It's USMNT game day and we're pumped as always to see what Klinnsmann and the Nats have in store
for us, but it's the above retro clip that has us buzzing as well.
Dave Brett (who's based in FBM HQ's city of Austin) collects historic videos of American soccer and
he sent us a link to the above clip that he posted to YouTube yesterday.

No big surprises here, but, in case any of you were wondering, defenders seem to be a priority
heading into the transfer window next Friday. We already knew about one defender who was on trial
with the Portland Timbers, that player being Aleksander Ignjatovic. There was also a rumor going
around that Chilean defender Boris Gonzalez was being considered by the Timbers.
Player rumors, this one from Chile
Google Translation:
"One is defender Boris Gonzalez , who runs a football offer from the United States .
"It's Portland Timbers, a club that is close to New York. That's all I use, since they came into
contact with Augustus (González, president of Cobreloa).
On this week's show Boris Aguilar from Toronto joins us to talk about their designated player
signings. We're also joined by Dave Clark to talk the big picture surrounding the recent
supporter/front office friction and talk to Jeremy Davis, the General Manager of the Fort Active

The youth teams are setting the stage nicely for their older (or, in some cases, just better...)
brothers with some lovely victories. I managed to catch some of the U-21 match against the
Netherlands yesterday, and I'm glad I did.
The season is still 10 days away, but branding exercises set in place by our team of marketing
staffers have long been in place. Whether in the form of an ad welcoming Charlie Davies to DC, a
billboard in Adams Morgan, a promotional video truck circling the city, creative packaging for
season ticket delivery, or grassroots activation in action, the talented cast of Kyle Sheldon,
Boris Flores, Amanda Farina, Ben Mahler, Jamie Siegel and Andrew Minucci are at the root of the
project.

The game was action packed. There were momentum swings, great saves, not so great saves, scuffles
and the strangest winning goal I have seen in an indoor soccer game.Omaha jumped out to a lead when
Comets keeper Boris Pardo's pass was intercepted by Moojen who did not miss the wide open goal
despite Pardo almost making it back in time.
