So far, the Lakers' 2010 post-season campaign has seen DBeck's love for beverages and plaid. In
fact, he's now so well-adjusted in America that he has quite a collection of colourful and
patterned button-downs to show for his "dual" citizenship. We might even go out on a limb and say
David passes for the average basketball fan.
New York was all soccer yesterday, and it wasn't just about the US Men's National Team. Basking
in the afterglow of the countries first place finish in the World Cup Group stage, and fighting
back the blazing 90 degree heat, soccer fan's from all walks of life gathered at the Sara D.
If you're a US sports fan then you're probably familiar with Bill Simmons. The Sports Guy. He
covers US sports from a non-journalistic fan perspective for ESPN, and fellow sports fans (mostly)
love him for it. The man's Twitter followership is at near Ashton Kutcher levels. Though Simmons
isn't exactly a soccer fan, he does seem [.
Ladies and Gentlemen your odds-on favorite to win the Spanish Primera Division and the
Champion's League next year Barcelona!
I just wrote about their desire to sign David Villa and now he has been signed. I know that
Barca was moving fast but I didn't know they moved that fast!
Villa signed a 4-year contract for 34.
Coach Bob Bradley called up legendary military man Commander Dan Jollota, and the veteran Top Gun
gave the footballers a lecture in bravery and team work, passing on the US soldier's motto of "no
man gets left behind."
Eleven times NBA champion coach Bill Russell of the Boston Celtics has also spoken to the USA team.
Brandi GarnettTrash talking is really an art form. Some guys are really good at it, and will harass
an opponent to the point where the player is so distracted that he's ineffective on the field.
Mission accomplished for the trash talker.
Right now, Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics is in hot water because he's being accused by
Charlie Villanueva of the Detroit Pistons of calling him a cancer patient.

The Host: Happy birthday Jonathan Spector! Today we have all gathered at our
local Domino's to (1) "get the door" (that makes no sense) and (2) honor the spectacular soccer
feats you have performed over the last 24 years.

It is understood that Rangers and Celtic are eyeing up a 'money-spinning' Old Firm friendly in
Boston during the summer which will take the world's most fiercest rivalry out of Glasgow for the
first time in history. Reports are suggesting that the Old Firm will make a total of £1,000,000
from this friendly and the investment won't come at a better time when Scottish Football struggles
with its European counterparts.
Kristine Lillyis a slam dunk for the U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame whenever she retires (and after 23 or
so years as part of the U.S. Women's National Team, who knows when that will be?), but she is
getting another great honor while she's still kicking.
The U.S. WNT legend and Boston Breakers co-captain has been chosen by Boston's The Sports Museum
for a special honor at

TORONTO FC (10th) VS. NEW ENGLAND (14th)
BMO Field - Saturday 1:00PM EST

In TFC's second game of 2010, the New England Revolution gave them a 4-1 Boston strangling which
had supporters seeing red.
When you think of Glen "Big Baby" Davis, you get the mental picture of a goofy, high-energy
reserve for the Boston Celtics. In Game 4 of the 2010 NBA Finals, Big Baby was the Big Star.
When Big Baby wasn't mugging for the crowd, he was letting drool escape from his chubby cheeks.
After the final horn sounded, the Celtics had a 96-89 victory and Big Baby had 18 points, five
rebounds and two steals in 22 minutes of play.
With the 2010 NBA Finals tied 1-1, Game 3 was viewed as a pivotal contest for both teams. When
push came to shove, one man stood out above the rest Derek Fisher. The wily veteran point guard for
the Los Angeles Lakers scored 11 key points in the fourth quarter to lead L.A. to a 91-84 victory
over the Boston Celtics.
Ray Allen had a record-setting night and Rajon Rondo posted a triple-double as the Boston
Celtics came away with a 103-94 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. The Game 2 win
evened the NBA Finals at one game a piece and handed Los Angeles its first home loss of the
playoffs.

If you want to know the winner of the 2010 NBA championship, be sure to watch Game 5 on Sunday.
The winner of this game has a huge advantage. With the series tied 2-2, we are sure to see a
classic battle between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics.

One good slice of news for the Lakers is that Andrew Bynum will be able to play.
The match was the most viewed World Cup first round match and fifth most viewed soccer match in
the USA ever. It was also the most watched match involving the USMNT since the 1994 World Cup when
the national team met Brazil.
A total of 10.8 million watched the three hour telecast of the match (one hour preview) with
match time figures considerably higher.
The Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 92-86 on Sunday to take a 3-2 lead in the NBA
Finals. Though Kobe Bryant scored 38 for Lakers, it wasn't enough. Paul Pierce tallied 27 points in
his best game of the series, while Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo each had 18 for the Celtics.
Boston is now on the brink of another NBA title.
The ultimate game in basketball will take place on Thursday night when the Los Angeles Lakers
face the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals. In what promises to be a classic contest,
there are a number of subplots at work.

