I was just browsing around the internet aimlessly (as I do!) and I found a website that is
advertising prices on who will take over as Arsenal manager if and when Arsene Wenger retires. So I
thought; That's an interesting question.... So, according to the two bookies offering prices, the
two favourites are Martin O'Neill and Jose [.
As the New Year approaches this seasons title race is one of the most open in the history of the
Premier League. No one is showing form that suggests they will run away with it and five teams will
seriously still believe that could become Champions come the end of the season. Let's take a look
at the contenders.
Newcastle United defender Sol Campbell has slammed the club's decision to sack manager Chris
Hughton. Few people if any expected Hughton's sacking, and many questions are being asked as to why
the decision was made. Campbell, a seasoned veteran of the Premier League, has criticized the
decision, going as far as saying it "makes no sense.
The draw for the first knockout round has just been made in Switzerland and this is how it looks
for the English clubs:
AC Milan v Spurs
Arsenal v Barcelona
Olympique Marseille v Manchester United
FC Copenhagen v Chelsea
On paper, it looks as if Chelsea have the 'easiest' tie, but Copenhagen are unbeaten in the
league and eliminated Rubin Kazan and Panathinaikos in the Group Stage.
Its a given isn't it - surely Messi, the bookies favourite, is going to take home the
Ballon d'Or for the second year running?
- As this video shows, he scored three hat tricks in a week (10 in total)
- Last season he scored 47 goals in 53 games
- This season he has already scored 27 goals in 23 games (17 in 14 just in the League)
- He has scored 55 goals in the 2010 alone
- He broke his own record this season by scoring in 10 consecutive games
- The record ended when Barca bear Real Madrid 5-0.
Arsene Wenger saw his much-changed team beat Wigan 2-0 to reach the semi-finals of the Carling Cup,
but although Man Utd were knocked out, it doesn't mean that Arsenal are now certainties to win
their first trophy in five years. They are certainly now hot favourites with the bookies. He was
asked if Arsenal fans were [.
Dear oh dear. All that fuss for two votes. South Africa was bad: this is humiliating. Once
again, the gaping chasm between English football's expectations and rewards is brutally exposed.
All we can do is sit back and huff: maybe next decade.
But this time, unlike in South Africa, the English cannot blame ourselves.
Yes, we couldn't resist tuning in this morning to fifa.com for their live stream of the honorable
Sepp Blatter hosting Double Decision Day. But we also tuned into our twitter stream. Here's a
curation of what we read in those 30 minutes:
10:28amET: "Whisper in the
auditorium is England "punished" for nasty media.
NEWCASTLE, England Following the sacking of Chris Hughton as manager of Newcastle United, who will
the next man to take the St James' Park hot seat? Despite Hughton leading the Magpies back into the
top flight at the first time of asking with virtually the same squad that had suffered relegation
in 2009, the [.
Barcelona stars Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi have been shortlisted for the FIFA Ballon
d'Or. The winner will be announced in Zurich on January 10.
It's a remarkable feat for Barca to have three players nominated. The last time a club boasted
all the players in the Ballon D'Or top three voting was in 1989 when Milan's Marco Van Basten,
Franco Baresi and Frank Rijkaard were on the podium.
Martin Jol and Alan Pardew seem to have become the bookies favorites to take over at St James'
Park, but we'd immediately drop Alan Pardew simply because he's not good enough and every Newcastle
fan knows that. Alan Pardew - not good enough to manage Newcastle What does Mike Ashley want an

There have been many reasons for Chelsea's recent struggles both on English soil and, after last
night's French humiliation at the hands of Marseille, on foreign soil too, with the Blues now
slipping from their position as favourites on most odds comparison sites to win the league.
However, perhaps one of the most unexpected problems the Blues have had to deal with has been the
complete failure of Ramires to settle in at the club and adjust to life in English football.
This feels like the biggest game in years. It just might be.

"The future, always so clear to me, had become like a black highway at night. We were in
uncharted territory now, making up history as we went along. The unknown future rolls toward us. I
face it for the first time with a sense of hope, because if a machine, a Terminator, can learn the
value of human life, maybe we can, too.

This week's main report takes a look at the fixtures in the knockout stage of the Champions
League. The draw was made last night and the games will be played next year in February.
I was alerted by an article on
Arsenal Mania about the game on Monday night and it got me
thinking to say the least.
The article stated the following:
"This is really the best possible time to be taking on Carlo Ancelotti's side and you
really get the feeling that if we take all three points then pundits will openly declare that
Chelsea are starting to come apart.
