FIFA threatens to expel Bosnia and Poland from World Cup
The international football governing body has threatened Bosnia and Herzegovina and Poland with the
expulsion from the current World Cup qualifiers because of their fans' ill conduct.

Last week UEFA released the seeds for the final eight matches of the UEFA qualifying season for the
2010 World Cup. The seeding system based on the division of the eight second-placed teams into a
top-four and bottom-four pot, guaranteeing that the four "best" teams would face the four "worst"
has been controversial, with the bottom four teams protesting vigorously and the top four keeping
mum.
The final six World Cup 2010 places all get decided today, with the second legs of the four
European playoffs and the CONMEBOL vs CONCACAF game, plus the special Algeria vs Egypt single game
playoff for the final African qualifying spot.
It's all very very tight. The winners of these six ties get the the glory, the losers learn
firsthand the meaning of the word "nearly".
The name Bosnia and Herzegovina may not have an extremely familiar ring to it, but perhaps you
know the squad by their previous title, Yugoslavia. In 1993 following the split of socialist
Yugoslavia, a new team was born. Unfortunately, Bosnia and Herzegovina has yet to make a name for
themselves on the biggest and brightest stage (the World Cup), but the squad has proven to be a
contender for the tournament several times throughout their brief history.
