careful, smarter investors. NESV, as you'll know, famously
took over baseball's Boston Red Sox and won a long awaited World Series, and in so doing used what
were termed "moneyball" principles.
LeBron James is getting into the soccer business, aligning with the owners of the Boston Red Sox.
Fenway Sports Management -- the sister company of the Red Sox -- said Wednesday it has signed
James and the management company he helped create, LRMR, to a long-term deal to secure marketing
and sponsorship opportunities.
When Roy Hodgson was given the heave-ho by Boston Red Sox owner John Henry, not many questioned
the decision. There was a feeling that Hodgson may not have been given a fair crack of the whip,
but it also felt as if it was in his own best interests to get out.
The relationship between Liverpool FC and Hodgson had irretrievably broken down.
When WNT stars Abby Wambach and Shannon Boxx threw out ceremonial first pitches before the MLB
American League baseball game between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees at Fenway last
weekend, there were probably a lot of soccer fans watching baseball for the first time. Goalkeeper
Karina LeBlanc posted this pic of the players jumping before the big pitch.
The Cy Young Award race in the American League is a three-man sprint. Justin Verlander (17),
C.C. Sabathia (16) and Jered Weaver (14) have the most wins in the AL and are also the the 2011 AL
Cy Young Award favorites. Which of the pitchers is in the lead? Here's our ranking:
1. Justin Verlander, Detroit Tigers
Not only does he have the most wins in the AL, his 2.
There is a well-known saying in American sport, often offered in support of coaches far more
embattled than Kenny Dalglish at this stage of his second honeymoon.
It says that you can't make chicken salad out of chicken****. Dalglish may well consider his
situation desperate enough to employ this coarse but vivid phrase when he sits down with owner John
W Henry.
By Chris Wright
Liverpool owner John W Henry has given the clearest hint to date that current interim Kenny
Dalglish will be handed the full-time manager's role at the end of the season, after claiming that
the Scot is the most 'beloved sportsman' he has ever had the pleasure of working with.
Liverpool Football Club have signed a deal worth a reported £25million a year with Boston-based
Warrior Sports.
The deal is twice what Adidas are currently paying for the rights to produce Liverpool's kits, and
is a new record in English football – eclipsing Manchester United's current deal with Nike.
I've written about my various soccer (and other sports)-related travels both here on the blog and
in other forums as well. I've also written about the dilemma that faces me as a native of
Philadelphia who was living in DC when MLS started (without a Philadelphia team in the mix) and
have been with DC United from the start.
I have to admit for the first time in years i am giddy at the prospects of a Roma season. And
admittedly it has more to do with manager then the owner. Despite understanding it all starts at
the top. I am so intrigued to see how Roma play stylistically, how they adjust to stress tactically
and then how the players react and respond.
I had an interesting interaction via Twitter with Georgina Turner who writes about the Prem for
Sports Illustrated on the topic of the booing of ones own team. The cause of the conversation was
the ugly conclusion to Arsenal vs. New York Red Bull in the final match of the pre-season Emirates
Cup. For those who didn't watch (or read about it), Arsenal supporters channeled their inner
Liverpool chairman Tom Werner says the club will continue to spend big in order to bring success
back to Anfield.
The Reds have embarked upon one of its busiest ever periods in the transfer market since being
taken over by the Fenway Sports Group (FSG) back in October of last year, after a torrid few years
under previous owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks.
The graffiti scrawled on a Melwood wall yesterday stated "Hodgson Out" but the Liverpool manager
was in at an early hour and still at his desk late into the afternoon, even though it was a
designated day off for most of the players whose capitulation at Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday
night left his job in such jeopardy.
Once bitten twice shy.
When Tom Hicks and George Gillett bought Liverpool FC back in 2007 there were many who looked at
their track record, didn't like what came up and promptly dismissed it.
It is easy to blame David Moores for not looking enough at how they carried out their business –
and, indeed, he had the responsibility to do that part of his job better – but the truth is that
most of us had heard about how Gillett had gone into bankruptcy because he had over extended
himself with loans or of the mismanagement at the Texas Rangers but no one was willing to put the
pressure on.
Tom Werner has vowed to restore the principles on which Liverpool FC built their success.
But the Liverpool chairman insists he does not need to oversee a revolution at Anfield.
After a turbulent three-and-a-half-year period under former owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett, an
air of relative stability has been brought to matters off the pitch following October's
£300million purchase by New England Sports Ventures.
Liverpool and new owner John Henry (or John W. Henry as they seem to prefer across the pond)
finally got their man yesterday in agreeing to a transfer fee of up to £22.8 million with Dutch
giants Ajax for Luis Suarez. (Note: that's $36.2 million for you Yanks.)
The Eredivisie has long been a friendly environment and stepping stone for top young goal
scorers and the 24-year-old Uruguayan international is the latest to emerge from the popular
European pipeline.
Paul Kennedy of Soccer America recaps the January transfer window, which was highlighted by
significant action and movement yesterday.
So much for English club owners becoming parsimonious. On the final day of the January transfer
window, Chelsea spent $120 million to acquire Spaniard Fernando Torres and Brazilian defender David
Luiz.

