Say hello to the lovely Madison Makenzie. 21 year old Madison is a hot favourite for Miss UK
Football Finder 2009 with her victory demolition in the Sexy Football League season 3.
Mornin all. It's been very very quiet on the Arsenal front lately. Tomorrow we start the Amsterdam
Tournament, which matches us up against Ajax and Sevilla. It should be the final preparation for
our Champions League match next Wednesday against FC Twente. We'll be seeing what will most likely
be our starting eleven out there Saturday or Sunday.
Boro manager Gareth Southgate looks set to beat fellow Premiership clubs Everton and Newcastle for
the signature of highly-touted American Michael Bradley after offering Dutch club Heerenveen
£3.2m to part with their ace midfielder. Boro manager Gareth Southgate also looks set to sign
USA midfielder Michael Bradley from Dutch side Heerenveen for around £3.
Saturday Arsenal v Hull City, 17:30 Can Hull's excellent run keep going. Against Arsenal? Away? No,
it can't. Prediction: 2-1 to Arsenal. Not an easy win for the Gunners, but a win nonetheless. Bonus
Prediction: DNA tests confirm Hull's 39 year old striker Dean Windass as the father of Jack
Wilshere, Carlos Vela and Kieran Gibbs.
I think we've established by now that my predictions are pretty unreliable. If I say something's
going to happen, then it almost definitely won't. But like a fly bashing its tiny head against a
window, I keep trying. To see what the pros at Paddy Power think, check out the odds on this
weekend's games [.
Saturday, 25 October 2008 Everton v Man Utd, 12:00 Poor David Moyes. All he wants is for Everton's
season to turn around so he can start enjoying that massive new salary. But the damn Premier League
fixture computer keeps pitting The Toffees against teams with bigger and better squads. Better luck
next week David.
How many scores did I get right last week? Absolutely none, that's how many. But am I discouraged?
Of course not. You see, it wasn't my fault. Turns out someone (not me) had forgotten to recalibrate
the old crystal ball for the new season and it was still on the 2007/8 settings. But I've had the
[...
Manucho, the Angola striker named in the Africa Cup of Nations Best 11, could make his
Manchester United debut tonight Carling Cup against Boro. I didn't know too much about him so, to
save you faithful readers the trouble, I researched him and have to say I'm looking forward to
seeing him have a run out.
Well, I did get a couple of things right last week, like Daniel Sturridge scoring for Man City. But
overall, not so good. Arsenal to beat Fulham? You'd think so, but no. But maybe third time's the
charm. Here are my predictions for week three in the Premier League. Saturday Bolton 1-1 West
Bromwich Albion A win over Stoke [.
Read the scenario below. If teams were NOT awarded points for wins and draws what DIFFERENT
criteria would result in the situation described? Answer: The team with
............................... is awarded more points. "West Ham are crowned champions of the
Premier League, while Aston Villa narrowly beat Middlesbrough for the 2nd group stage CL spot.

Rangers opened their pre-season campaign with a comfortable 3-1 victory against Stevenage
Borough.
Goals from Hogan Ephraim, Romone Rose and Matteo Alberti saw the R's ease into a three goal lead,
and although Iyseden Christie pulled one back for Boro,' Iain Dowie's men were good value for their
win.
I think I'm getting better at this predicting business. Last week's attempts at clairvoyance
actually yielded two correct scores (Man City 1-3 Chelsea and Portsmouth 2-1 Middlesbrough). But I
also predicted that Liverpool vs Man Utd would be goalless only for Carlos Tevez to make a liar out
of me within three minutes.
Wednesday, 29 October 2008 Arsenal v Tottenham, 20:00 This has to be one of the most interesting
north London derbies for a long while. Arsenal clearly have the better team of footballers (well,
they do) but Spurs have the Redknapp bounce (or the Judas bounce, depending on who you ask). The
former might outweigh the latter.
Saturday, 8 November 2008 Arsenal v Man Utd, 12:45 With Walcott, Gallas, Sagna, Adebayor and Eboue
all doubtful and Robin van Persie injured, we could be seeing Arsenal's Carling Cup team at the
Emirates. That might work against Sheffield United, but it won't work against Manchester United.
Odds: (win/draw/win) Gunners 2-1, Draw 9-4, Man Utd 11-8 Prediction: 2-0 to [.
