The proposal is a simple one. Roberto Mancini can swap one big striker for another. However,
some logistics complicate matters quite a bit. Still, it is certainly worthwhile for Manchester
City to explore whether or not they can swap promising Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko for Swedish
superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
With Tevez, Aguero and Balotelli staying, is there room at Manchester City for Edin Dzeko? -

Manchester City have played some scintillating football over recent weeks to retake the top spot
in the Premier League, with only 180 minutes between them and their first top-flight title since
1968.
Well, he's definitely slower than us. OTP completed this water jet slalom dribble in a faster time
than Edin Dzeko. The bizarre challenge was part of the Adidas Predator Lethal Zones launch today.
It turns out slow and steady didn't win the race for the big Bosnian. But given that his aim was
probably to [.
With two straight scoreless draws in their last two Bosnian Premier Liga games, Danijal Brkovic and
Velez Mostar will be looking for three important points when they host struggling Leotar.
Out of favour striker Edin Dzeko could leave Manchester City this summer if emerging reports are
to be believed. The 25 year old who joined City from German club Wolfsburg last January has fallen
down Mancini's pecking order with the Italian preferring Mario Balotelli and Sergio Aguero as his
first choice strikers.
In their first game back from the long winter break in the Bosnian Premier League, Velez Mostar
earned a point in a road draw with Celik at Stadion Bilino Polje.

Manchester City will go into the second leg of their Europa League last 16 fixture needing to
overhaul a one-goal deficit at the Etihad after an exquisitely cheeky backheel from Brazilian
centre-half Xandao saw Sporting run out as a narrow winners in Lisbon.
The Bosnian Premier League returns from their long winter break this weekend as Danijal Brkovic and
Velez Mostar face a big game against Celik.
Failing to find a club in the January transfer window, Carlos Tevez eventually opted to stay at
Manchester City and after reconciliation with manager, Roberto Mancini, the Argentinian could soon
make a return with the first team squad.
This situation will obviously increase the competition in Man City's front line that have
already been buzzing since the current three forwards, Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli and Edin
Dzeko all have proved their rights on acquiring first team place with their excellent goal scoring
record.
Carlos Tevez is on his way back to Manchester where he is expected to make up with Roberto
Mancini and be included back in the City squad. I think it is a sign of how worried that City are
that they will not win the league that they are willing to forgive and forget Tevez's actions.
And as a reminder of the kind of person he is, Tevez gave a farewell interview in Argentina with
Fox Sports in which he made some incredible statements about the club, fans and manager.

Giovani Dos Santos is no stranger to moving during the winter transfer window, but instead of
what has happened in past years, he is on the verge of leaving club purgatory for good.
Forever glued to the bench at Tottenham, the 22-year-old Mexican star is on the verge of a full
transfer to Spanish club Villarreal, according to reports from Europe.

Wigan Athletic 0-1 Manchester City Premier League 16th January 2012
An Edin Dzeko header midway through the first-half was enough to give Manchester City a win at
the DW Stadium on Monday night, a victory that puts them three points clear of rivals Man United at
the top of the table.
In the final game before the Bosnian Premier League's winter break, Velez Mostar were held to a
disappointing 0-0 draw against GOSK.
Danijal Brkovic and Velez Mostar will be looking to pick up a valuable three points in the Bosnian
Premier League when they visit GOSK Gabela in their final game before the long winter break.
American forward Danijal Brkovic went the distance and scored his first ever Bosnian Premier Liga
goal for Velez as they cruised to a 3-0 win against Sloboda Tuzia at Stadion Vrapand#269;iand#263;i

After earning just one point in their last five games in the Bosnian Premier Liga, Velez Mostar
will look to return to their winning ways when they host relegation fodder Sloboda Tuzla on
Saturday.
Not much changes happens in the top of Premier League on Saturday as Manchester City holds their
current five points lead over second place Man United, while Chelsea and Newcastle still battles on
for the third place.
However, things isn't actually easy on Saturday especially for the league leader, who can
consider themselves a bit lucky in managing to nick a win against Queens Park Rangers (QPR) which
City's striker, Edin Dzeko, believed as their toughest test so far.
After a strong start to the season, Velez Mostar have lost their last three games and have fallen
into seventh place in the Bosnian Premier Liga.
Stoke City have enjoyed a promising start to the season and it is clear that despite the
increasing number of matches they have been playing due to Europa League involvement, Tony Pulis'
men can cope with the challenging demands.
One of the reasons why the Potters have been so impressive is a strong defense, anchored in the
Premier League by Bosnian goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, who has been able to focus exclusively on the
domestic front due to the presence of veteran Thomas Sorensen in the squad.

