São Paulo gift Ronaldo a goal in the Morumbi
A 2-1 victory over strugglers Atlético Paranaense plus São Paulo's and Internacional's
failures to win their games has left Palmeiras in a commanding position in the Campeonato

the first time in 2009. Sao Paulo struck its 5th victory in a row by beating 3-1 Goias, the club

Celso Roth's revitalization of Atlético Mineiro continued on Sunday with a 3-0 victory over
Náutico in Belo Horizonte. The win, plus Internacional's 0-0 draw at home to Vitória, was enough

A stoppage time penalty from Landon Donovan took some of the sting out of a tough loss to Costa
Rica at San Jose's Saprissa Stadium on Wednesday night. Showing an experimental 433 lineup, the US
ended up getting tested early and playing behind for most of the game. Alvaro Saborio opened the
scoring in the second minute and Celso Borges added another in the 13th.