Saturday, 29 November 2008 Middlesbrough v Newcastle, 15:00 Saturday's fixtures aren't that
exciting (Sunday's where the action's at.) But if you had to watch a Saturday game, watch this one.
If only to see a possible comeback from Mark Viduka. If he partners Owen at any point, that's
officially the most injury prone strike partnership in world [.
Everton boss David Moyes has issued a "hands off" warning for clubs who want to lure
Andrew Johnson out of Goodison Park. The future of England international, Andy Johnson, is hanging
in the balance as the latest reports suggest that Everton manager does not want to sell him at ANY
price. He has four years left [.
Ashley Westwood has left Stevenage by "mutual consent". The writing was on the wall
really when Westwood's face was missing from the 2008/2009 squad photo, even though Peter
Vincenti, who is also on the transfer list, is in the picture. Westwood was only at Boro
for 7 months after joining the club on a free transfer from Chester [.
With the start of the season now just three weeks away, it's time to dust off the memory bank and
delve into some classic encounters from the opening day of the season. Relive some great, and not
so great, names of years gone by and add your own memories as I present ten stunning openings to
the Premier League season.
A strong looking Stevenage squad travelled down the A1 this evening to face Ryman
Premier side Boreham Wood at Meadow Park. Boro won the game easily 6-0 in their most convincing
victory of pre-season so far. A brace from Mitchell Cole, who started up front, as
well as goals from Eddie Anaclet, Steve Morison, Michael Bostwick and Lee Boylan, from the [.
Middlesbrough have completed the £3million signing of full-back Justin Hoyte from Arsenal on a
four-year contract. The 23-year-old, a former England Under-21 international, has agreed a deal to
stay with the Teessiders until the summer of 2012. On his move, Hoyte seemed surprised at how quick
everything had been sorted.
Joe Hart...future England keeper?
2007/8 Review
Manchester City present a conundrum for any statistician examining the 2007/8 Premiership. They
performed so poorly in their final three games, contests which were essentially meaningless to
Citeh, that some of the data is devalued.

Last 4 head-to-head:
3-2 Liverpool (h) 02.23.08
1-1 (a) 01.12.08
2-0 Liverpool (h) 04.18.07
0-0 (a) 11.18.06
Last match:
Liverpool: 1-0 Sunderland (a)
Middlesbrough: 2-1 Spurs (h)
Referee: Mike Riley
Guess at a squad:
Reina
Arbeloa Carragher Agger Dossena
Kuyt Gerrard Alonso Benayoun
Keane
Torres
Yes, I know, except for Agger, this would be the same line-up that struggled at Sunderland.
Reina
Arbeloa Carragher Skrtel Dossena
Kuyt Gerrard Alonso Benayoun
Keane
Torres
Goals:
Mido 70'
Carragher 85'
Gerrard 90+4'
Wow. Just wow.
We've been privy to some incredible comebacks in the past five or so years. As late ones go,
Olympiacos and West Ham obviously top that list, but this was a special last 10 minutes in its own
right.
Rafa Benitez will this week make an official approach to Middlesbrough for Stewart Downing.
The Reds boss had hoped Downing would remain on Merseyside for talks following Boro's 2-1 defeat at
Anfield yesterday, but the winger's boss Gareth Southgate refused him permission.
Benitez is a huge fan of the England star and is prepared to meet the north-east side's £12
million valuation.
If Liverpool fans have dreams of winning the Premier League this season, they can kiss them
goodbye. Today at Anfield, Liverpool escaped with a 2-1 win over Middlesbrough with a woeful
performance that was rescued by an own goal and then an injury time goal by Steven Gerrard.
This was a cruel blow to Middlesbrough who played a strong defensive game for most of the match
under a 4-5-1 formation.
Liverpool are ready to make a £14 million bid for Middlesbrough midfielder Stewart Downing.
The England international has been linked with a whole host of exits from the Riverside over the
past 12 months or so with Tottenham also said to be interested. (News of the World)
The 24-year old could finally solve Rafa Benitez' left-sided problems, which have existed for some
time now.
