Who is Terrence Boyd? Oh you know just another member of the nü wäve of young
Afro-Germericans
™ that is doing his thing in Deutschland. Things like scoring 6 goals in 6
games for the Borussia Dortmund reserve team. It may only be the reserves but since the only other
striker on the planet with an American passport and club form like that right now is Jozy Altidore
I'm going to big him up.
Oh God! What does one say after a game like that. Great fighting spirit and a gritty display for
a well-earned away point at a difficult venue? Terrible performance that shows the Gunners just
aren't good enough anymore? I guess it depends on one's mentality and the spin that suits it. As
mentioned in the preview, I wasn't expecting a win but a more assured performance would have been
encouraging for the future.
We love when 'ballers and WAGs appear amongst the pages of our must read mags, and in the case
of Mats Hummels and Cathy Fischer, we're absolutely delighted to see them banded together and

The Borussia Dortmund man has been widely praised for his skills on the pitch and, judging by
this photo shoot and his smoldering gazes, he'll be receiving a different kind of praise soon
enough.
I know that the majority of our problems are defensive ones, and we actually looked OK going
forward yesterday, but I have to ask where is Chu Young Park? He was on the bench for the games
against Swansea City and Borussia Dortmund, but he did not get on as Marouane Chamakh came on as

Arsenal face Borussia Dortmund in the first group match of the Champions League
tomorrow night. Here, German football writer Bernd Schmidt evaluates the opposition awaiting the
Gunners...
Borussia Dortmund were the talk in Germany last season as they raced away with their seventh
Bundesliga title and first since 2002.
Limbering up for the next challenge
Normally that would mean that the team is flying. Not necessarily in a physical form but in
terms of form, confidence and results. A good continuous run of positive results would probably
equate to a team in flying condition. In this instance, I'm referring "full flight" to the numbers
and quantity.
The Game Considered by many as the toughest opposition in Pot D, Borussia Dortmund tomorrow host
Arsenal in what will hopefully be an entertaining game of football. It is not easy to predict what
will happen tomorrow ...
Arsenal visit Dortmund, the self-professed football capital of the world, to open a Champions
League group phase that promises to be the toughest one in recent years. BVB are by far the best
team from the fourth pot and could quite possible provide a sterner challenge than the other two
teams in the group.
Arsenal travel to Borussia Dortmund to kick off the Champions League group stage tonight. Facing
the German champions after a challenging start to the season and a crucial if somewhat
underwhelming 1-0 win at the Emirates against Swansea City on Saturday is a tough task, but that's
the scenario. No use wishing what might have been.
Song gives the thumbs up for this return
Champions League returns. Not the rubbish play-off but the actual proper group stage. One that
we are participating in the 14th consecutive season. That is one hell of a record of consistently
being one of the top teams in Europe. I won't argue if you say that the re-branded top European
competition now extends to non champions of individual leagues as well.
The captain meeting his future team mate?
First Champions League match out of the way then. Draw was the final result and it was a fair
reflection on the game. Both sides went about with their usual tactics but the home side had the
upper hand of things in most parts. Like I said yesterday, I would take a draw if it was given to
me.
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has risked his reputation, particularly in Germany, by
claiming that he is unaware of Borussia Dortumund starlet Mario Gotze's rapid emergence due to a
lack of interest in the Bundesliga.
Ronaldo, who is no stranger to controversy following a high-profile stint with Manchester
United, claims that he does not even know Gotze's preferred position and went as far as asking
reporters if the recently capped Germany international is even good enough to be in the spot
light.
Save that could have bigger implications later
It's Friday and that means only one more day to Premier League football. We are visiting Ewood
Park tomorrow to play Blackburn Rovers. Although this comes directly after the Champions League tie
away to Dortmund and this being an early fixture, I believe there's ample time for the players to
recover from their midweek exertions.

Juan Mata has made a nice impression since joining Chelsea this past summer, but if he is to
influence the Blues' next match, he'll do so at the expense of his former employer.
Mata and Chelsea take on his former club, Valencia, at Estadio Mestalla in one of Wednesday's
high-profile UEFA Champions League group matches.