The hottest storyline is bad news for the Celtics: starting center Kendrick Perkins will miss
the game due to a serious knee injury.
In Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, Kobe Bryant surely had to play well for the Los Angeles Lakers
to beat the Boston Celtics, right? Guess again. Kobe Bryant spent the entire game succumbing to the
pressure and playing one of his worst games of the season. As it turned out, Kobe's choke wasn't
enough for the Boston Celtics to pull out a victory.
With Ron Artest, you never know what he is going to say or do next. In his post-game interview
after the Los Angeles Lakers won the championship, Ron Artest was simply classic. You can watch the
ten minute video below to see exactly what I'm talking about.
Ron Artest smiles because Kobe passed him the ball
Throughout the interview, Artest finds it difficult to keep his emotions in check.
The 2010 NBA Draft is almost here. Who is your favorite team going to pick? You'll find out
officially on June 24th at 7 p.m. ET, however here is an early look. Tell us what you think of
EveryJoe's 2010 NBA Mock Draft where we cover the first round of the draft.
1. John Wall, Washington Wizards

In case you can't get enough of her Girls Aloud eyelashes, or L'Oreal hair styilng products (for
her extensions, which are coming back to the telly), now you can wear Cheryl's face as well!
'Tis a tad "can you hear the lambs screaming, Clarice", no?
While the gossip is about fellow X Factor judge, Simon Cowell, asking contestants to
call Cheryl Cole her maiden name Tweedy we're more intent with understanding the need for
white-eyed paper faces.
The 2010 NBA free agent class is headlined by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. You can
now add two more superstars to the list: Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics and Dirk Nowitzki of the
Dallas Mavericks. Both players opted out of the last years of their contract to become free agents.
While not a shock, the news wasn't a slam dunk, either.
Quietly, Shaquille O'Neal is a free agent. With LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh hogging
the headlines, you'd never know it. But don't think 38-year-old Shaq is thinking about retirement.
In fact, Shaq says he wants to play for another two or three years.
Where will Shaquille O'Neal sign?
The Golden State Warriors have some of the best fans in the NBA even though the team has made
the playoffs only once in the last 16 years. But now Warriors fans can look ahead to better days
because Chris Cohan has finally sold the team. Cohan's inept ownership has been credited for much
of the poor play over the years.
The opening act for Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh will take place in Boston. On
October 26th, the Miami Heat play the Boston Celtics in TD Garden and the potential next NBA
dynasty will born. That game will undoubtedly be watched by every basketball fan around the globe.
How long will it take for the Heat to learn how to play together?
The Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics made a big addition on Wednesday as they signed
7-foot-1 Shaquille O'Neal to help bolster their front line. Shaq reportedly signed a two-year deal
for approximately $3 million.

In 53 contests, Shaq averaged 12.0 points, 6.
The 2010-11 NBA schedule was released on Tuesday. Although the season is a couple months away,
the release of the schedules has basketball junkies anticipating a number of interesting matchups.
LeBron James in South Beach? The Lakers going for the three-peat? Yeah, it's going to be an
exciting year.
NBA training camps are underway for the 2010-11 season. Even though the Miami Heat have been
deemed favorites by many NBA pundits, they aren't number one on our power rankings. Here's a look
at the ten best NBA teams as training camps tip off.
1. Los Angeles Lakers
The defending champs still have the skill and length to beat any team, even the Heat.
When the Miami Heat signed LeBron James and Chris Bosh this summer, many league pundits handed
the Heat the 2011 NBA championship trophy. However, a funny thing happened on the way to the
podium. On NBA opening night, the Boston Celtics the reigning Eastern Conference champions proved
that the Heat are still a work in progress.
The Orlando Magic were undefeated in the preseason. On Thursday, the Magic showed that their
preseason play wasn't a fluke. In John Wall's debut in the NBA with the Washington Wizards, the
Magic easily prevailed with a 112-83 victory.
Dwight Howard led the way for the Magic, scoring 20 points, grabbing ten rebounds and blocking
three shots.
When Rajon Rondo was left off Team USA this summer, many NBA pundits thought that he'd enter the
2010-11 NBA season with something to prove. So far, those pundits were right. On Friday, Rondo had
an amazing triple-double finishing with 10 points, 24 assists and 10 rebounds. Those 24 assists
were a career-high.
When LeBron James decided to sign with the Miami Heat, he famously said he was bringing his
talents to South Beach. On Thursday, after the Boston Celtics defeated the Heat for the second time
this season, Paul Pierce mocked LeBron James on Twitter by saying "It's been a pleasure to bring my
talents to south beach now on to Memphis".
We are a couple weeks into the 2010-11 NBA season and we've started to see the cream rise to the
top. In these NBA power rankings, we'll take a look at the best of the best. Who are the top teams
in basketball? Here's our list of the top ten NBA teams:
1. Los Angeles Lakers (10-2)
The Lakers are the defending champs and continue to look very strong.
The good news is that the 2010 World Cup final between Spain and the Netherlands drew almost 10
million more viewers than the final game of the 2010 World Series. On the other hand, the combined
audience for MLS Cup 2010 on ESPN and Galavision was less than one-eighth the audience for the
final game of the Stanley Cup hockey finals on NBC.
Don't look now but the New York Knicks are once again a legitimate NBA team. By defeating the
Toronto Raptors 116-99 on Sunday, the Knicks are now 12-9 after winning their fourth straight game.
New York is in second place in the Atlantic Division 4.5 games behind the Boston Celtics and 3.5
games up on the third place Raptors.
The Philadelphia 76ers were about to take home an impressive victory but Kevin Garnett had other
plans. On a pass from Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett completed an alley-oop with 1.4 seconds remaining
to give the Boston Celtics a 102-101 win over the Sixers. The Celtics improved to 18-4, while the
Sixers dropped to 7-15.
Rajon Rondo is having a fantastic season for the Boston Celtics. Unfortunately for Rondo and the
Celtics, the point guard is finding it difficult to stay healthy. Rondo's latest injury is a
sprained left ankle that will keep him out a while. GM Danny Ainge says Rondo will be out a couple
of weeks, while head coach Doc Rivers said one or two weeks.
The Boston Celtics can't be stopped. Even without the injured Rajon Rondo, the Celtics were able
to beat the Atlanta Hawks by a final score of 102-90 to extend their winning streak to 12 games.
Most experts thought it would be the Miami Heat leading the way in the Eastern Conference but
instead it is the old yet still hungry Celtics.