Stevenage Borough's Youth team begin their FA Youth Cup campaign tonight when they face
Bishop's Stortford at Broadhall Way. It's the first game in the Youth Cup for the newly
formed youth side since Colin Read took over during the summer. In their last game
Boro were beaten quite comfortably at Broadhall Way by Barnet.
Exactly 125 days after the final one of his 42 last season, Ronaldo converted his first of this
one. A Carling Cup tie with Middlesbrough may be somewhat less enthralling than a Champions League
final at the Luzhniki Stadium but the headers were eerily similar, marking the end of a turbulent
summer for Ronaldo and providing [.
Saturday, 1 November 2008 Everton v Fulham, 12:45 Looks like an Everton win, until you realize the
Toffees have only picked up two home points this season. And Andy Johnson (finally) found his
shooting boots on Wednesday, so maybe he'll do a Bentley against his old employers. He's 250-1 for
a hat-trick.
Saturday, 15 November 2008 Bolton v Liverpool, 12:45 Steven Gerrard's right foot vs Jussi
Jaaskelainen's incredible octopus impression. Quite a contest, but Bolton's two match winning
streak ends here. And Rafa Benitez will insist on using the word "jes" in his post-match
interview. Odds: Bolton 5-1, Draw 13-5, Liverpool 8-13 Prediction: 0-1 Arsenal v Aston Villa, 15:00
John Carew has a [.
Middlesbrough v Arsenal Full Article Boro defenders Robert Huth and Chris Riggott could return to
the side after injury, David Wheater is suspended. Gary O'Neil and Mido (hamstring) will miss out,
while Justin Hoyte and Andrew Taylor (knee) are doubtful. Arsenal need to improve to save season,
says Mikael Silvestre Full Article Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre has warned his [.
After snapping up Iyseden Christie yesterday from Kidderminster, Boro have added yet another
striker today after clinching a deal to bring Lee Boylan back to Broadhall Way. This brings
the current number of strikers at Boro up to 8 if you include youngsters Elliot Buchanan and
Jerome Anderson plus Steve Morison who surely is halfway up the A1(M) [.
By Aries You would have surely heard the news and seen the video, first reported on this site, that
Eduardo's recovery in Brazil has been coming along expertly. If you haven't you can watch the video
of Eduardo in physiotherapy kicking a ball on the right hand side of this page. Arsenal coach and
one of Wenger's close confidants on Arsenal's staff, Boro Primorac (who is from Herzegovina) has
According to France's Le Figaro, AS Monaco is not only after Freddy Adu but may be offering SC
Heerenveen € 6 million for US midfielder Michael Bradley. Germany's Bayer Leverkusen and
Hamburger SV, along with England's Middelsbrough and Everton have also expressed interest in
Bradley. Currently, the Monaco bid is the most definitive piece of news to have leaked out thus
far.
Roy Keane, a born winner We all know that Keano was a winner as a player, although his full name of
Roy Maurice Keane suggest otherwise. The Black Cats have been the classic yo-yo club over the past
few seasons, but after keeping them up with points to spare, we ask, is Roy Keane the real deal?

By 1970's Gooner Boro Primorac is considered to be Arsene's "real" right hand man as far
as strategy and tactics are concerned. Wenger did after all take him to Japan as his second in
command when he managed Grampus Eight there. He usually sits behind Wenger looking serious and
quiet and he does not usually speak much.
According to the BBC in an online article published in December of last year, Middlesbrough's youth
academy has produced the most graduates (9) eligible to represent England at international level
and start in at least five senior games for the club since the 2002-2003 season, including Stewart
Downing, Lee Cattermole (now at Wigan), David Wheater, Stuart Parnaby (now at Birmingham City),
Andrew Taylor, and Adam Johnson.
Aston Villa have signed England right-back Luke Young from Middlesbrough, who reportedly want
Liverpool's Steve Finnan as his replacement.
Young, 29, completed a medical on Thursday evening before becoming the second new full-back to
arrive at Villa Park following the capture of Nicky Shorey from Reading earlier in the day.
My favourite time of the year (not really)(but almost): squad numbers! 1 MARK SCHWARZER 2 MORITZ
VOLZ - shame, if he's going to Boro would've been nice for Stoor to have 2 3 PAUL KONCHESKY -
proper left back number 4 JOHN PANTSIL - quite a coup for John, this. Good number, 4. I
hope John uses it well 5 [.
