Head go boom. I find myself regularly saying something like "You'll know soccer is big in American
when..." with various endings to the statement. Some of them relate to the media, others to the...
I was in splits while watching this game. In so many ways it mirrored out recent losses against
the big teams that I couldn't help but laugh at the irony.
Chelsea got caught out early on. How many times have we seen that happen to us?! There wasn't
anything really wrong with Chelsea in the first few minutes but Inter were just a bit quicker off
the blocks and boom, they scored from nowhere!
The perception may be that English football is unsustainable, but compared to Russia it seems
comfortingly robust.
After the boom, Russia's leading clubs are fighting to avoid the bust.

I noticed that the Guardian shortlisted this Messi goal for end-of-season honours, more because
of a wonderful through ball by Xavi than for anything Messi did, but for my coin the Messi solo
goal posted above is way more impressive.
Messi's unstoppable chip at pace against Arsenal was also in the reckoning, but in the end his
goal against Zaragoza sums up Leo better than any other he scored this season.

It rained a lot at Upton Park. Kolo Toure scored the winner, meaning Cesare Prandelli lost his
first match in charge of Italy (as did Marcello Lippi in 2004).
The way things are going, there's a real danger that Italy won't even qualify for Euro 2012.
Coming soon to Stamford Bridge, T-Shirt Time.
That's right. Romes is brining the Shore to SW6. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is in the
process of completing the construction of a £20 million private nightclub below Stamford Bridge.
Finally. Not since 2007, when the Purple nightclub boarded up, has the Bridge been fist-pump
accessible.
Good game this. End to end stuff and had Persis' strikers proved a bit cannier on the last defender
they could have taken the points. Instead, nothing.
They took the lead through the experienced Nova Zaenal from about 30 yards but Tarik El Jalaby, the
most influential player on the field, equalised right on half time.
Indonesia is enjoying its own footballing boom with attendances flocking to both the ISL and IPL.
This game being played in front of a packed Persikabo Stadium in Cibinong is being showed live on
TV with both teams even having shirt sponsors.
Persikabo dominated the game but it took them 81 minutes to break the deadlock when David Ngabe's
free kick hit the top corner past a wall that worked hard to get out the way.
Club development has seen a huge boom in the last 2 years with new teams and new
sections developing all the time. Competitive football opportunities are now available at 7-a-side
and 11-a-side for any player aged 8 yrs and upwards!

menciona que si uno de los dos padres es mexicano, al hijo se le considera como mexicano);

Normally, I wouldn't post video of David Beckham making the rounds on America's talk-show circuit,
but his interview with David Letterman stood out to me because of the in-depth explanation of
Beckham's achilles surgery (warning: pictures) and also because Letterman boom roasts the English
midfielder with the last line of the clip.

Sorry ladies, he's taken.
Bloated Daily Mail hack Martin Samuel, the Jabba the Hutt of football writers,
has injured his hand whilst covering the World Cup in South Africa. We're not sure how too much
time spent watching the 'special' TV channels in his hotel room, perhaps?
Little Toronto (aka Auckland, New Zealand)
We try to be modest here but we think we have a decent little site here that caters to footy fans
of the Toronto FC ilk/ head wound victims. We had no idea however what tremendous power we wielded.
Two days before the World Cup began, we officially adopted New Zealand (starring ex-TFC'er Andrew
Boyens) as our "Yorkies World Cup Minnow".

of you who don't know I recently made a twitter account which you should all follow me on, It's

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but
where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.", Martin Luther King, 1963
"The ultimate measure of a football blogger is not whether she posts in times of triumph, but the
quality and frequency of her writing in times of trouble", Georgina Best, 2010
One of us managed to live up to our ideals.
Irregardless of what will happen next Sunday, for sure we all realize that the Spanish football has
stepped into a very different level, to the world class level. It is very similar to the big
boom...

Ahh, Pre-Season. A time for cathartic blood-letting. Out with the old, in with the new and all
that. After a collection of pretty miserable post-boom seasons, those were the feelings that would
have dominated the minds of most Bradford City supporters over the past few weeks as their club
looks to build on a half-promising end to last season.

Craig Bellamy on one of his famous charm offensives
BREAKING: Looks like Man City bad boy Craig Bellamy has decided to get away
from it all, by spending six months on loan at Cardiff City in the Championship. Yes, he's zipping
up his boot bag and going back to his roots.

Yes it's another story of a professional footballer crashing an incredibly expensive car. Mario
Balotelli must have had this £120,000 customized Audi R8 for less than a week and then boom. It's
not the first time we have seen this happen, what is it with footballer's and cars? Anyway check
out these pics.
Things are obviously getting less formal at the AFC if yesterday's official teamsheet is anything
to go by. Sarayoot Chaikamdee was listed as 'Joe5yard', the English translation of his Thai
nickname. The terminally confused British commentator must have thought the 5 was an S and spent
the whole match calling him Joe-sigh-ard Sarayoot!

[Spotted on Dirty Tackle]
It's difficult to laugh at the misfortunes of those who play on a pitch which looks to simply be
the most convenient patch of local grass they could find, but this one's okay I suppose.
This is the Irish third division, and they're about to earn infamy for possibly the worst
clearance in the history of the sport.
Two years on from Lehman brothers, and the global crash that signalled the end of our high
flying boom years, the word ‘recession' now seemingly courses through our veins, and austerity
has become something we have now grudgingly accepted. Eurozone countries' economies seem to be
collapsing like Dominos, while George Osborne determinedly leads Britain to ‘recovery' by proudly
living up to his nickname of ‘the slasher'.
