After dramatic victory against Mansfield last Saturday, Boro return to action tomorrow against
bottom side Chester. After having 25 points deducted at the start of the season it was always going
to be an up hill struggle for Chester to overcome and 9 points from their opening 9 games have not
given them a great start either.

It's a question I have seen crop up a lot on various message boards over the last few weeks, so
is Boro's Adam Johnson the best player in the Championship?
There is no doubting that Johnson has had a superb start to the campaign, 5 league goals and 1

Rewind back to 2003 and you'll see that Jonathan Woodgate had everything. From critical acclaim
to a huge fan following, he had all the essentials required to go down in the Newcastle folklore as
one of the very best defenders of all time. However, the only obstacle that could stop him injuries

relisted in the game at 1! He's listed as a forward, which isn't ideal because to my mind, he'll
play in midfield as he often did for Boro. As I wrote in the Monday Morning Manager: It will be
very interesting to see how they incorporate Tuncay into the squad.

Hello my dears, I hope you had a lovely weekend. Obviously you could have nothing but as Bolton had
their first win in 10 league matches (since April, v. Boro for those of you counting). If you
missed the game here are the highlights. Now onto actual analysis instead of me just blabbering
on.

It is now I think well over 5 years since Arsene started using the youth in this competition.
Yesterday the trend continued with 8 teenagers. We can safely that is significantly higher to be
singled out so precisely. Of course if you really want to be picky, then as I mentioned before in
my previous post, you can count Senderos as a young un as well.
