At a bitterly cold and windswept Queensgate Scarborough Athletic got back to winning ways, but it
was painful to watch, more like a Sunday league game than an NCEL Premier fixture.
As usual Boro squandered what few chances came their way, but in about the 40th minute of the game
skipper Nathan Hotte got the ball and went on a determined run towards the Arnold goal, after
skipping over desperate tackles from the Arnold defence he crossed the ball to Ryan Blott who made
no mistake in putting the ball into the back of Arnold 'keeper Lance Walker's net.
Scarborough Athletic's match with Arnold Town has been covered in my last post, that is one game to
be forgotton about in all honesty, meanwhile as the Boro fans were being bored to tears with the
game at Queensgate our landlord's Bridlington Town did well to gain a point away to Armthorpe
Welfare, Town were 2-0 up at half time but Leo Fortune West pulled a goal back for Welfare and then
just 6 minutes from time Joe Wilcox equalised for Welfare earning his team a share of the points.
