After a 2010 that saw the top spot change only once, the number one seed seems to be a cursed
position this time around.
No. 1 North Carolina followed up a win over former top seed Louisville with a double overtime
loss against unranked Virginia Tech.

After an impressive victory over another championship contender, it's no wonder that Louisville
maintained its perch atop the Fox Soccer/SBI NCAA Top 25 rankings.
The Cardinals topped UCLA in an early-season battle of national powers to justify their
preseason No.

After a few marquee matchups in the opening weeks of the college soccer season, a new team has
emerged to claim the top spot in the Fox Soccer/SBI NCAA Top 25 rankings.
North Carolina is the new No. 1 team in the land after a victory over Louisville, the team that
previously occupied the top spot.

Maryland and Boston College's respective starts to the season may feel like a dream, seeing as
how both have begun with perfect 4-0 records. But one of those dreams is likely to end, as the two
teams square off in one of the weekend's tastier matches.

After a couple big weekend of college soccer where top schools faced off against one another,
this weekend cools off a bit at least in terms of a No 1 vs No 2 matchup. There are still plenty of
good match ups to discuss for the weekend ahead.

You can tell it is early in the season because change keeps taking place. College soccer this
week will have a new number one after UNC fell over the weekend at Virginia Tech. Last year we only
had two teams grace the top of the rankings, this year it seems to be a curse to have the big
target on your back.

There's a new team at the top of the college soccer mountain yet again.
High-scoring Maryland is the new No. 1 team in the Fox Soccer/SBI NCAA Top 25 rankings after
improving to 6-0 while former No. 1 North Carolina slipped up last weekend against Virginia
Tech.

Conference battles begin to heat up but a looming West Coast match may prove to be the biggest
game in college soccer this weekend.
Below are some of the bigger games this weekend that I'll be keeping an eye on.
The University of Maryland's perfect start is a thing of the past.
Using a defense-first mentality, Seton Hall held the nation's No. 1 team (Fox Soccer/SBI) to a
0-0 draw in New Jersey Tuesday night.
Maryland outshot Seton Hall 23-6 and had a 13-0 edge in corner kicks, but the Terrapins (7-0-1)
couldn't break through and were held to less than two goals for the first time all season.

Another week, another new No. 1 team atop the Fox Soccer/SBI NCAA Top 25.
The University of Connecticut is the latest to claim the top spot after beating Boston College
Tuesday night to improve to 7-0 on the season. That result, combined with previous No.
The race for the Big Ten championship is just starting out, but early indications are that
Indiana has every intention of regaining its place as the conference's premier program.
The No. 7 Hoosiers sent a big messsage on Friday by knocking off Penn State in their Big Ten
opener, posting a 1-0 victory to stay unbeaten on the season.
The University of Connecticut men's soccer team was close to its first blemish on the season, but
Nickardo Blake made sure the team's perfect record stayed intact.
Blake ripped home a rebound off a corner kick for his first goal of the season with 61 seconds
remaining in the second period of overtime to pace the No.
