On the move???
After a World Cup campaign filled with headline grabbing drama, some U.S. internationals are being linked to interesting transfers. Here are a few that have (Gerard) Piqued my interest.
Clint Dempsey to a big European club (maybe Milan??). A move away from Fulham could take a cheap but productive FPL player off the table.

So the USA have announced their final 23 a couple of days earlier, so we can see the pool of players that will line up against England in our opening World Cup encounter on 12th June. 17 are based in Europe, nine in the UK (Not incluiding DaMarcus Beasley, who is unattached but most recently played for Rangers, or Landon Donovan, who had a brief but successful spell at Everton earlier in the season).

Michael Bradley; he's a household name to the frequent visitors of this distinguished soccer blog. It is kind of weird to actually type out the full name that Bobbo saw fit to give him though. Junior, MB90, Coach's Kid, whatever you want to call him, Bradley's a top performer for a Yank in Europe, and at 23 years old, he's just entering his prime.

Another big weekend of world football and this weekend, there's only one match that is on everybody's mind. People the world over are wandering who will win the big one between Chivas USA and the New York Red Bulls. The Red Bulls have been strong early this season following one of the worst seasons in MLS history.

We're finally here. The final full weekend of football for the season is at hand. We're going away from the usual calculus in determine the top matches of the weekend and looking, rather, at what is the most meaningful. That leads us looking towards England on Sunday.

All of the Premiership matches will take place at the same time this Sunday as the season concludes and none will be more important than those involving Chelsea and Manchester United.

With four rounds remaining and 12 points up for grabs, the Bundesliga heads into its final portion of the season with a heated race for the championship. Bayern Munich picked up a point on the road against Bayer Leverkusen and took advantage of Schalke's humilliating defeat against Hannover 96.

Every now and again, you get a super weekend of world club football. It's debatable whether this is one of them, but it's going to be a durn fine one at the very least. Okay, nevermind my doubts, it should be a super weekend of world club football.

The Top Five Matches of the Weekend include no less than four matches between clubs that are ranked in the current WCR Top 25 Clubs in the World.

United States midfielder Michael Bradley appears to be on the verge of joining Premier League new boys Blackpool FC. The Tangerines, who will open their campaign away to Wigan, will be looking forward to completing the transfer for a low fee. In case the Bundesliga outfit provide a higher-than-expected valuation for the unsettled player, Daily Mail reports that Blackpool will seek to bring Bradley to Bloomfield Road on loan.

After a fun week of Champions League, Europa League and Copa Libertadores matches, the weekend is here and its time to chase down those domestic titles again. This week features two matchups between WCR TOP 25 Clubs, though neither of those matches involve first-place clubs in their domestic leagues.

I was born into the English leagues. I grew up in Britain so the only leagues I could see on television and see in person when I was a child in the late 70s and early 80s were the British leagues. And one of the factors that attracted me most to those leagues, not that I had much of a choice, was the noise and passion shown by the supporters.

Americans will be crossing paths in Germany once again when Ricardo Clark and Eintracht Frankfurt head to Hannover and Steve Cherundolo, while Michael Bradley and Borussia Monchengladbach host Wolfsburg.

The way they've been hoarding the glory lately, it wouldn't be so far-fetched to believe that Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid have been winning titles since the Jurassic era. The big matches this weekend are once again coming out of England and Italy and have championship overtones as well as importance for the final Champions League spot for both nations. After the French Football Federation granted their wish of postponing their weekend fixture to give them adequate time to prepare for Tuesday's Champions League semi final return leg fixture against Bayern Munich, Olympique Lyon will definitely want to make their 'unfair' advantage over their opponents count.

The race for the Bundesliga title shows no signs of slowing down and will go down to the wire. Bayern Munich and Schalke 04 are now tied with 64 points at the top of the Bundesliga standings after the Bavarian giants were held to a 1-1 draw in their visit to Borussia Monchengladbach. Schalke took advantage and knocked off Hertha Berlin 1-0 on the road.
