Bookies are slashing odds on the Anfield Cat to become the next England boss. After his fearless
display on Monday night, the Cat has been attracting attention from all over the globe. The 4
legged cutie showed more bottle in one night than in 5 years under the atrocious Sven McClaren.
'With England's woeful displays in recent tournaments, a change of direction is exactly what the
team need', said the Cat's owner.
AC Milan will be looking to put behind them their disastrous weekend outing when they host
Juventus at the San Siro tonight in the Coppa Italia first leg semi-final. With Juventus also
having settled for a similar barren draw with Siena in the weekend, the match will definitely be an
explosive one.
Being forced to sell his captain during the January and consequently losing matches heavily did for
Simon Grayson. While OTP feels slightly sorry for the recently sacked Grayson, we won't be dwelling
on his departure for too long because there are some exciting prospects in contention to be the new
boss at Elland [.

What with Liverpool set for their first visit to 'Anfield South' in 16 years by way of their
Carling Cup semi-final win over Manchester City last night, we though we'd revisit the last time
the club earned themselves a day out at Wembley, i.e, the 1996 FA Cup Final against Manchester
United.
The time has finally come to play out the reverse fixture of the 8-2 defeat that Arsenal
suffered at the hands of Manchester United on that horrific August evening at Old Trafford. The
memories of that mauling are fresh on the minds of not only the Gunners fans but also European
bookies like Champions League betting, which is why Arsenal have been priced as the underdogs
even though this Sunday's match is taking place in the North Londoners' own backyard.
Mirror: What are the odds City beat United in Sunday's FA Cup showdown? Derek McGovern's
Bets of the Day
The fact that Chelsea are favourites for the FA Cup tells you all you need to know about this
year's competition. Namely, that the bookies have made a pig's ear of pricing it up.

So, it feels pretty good to be a Spurs fan at the moment right?! Six points off City with a game in
hand and possibly even more satisfying, six points in front of Arsenal with that same game in hand.
I'm looking forward to the FA Cup this weekend and I'm hoping we will make short work of Cheltenham
even if most of the first eleven are given what would be a well overdue rest.
Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea, Thursday 22nd December 2011, 8pm Kick off, Sky Sports 1 &
HD1
Spurs are used to playing on a Thursday night this season. Of course the previous fixtures have
been in the Europa League, now the Premier League are getting in on the action too.
Betting Preview: Robin van Persie to lead Arsenal to a win over Manchester City? - originally
posted on Soccerlens.com
Even after suffering their first defeat of the Premier League season, Manchester City still sit
atop the Premier League table, but archrivals and reigning league champions Manchester United are
only two points behind and ready to pounce, and Tottenham, Chelsea, and Arsenal can‘t be
dismissed at this juncture.
After winning an impressive £156 last week from our £55 stake, we look to again prize profit out
of the hands of the bookies. First bet concerns the Premier League, and backs Blackburn to win
consecutive home games for the first time in 46 years, or at least since Steve Kean took charge.

The ‘Redknapp for England' shouts have quietened down a little in recent weeks and undoubtedly
the manager's impending court case and his minor heart surgery have had their parts to play in
that. In addition, there have been suggestions that Fabio Capello could even stay on at Lancaster
Gate after next summer.

Chelsea, Newcastle fight for Champions League as Man Utd face must-win situation - originally
posted on Soccerlens.com
Man United is in danger of slipping to third as Spurs step up their game as Newcastle and
Chelsea face-off for the UEFA Champions League spot. The Gunners are expected to cruise to victory
in their visit to 19th place Wigan.
Ferguson punished for showing Palace a lack of respect
Bookies were offering odds of 12/1 on a Crystal Palace victory at Old Trafford last night, and
Sir Alex Ferguson's shock following his side's 2-1 quarter final loss showed that he expected his
Manchester United side to win as much as they did.
Who next for Sunderland? All the runners and riders for the Stadium of Light

After Steve Bruce's departure from the Stadium of Light, a number of managers will already have
their eye on replacing him as Sunderland boss. Here are the early runners and riders. Martin

What are the odds goal-line technology ISN'T in use in the Prem by 2014? Derek
McGovern's Bets of the Day
Alex Ferguson reckons goal-line technology is a good idea, presumably because anything on the
goal-line for his Manchester United side is better than David De Gea.