Another example of how that heady mix of religion and football can go horribly wrong, a Bosnian
Premier League game in Mostar between locals rivals Velez and Zrinjksi ended in rather frightening
scenes last week.
Rijad Demic, playing for Velzez, a team from the Muslim side of Mostar, netted the winning goal
in extra-time, a strike that the Croat fans of Zrinski didn't take too kindly too.
Things got ugly in Wednesday's Bosnian Cup match between FK Velež Mostar and H K Zrinjski
Mostar in the ethnically divided town's derby match when Zrinjski fans invaded the pitch to chase
visiting Velez players. The incident occurred in second half stoppage time right after Rijad Demic
scored for Velez.
Manchester City's eventful week went from bad to worse when the club confirmed that Carlos Tevez
has been suspended until his alleged refusal to come on as a substitute against Bayern Munich is
fully reviewed.
The joint Barclays Premier League leaders suffered a humbling 2-0 defeat at the Allianz Arena as
German international striker Mario Gomez once again proved his mettle.

Man City were given a bit of a humbling by Bayern Munich in the Champions League last night,
eventually going down 2-0 in the Allianz Arena courtesy of a brace from Mario Gomez.
However, the major talking point emanated from the City bench where, according to a pretty
peeved Roberto Mancini, Carlos Tevez flatly refused to enter the fray as a second-half substitute a
claim that Tevez himself has denied this morning, citing that he was 'ready to play' and that it
was all just a big 'misunderstanding'.
From one recalcitrant to another, we have Mancini's first test: curing a suicidal
Manchester City malaise (by Darshan Joshi)
At least Roberto Mancini's selection headaches are thinning. The petulance of Edin
Džeko will see the Bosnian left out of City's weekend clash with Blackburn, while Carlos Tévez's
latest insipid tirade has seen Mancini finally pull the plug on last season's top goalscorer.
Reports in Germany have resurfaced linking Liverpool with a move for Werder Bremen midfielder Marko
Marin, according to the reports Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has marked the 22 year old German
International as his number one winter target.
Marin has previously been linked with a whole host of European clubs, at one stage it was thought
that he would be heading to Old Trafford, then Arsenal became the favoured destination for the
player labelled as the German Messi, now it is Liverpool's turn to be linked with the Bosnian born
midfield maestro.

Not having the best six months start in his premiership experience didn't make Edin Dzeko gave
up hope on trying for Manchester City as in the start of this new season, the Bosnian international
proved all the doubters wrong as he already scored 7 goals in 4 matches.
The 25-years-old now has the chance to rack up more goals and even becoming a top scored, but
apparently although the opportunity is looking bright, getting the golden boot isn't Dzeko's main
goal this season.
Manchester City, despite their riches, struggled last season for goals and lacked enough
creativity. Mancini employed a cautious defensive approach utilising the leadership of Vincent
Kompany last season. The splurge on Edin Dzeko in January was aimed at giving Man City a huge goal
threat.
Chelsea became the third member of the traditional "Big Four" to drop points on opening weekend
as they could only muster a 0-0 draw against Stoke this afternoon. Andre Villas-Boas will be
disappointed with his side's lack of a cutting edge, but Stoke boss Tony Pulis will be pleased with
his side's resilience.
Nikoa Saric is joining Hajduk Split on a free transfer after being released by Liverpool FC.
The Bosnian-born 20-year-old failed to break into the first team during three years at Anfield.
The striker was highly rated when the Reds beat off competition from Barcelona to sign him in 2008
but he failed to realize his potential.
In an unusual display of awareness of world current affairs, Romania supporters wound up Bosnia
fans with a banner in support of alleged Serbian war criminal Ratko Mladić during last night's
Euro 2012 qualifier. A 'Free Mladic' banner was unfurled in the Romania support prompting angry
scenes among the Bosnian following, who ripped up chairs [.
Having successfully opening his account in the Premier League with Manchester City in the club's
latest match against Blackburn Rovers, last Monday, Edin Dzeko believes that it would be the start
of many for him in the future.
Dzeko admitted that it's been difficult start for him, especially considering he just arrived at
the club this winter, but the Bosnian international stated that his condition is understandable
considering there are others that facing the same problem, naming Chelsea's Fernando Torres as one
of them.
This Edin Dzeko goal vs Blackburn was the Bosnian striker's first Premier League goal for Man City.
Dzeko's first league goal for Man City came in the 75th minute of Man City's 1-0 win over Blackburn
Rovers in April 25, 2011. This Dzeko goal against Blackburn came just three minutes after the
former had been [.

Revenge. Bettering City's 0-3 dominance in the reverse fixture, beating City as thoroughly as City

Renato Augusto celebrating his goal for Bayer Leverkusen
A couple of months ago I wrote about Borussia Dortmund, and the way that they had been dominating
the Bundesliga. While Dortmund still have a strong lead of nine points over Bayer Leverkusen,
things aren't looking as solid as they were back when Jurgen Klopp's team had gone 15 games without
losing.

Being a new league especially in a tougher competition surely will give some problem for any
player, including Manchester City's January arrival, Edin Dzeko, who arrives from Wolfsburg this
January rated as one of the most exciting talent in Europe football. So far, Dzeko's performances
haven't really justified his 32 million Euro price tag as the Bosnian international has only
managed two goals from eight appearances for the Eastlands.
PARIS, France — Lyon gave themselves the perfect morale boost for next Tuesday's Champions League

move into provisional second in the league [.
