The Swope Park Rangers (the Wizards reserves) defeated the US Under 17 national team tonight out at
the Swope Park training complex 3-0 on goals by Roger Espinoza, Herculez Gomez, and Kevin Souter.
The Rangers dominated their younger opponents for much of the game, but the 17's still did well
throughout, having their moments.

Sorry for the lack of posts today everyone, it was a long day of travel from KC to Massachusetts.
We just exited the team meal, and the guys are back to their rooms for some down time before
tomorrow night's contest against the New England Revolution at 6:30 p.m. CT. Don't forget that
we'll be hosting watch parties for both our game and the U.

Wanted to share some shots from Thursday. They played a full squad, full field scrimmage in the
second half of practice. Boris Pardo stopping Davy's breakaway on goal...Kevin Souter has started
scrimmaging. He played a little while in the game with Creighton and played the whole scrimmage
today. He looked a little tentative the other day but looked much more comfortable today.

The guys went through a light session this morning before departing for San Jose. One thing of
note, defender/midfielder Chance Myers has been removed from the Disabled List and is available for
selection Saturday should Peter Vermes feel he is ready for game action. Kronberg and Souter remain
on the DL.

In the past 3 days, Roger Espinoza has played 210 minutes for the Wizards in all competitions. A
big accomplishment at this level.
The first minutes in all competitions this season that Kevin Hartman has not played.
Claudio Lopez and Herculez Gomez are the only players that have appeared in all 18 games this
season.

Yesterday, our KCW Reserves/Swope Park Rangers crushed the Springfield Demize of the PDL 11-0.
Wizards goals scored by: Thompson (5), Zusi (2), Wolff, Kraus, Leathers and Morsink. Boris Pardo

said today that Eduardo underwent two minor surgeries. The first was a revision surgery on the left
ankle to remove small metal screws which were originally placed there to assist in his recovery
from the horrible injury he sustained more than a year ago.

The Swope Park Rangers took care of business today against Missouri State, winning 3-0 over the
Missouri Valley team. The Rangers started the game off fast taking the game to the Bears and
winning an early corner. Herculez Gomez took the corner which when over the crowd in the middle of
the box, bounced once and was met by the head of Abe Thompson who buried his header into the net to
give the Rangers the early lead.

TRABAJO DE CANCHA REALIZO - EL TECNICO GARY STEMPEL
Por segundo día consecutivo entrenaron los jugadores llamados a entrenar por el técnico Gary
Stempel, realizando su sesión en la mañana del martes 14 de abril en la cancha de entrenamiento
de la Ciudad Deportiva.
La práctica que duró cerca de hora y media y a la que asistieron 20 jugadores, consistió
básicamente en trabajos tácticos y de definición.

Boris Pardo walked around the Swope Park Soccer Fields, mingling with young players and fans.

So it's Carling Cup time again and the back wheel skids have miracously got to Wembley for the 2nd
year on the trot. They did the job last year seeing of Chelsea but has Harry got it in the bag to
see of Big Alex and his rampaging Reds, fighting for trophies left, right and centre? Sorry Fergie,
I hate to put a dampener on your quest for more silver than Long John but I feel there may be an
upset on the cards.