What are the odds Spurs finish above Arsenal this season? Derek McGovern's Bets of the
Day
Arsenal fans will turn up at the Emirates on Saturday mourning the abolition of St
Totteringham's Day. It's the day when Tottenham can no longer mathematically catch the Gunners in
the Premier League and, like my Grand National good thing, normally falls in April.
After a very bright start to the season for Liverpool which saw them made favourites from the
chasing pack to finish in the top four things seem to have gone a little wrong with draws taking
over from wins as Liverpool's most common result at Anfield and the bookies now think that
Liverpool could struggle to break into the top four this season.

High lines, wing battles and diagonal balls... five ways England CAN beat
Spain
So England are going to get mullered at Wembley on Saturday, yes? A disjointed team who laboured
through the later stages of qualifying and are additionally depleted by injury against the World
and European champions, a team largely comprised of arguably the best club side ever.
Andy Murray with a few words on Team of the Week AC Milan at Serie A Weekly The Rossoneri are back.
Sunday's 4-0 victory over Catania puts Milan third in the table and just a single point away from
leaders Udinese. They've won 5 from 5, scoring 18 goals in the process, and have been reinstated as
the bookies' favourites to win this year's Scudetto.
United are a top priced 1.25 to make the annual return to Manchester another unhappy experience
for former captain Steve Bruce, and if the form book is anything to go by then they should
comfortably beat the Black Cats.
Since suffering a heavy defeat in a certain match which we no longer talk about, the Reds have
answered the calls of the gaffer and quickly got back into winning ways.
How are you feeling this morning?
Still glowing?
Yeah, me too.
We have kind of forgotten what it's like to enjoy a BIG win; a meaningful win; a surprise win
against the odds.
Most of our surprises in the last six months have been nasty ones – the kind Mrs Gary Neville
has every morning when she wakes up and sees who's beside her.
Back to back Premiership wins have done wonders for the confidence and league position of Arsenal
but a trip to Chelsea is testing at the best of times, especially when you're not at full strength,
and the bookies make Chelsea the hot favourites to inflict a fifth loss of the season on the
Gunners. Chelsea [.
In the words of the gaffer it's time to "kick-on" following last week's Derby loss to City and
get back to what United know best winning.
United face a trip to Goodison this weekend to take on David Moyes' Everton, and Sir Alex has
challenged Wayne Rooney to lead the fight back from the sides derby mauling by putting his old club
to the sword.
QPR versus Chelsea; Manchester United against Man City. When down at the bookies, you would
think that the first scoreline would be in favour of Chelsea with maybe a draw at best for the
Manchester derby. But, as the final whistle blew there were many gasps of shock at what had just
happened.
What are the odds Rooney is left out of England's Euro 2012 squad? Derek McGovern's Bets
of the Day
Wayne Rooney has discovered the ramifications of his Montenegro red card... bookies WILL pay out
after all. The Manchester United striker wrote to UEFA this week pleading for mercy, but they said
she was busy and asked would Monica do instead.
What are the odds Oxlade-Chamberlain makes England's Euro 2012 squad? Derek McGovern's
Bets of the Day
Double-barrelled Arsenal striker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain gave Iceland both barrels last week and
had bookies doing a double-check. His hat-trick for England's Under-21s made the top clubs sit up
and take notice with even Spurs contemplating making a bid for him – until they were reminded
thou must never covet thy neighbour's Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Michael Owen's brother Terry (40) is the latest person to be investigated into an
alleged betting probe after ringing in a £200 bet on Wayne Rooney staying at Old Trafford
at 7/2 when everyone else was betting against the United striker staying.
Terry rang in the bet an hour before Rooney announced he was staying at Old Trafford and
investigators believe he had inside information which is apparently illegal in the gambling
world.
Everyone has to admit it has been a struggle so far this season. Four losses from seven matches in
the league has left Arsenal in fifteenth place, already eight points behind fourth place, and the
bookies are now predicting that Arsenal will finish sixth this season, although the cups still
provide Arsenal with a realistic [.
In their tenth season out of the last eleven playing top flight football, ‘the flying donkeys'
were initially punching way above their weight. Generally, with the smallest budget, the smallest
squad and the smallest crowds, every season saw the club installed as both the bookies and the
critics favourites for a return to Serie B.
As a fan of a Non-League side it's very rare that I have anyone to talk to about the team I
support. I completely understand why some people will have little or nothing to say about the
Non-League but what really gets on my nerves is when I hear people writing it off as being a poor
level of football.
Strange times these – the first in my living memory that we've gone into a match against that
‘orrible lot from down the road with the bookies sidling over into the lilywhite camp. The noisy
babblings of my l'Arse supporting chums ring a little hollow these days. Current form; playing
personnel; summer transfer dabbling; inside out; upside down – any way you look at it we have the
edge at the moment.