It's long been a nearly foregone conclusion that if New York is to receive a second MLS
franchise, it would be under the banner of the once-defunct New York Cosmos. But MLS Commissioner
Don Garber said that the MLS isn't totally sold just yet on making the Cosmos a future
franchise.

Billy Beane made "Moneyball" and sabermetrics household names in baseball by using tangible
statistics to evaluate talent. The Boston Red Sox and Beane-disciple Theo Epstein were able to
translate these theories into World Championships.
Whether John W. Henry and New England Sports Ventures - owners of the Boston Red Sox - have been
able to apply those same principles as the new owners of the Liverpool Football Club remains to be
seen.
Liverpool FC owner John W Henry has questioned whether UEFA's financial fair-play rules will prove
sufficiently robust - and was surprised to see Chelsea spending heavily on transfers as the London
club revealed heavy losses.
Under UEFA's new rules, clubs will face possible bans from European competition from the 2014/15
season if they spend more than they earn in the three years before.
Liverpool owner John W Henry has claimed that the prospect of Manchester United winning a record
19th domestic league championship this season provides added motivation to break Liverpool's
21-year title "curse".
United and Liverpool currently share the distinction of winning 18 league titles - more than any
other English club - but Old Trafford has now housed the Premier League trophy eleven times since
Liverpool were last crowned league champions in 1990.
LONDON, England - The court battle over the sale of Liverpool resumed Wednesday with the former
American co-owners seeking approval to pursue a $1.6 billion damages claim for what they called a
"giant swindle." The case in London comes as Liverpool's fortunes on the field have been revived
for the first time since Tom Hicks [.
Latest rumours claim that NESV will be taking a decision on either redeveloping Anfield or going
for a new-build option in the coming weeks. There is anxiety amongst all supporters, especially
those living in Liverpool, to know what the outcome will be.
John Henry has recently stated his desire to possibly redevelop Anfield.
LONDON, England A British judge will rule Thursday whether Liverpool's former American owners can
sue in the United States over the enforced sale of the club to the Boston Red Sox ownership group.
Tom Hicks and George Gillett Jr. claim that an "epic swindle" by Liverpool directors and the club's
lenders led to a [.
Spring Training is here. That means baseball is around the corner. It also means we need to post
our MLB Power Rankings of the best teams in baseball. Yeah, it's early. That said, chances are good
that the 2011 World Series champion will be in the group below. Without further ado, here are our
MLB Power Rankings of the best ten teams in baseball:

Josh Beckett was standing in the outfield when he was accidentally hit the head with a baseball
off the bat of a team staffer. The Boston Red Sox picture didn't have to go to the hospital but he
was sent home with symptoms of a concussion. Although the Red Sox don't think Beckett's injury is
serious, they will conduct further tests tomorrow.
Liverpool FC owner John Henry has rejoined one of the world's most exclusive clubs.
After a year's absence Mr. Henry has made a comeback into Forbes annual list of world dollar
billionaires. His return to the prestigious ranking is directly attributed by Forbes to his
acquisition last year of the Anfield club.
Liverpool will announce they will be renovating Anfield rather than move to a new ground in the
next few days.
Sportingo reports the club owners Fenway Sports Group will increase capacity at the famous ground
to 60,000 with room to expand up to 10,000 more.
Currently the stadium holds 45,000 but Liverpool claim they could attract nearly double that if
they had the room.
Ora ci siamo. Pochi giorni e, salvo clamorosi colpi di scena, si dovrebbe materializzare il

Another game. Another Nelson Cruz home run. The Texas Rangers have won their first four
ballgames of the season and Cruz has a homer in each of the contests. His first three homers came
