Barcelona came back from a one-goal deficit to dispose of Estudiantes, 2-1,on Saturday.
Seguramente cuando Laporta conformó este equipo no pensó que sus alcances
exitosos llegarían tan lejos, o al menos no dentro del presupuesto.
Un Barcelona que llegaba como el candidato número uno a campeonar en este torneo pero que
enfrente tenía a un rival que era pintado como débil, pero que al final saco grandeza de no sé
dónde y se le plantó al Barca de muy buena manera, conteniéndolo durante más de 80
minutos.
Barcelona now rule the world thanks to a nail-biting win over Veron's Estudiantes, the tense final
of the FIFA World Club Cup started off with a goal for the Argentinean side by Boselli in the 37th
minute. But Guardiola made a key substitution in the 46th minute, subbing Pedro in for Seydou
Keita, and in the 89th minute Pedrito scores letting Barcelona go to extra time.
It was a lot harder than many people expected, but Barcelona finally defeated Club Estudiantes
de La Plata 2-1 to win the FIFA Club World Cup final in Abu Dhabi.
With a minute to go in regulation time Barcelona were trailing 1-0, and it took super sub Pedro
Rodríguez to rescue Barca and send the game into overtime where the World's best plater Lionel
Messi scored the winner.