Borussia Dortmund v Arsenal
This looks like a tough start for the Gunners, especially on the back of their heavy defeat
at the hands of Manchester United in the Premier League. Current Bundesliga Champions
Borussia Dortmund are quietly fancied to do well in this season's Champions League
following some excellent performances in their domestic league last season.
Saturday EPL on ESPN2: Sunderland - Chelsea at 10am. On Fox Soccer: Arsenal - Swansea City at 10am,
Bolton - Manchester United at 12:30pm, and Manchester City - Wigan at 5pm. Fox Soccer Plus has
Stoke - Liverpool at 10am, Wolverhampton - Spurs at 2:30pm, and Everton - Aston Villa at 4:30pm.
Championship on Fox Soccer Plus: Coventry City - Derby County at 12pm.
Fortunately, now that the strikes are over, we finally have a full slate of action in world
football, featuring the return of the Italian Serie A to the television stage. At this point, for
the first time in a long time, all of the major domestic leagues in the world are in action at the
same time.
Emma, the star of Borussia Dortmund
Germany, Borussia Dortmund-Hertha Berlin 9:30amET (GolTV): Dortmund were the
surprise stars of the Bundesliga last season, running away with the title. They did sell young
Turkish-German midfielder Nuri Şahin to Real Madrid, but hung on to 19yo midfielder Mario
Götze, despite interest from Bayern Munich and ManU.
Inter Milan kicked off the new Serie A season with a defeat and there was frustration elsewhere
for European champions FC Barcelona, but the goals continue to flow for Mario Gomez and Wayne
Rooney as the duo helped respective sides Bayern Munich and Manchester United record big wins.
Italy
Inter were hoping to make the most of Friday's 2-2 draw for champions AC Milan against Lazio, but
Inter were upset 4-3 away to against Palermo, despite two goals for Diego Milito and a first for
summer signing Diego Forlán.
With the UEFA Champions League group stages kicking off less than 48 hours, many of Europe's
most distinguished clubs had one eye on the midweek and consequently, they were punished for not
being fully focused on their league opponents.
It all started on Friday night with AC Milan dropping two points at home to Lazio in the Serie
A's opening fixture of the season.
Franck Ribery loves life without Louis. And it starts to show on the pitch. One
of the best games of the French winger in a while. Robbery sounds great on paper. In reality it was
usually about Arjen Robben cutting inside and scoring decisive goals, while Ribery was doubled,
frustrated and ineffective.
On Tuesday, Arsenal will look to build on the good result against Swansea, as they get set to to
begin the next phase of Europe's premier club competition, the UEFA Champions League. Up first for
...
After a home game that was tougher than it probably should be, we're now in a week where we play
two away games which are going to provide real tests to a squad still finding its feet.
Blackburn away next Saturday is never an easy game while tomorrow night our Champions League
campaign kicks off in Germany against Borussia Dortmund.
The Borussia Dortmund central defender Neven Subotic has declared that his team must step up in
order to have a chance to defeat Arsenal in the upcoming Champions League game from Tuesday. The
German side will face English side Arsenal Tuesday in what will be the first game in the "F" Group
of this season's [.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger travelled to Germany with eighteen players ahead of tomorrow's
Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund. Midfielder Aaron Ramsey is out after suffering an
ankle injury on Saturday against Swansea City with midfielder ...
Morning all,
Champions League action tonight and we begin our campaign away at German champions Borussia
Dortmund. From our point of view the team news is that Aaron Ramsey and Tomas Rosicky are added to
our midfield injury list (quite the collection at the moment) but there are returns to the squad
for Alex Song and Gervinho, both of whom have been domestically suspended for their Bartonary
indiscretions.
Champions League Preview: Real and Barca the teams to beat - originally posted on
Soccerlens.com
It seems that in almost every aspect of the game, two clubs dominate the footballing world. They
are Spanish super heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona. Any team boasting multiple stars is said
to echo Real's Galactico era, while teams from League Two to the K-League are said to be a
mini-Barcelona.
You'll never Walk Alone has always been my favourite football anthem, it reminds me of the
wonderful Liverpool teams of the 60′s/70′s and Bill Shankly and the Kop and black and white TV
and my first visit to Anfield. It is THE football anthem. Why am I writing about YNWA? Well,
because it is Borussia Dortmund's anthem, and I have a feeling that with 80,000 Germans singing and
cheering on their young and extremely talented side our boys in Red are going to be feeling very
alone.
Any trip to the Westfalenstadion is daunting. Even if Borussia Dortmund are not playing well, the
fans inside the 80,000 capacity stadium echo a hellish noise from the Südtribüne. Arsenal are not
only taking on this tonight, they are also taking on the German Champions. The task is immense and
recent form shows that the [.
