Arsene Wenger's stuttering Gunners went in to Sunday's north London derby as most people's
underdogs, however, inspired by a fine performance from Tomas Rosicky in midfield, Arsenal conjured
up a magnificent comeback against a Tottenham side brimming with confidence.

Referee Mike Jones was absolutely correct to dismiss City midfielder Gareth Barry in the 72nd

Manchester City 3-0 Liverpool | Premier League match report
Manchester City returned to authoritative ways. This may not have been a rout, but it was an
efficient win. When Gareth Barry was sent off in the 75th minute after a second bookable offence,
for fouling Liverpool's Daniel Agger, the side reacted almost immediately.
Ten-man Manchester City survived a serious examination of their title credentials to extend their
unbeaten Barclays Premier League record to 13 matches at Anfield.
Had it not been for goalkeeper Joe Hart the visitors may have tasted a league defeat for the first
time since May 7.
They barely had time to celebrate Vincent Kompany's 31st-minute opener before Charlie Adam's shot
was deflected in by Joleon Lescott.
Kenny Dalglish believes the nature of Liverpool's performances against both Manchester clubs is an
indicator of the headway being made on Merseyside.
Sunday's 1-1 draw against 10-man Manchester City may have been the fourth successive time they have
been held at home but that does not really tell the full story.
It took two Wayne Rooney second-half penalties in order for Manchester United to beat minnows
Oţelul Galaţi 2-0 and record their first Champions League win of the season.
United were poor throughout the game as the central midfield pairing of Carrick and Anderson
once again failed to impress.
Must Traore harder Recent QPR signing Armand Traore got an early insight into Neil Warnock's unique

Tottenham 4-0 Liverpool: Nine-man Liverpool embarrassed by Spurs
Charlie Adam and Martin Skrtel were sent off as Liverpool went down to an embarrassing 4-0
defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon . A stunning goal from Luka Modric in the sixth
minute got the hosts off to an ideal start, before the Scotland international was dismissed for a
second bookable offence inside the opening half an hour.
Things have just gone from bad to worse for Liverpool in the first half at Spurs...Apart from being
outplayed for the first 25 minutes, with Spurs quicker to every ball (and looking like they'll
score every time they go forward), Charlie Adam has just been sent off for a second bookable
offence, and Daniel Agger has gone off injured.
The opening round of group matches in the UEFA Champions League were completed on Wednesday with
a shock in Milan, predicted wins for the likes of FC Bayern and Real Madrid proving true whereas

Rangers dive-bombed out of the Champions League at the first hurdle last night, drawing 1-1
against Malmo at the Swedbank Arena, thus failing to reverse the 1-0 home defeat inflicted upon
them by the Swedes at Ibrox last week.
The ill-tempered affair saw Gers end the game with nine men after having both Steven Whittaker
and Madjid Bougherra pick up straight reds for 'hoying the ball around willy-nilly' and 'planting
elbows in craniums' respectively.
The Copa America has produced some sterile matches but the quarter final between Uruguay and
Argentina proved to be an exciting match for spectators.
The fierce rivals were expected to play a tight game but eventual victory on penalties for
Uruguay came at the end of a pulsating affair.
