Recently, we were treated to a fine post from Chas filled with vids of the highlights of the
season. but what were the low points? I am not talking about on-pitch stuff (was Ewood worse than
OT?), No, I mean the off-pitch drama those things in football which are not the result of the
bounce of a ball.
Its saddens me when I hear about all the abuse Ramsey has been receiving. Fans are the first
ones to complain when a player hints at a move, they criticize and call him all sorts of names e.g
Na$ri.
If you want loyal players "ARSENAL FANS" then should you also be loyal to them. Imagine if
Ramsey had a contract until 2014, Wenger continues to show the faith he has shown in him next
season.
In the end, Chelsea demolished Tottenham 5-1, though it took a series of horrible refereeing
decisions by Martin Atkinson while the game was still close to tilt what had been a largely even
game in their favour. No matter the help they received along the way, it sets up an FA Cup final in
three weeks that will see them face Liverpool for the third time this season, with a fourth match
to come between the cup final and the end of the campaign.

Now let's be very clear about this, it was only a small minority of Chelsea fans who behaved in
an utterly despicable way before the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. However, their actions won't
have done the often negative image of Blues' supporters any good at all.
Yes, I have to start out the scouting report talking about Brian Mullan, even though he's far
from the most likely player to have a significant impact on the game. Sounders fans have been
increasingly chided and cautioned over the last few weeks by the media as well as the organization
to just leave the poor guy alone - cause garsh shucks bygones is bygones - to the point that if
every fan doesn't give him a handshake and a wet kiss on the cheek, we've embarrassed the
franchise.
Ouch! Where have I seen it all before? Oh, yeah last week.
Not a surprising development given the fact the Baggies, their Midland rivals routed them in
front of the home crowd, 5-1. Having watched that match it was befuddling to see that much space
given to Peter Odemwingie. The striker was made to look like a genius in the course of getting his
hat trick.
Andrei Arshavin has not appeared for Arsenal since he came on as a sub against Man United, which
sparked a barrage of booing against Arsene Wenger as the Russian walked on the pitch. Arsenal fans
had been severely critical of the 30 year-old this season anyway after a series of lacklustre and
lazy-looking performances for [.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-3 Liverpool Premier League 31st January 2012
Liverpool boosted their top four chances with an impressive victory over Wolves at Molineux on
Tuesday night, while Andy Carroll celebrated the first anniversary of his move to Merseyside with a
much-needed goal.
It seems like anybody who's ever worn an Arsenal shirt is coming out of the woodwork these days to
give their opinion on what ails the club. Former Gunners Paul Merson and Stewart Robson are the
latest to chime in on the current state of affairs at Emirates Stadium and the performance of the
team and manager Arsene Wenger.

Liverpool have apologised after they used footage of a fan making a racist gesture towards
Manchester United defender Patrice Evra in a highlights package on their official website. A
spokesman for Liverpool FC told the BBC: "We can confirm that footage was mistakenly included in
the highlights package that appeared on the website.

Liverpool 2-1 Manchester United FA Cup January 28th
With Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes going head to head with Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, we
could've been back in 2000, although the constant booing of Patrice Evra by the Anfield faithful
belonged farther back in the dark ages.
Arsene Wenger has tried to minimize the damage to Andrei Arshavin's confidence by last weeks booing
by Arsenal fans when he was brought on against Man Utd, and he may have gone just a little
overboard when he said: "I love Arshavin as a man and as a player. "I don't think the fans were

It's undoubtedly been a bad few weeks for the club. Speaking to a friend before the United match I
suggested that the previous five weeks had been the worst I'd seen us consistently play as a team
in the 15 years I've been going to Arsenal. And after the match, we remain pointless in 2012.
But I do think people have suffered from raised expectations.
So I started writing a blog the other night, canned it, and came back to it again with the
intention of letting time dilute my disappointment. Why? Well the first effort was just too
doom-laden, hairshirt-wearing, chest-thumping and – well it was a miserable read all round. I
didn't enjoy writing it so I added one and one together, made two, and realised that nobody of a
sound mental disposition would much care to read it either.
Arsene Wenger seldom criticises his players in public.
So this comment about Andrey Arshavin, made to Sky Sports, has massive implications:
"It does look at times that he doesn't want to be in this country and I think the way that the
winning goal was set up for Manchester United – you expect a player in that position to have
focus and make it hard for the winger.
Understandably, none of our regular authors were inclined to write a match report following
yesterday's game, so you will all have to suffer the thoughts of someone who will I'm sure, not be
expressing the mainstream opinion on this site.
I couldn't go to the game as I had to work. I followed the live commentary on BBC Sport
football, listened to the radio phone in on my way home and watched the lowlights on MotD through
the lattice of my fingers clamped to my face.
Kenny Dalglish insists Luis Suarez has never been a disappointment for Liverpool, as the storm of
controversy continues to surround the striker.
The Uruguayan started his club's 0-0 draw at Wigan on Wednesday less than 24 hours after being hit
with a Football Association ban of eight matches and a fine of £40,000 for allegedly racially
abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra.
Wigan Athletic 0-0 Liverpool: Reds slip up at the DW as Al Habsi stars
An action packed, end-to-end, game at The DW Stadium failed to provide any goals as Wigan
Athletic and Liverpool saw their game end in stalemate on Wednesday night. With the game just hours
away the Liverpool players issued a statement of support for teammate Luis Suarez, who had been
charged with racially abusing Manchester United full-back Patrice Evra, much to the bemusement of
those associated with the club.
If there is one thing we love in football, its a villain. Someone to hurl abuse at in such a
fashion that it would not be out of fashion at a Pantomime at the Hippodrome in Birmingham.
However, in pantomime we all know that anyone booing or hissing is merely in jest and by the end of
the evening the actors and actresses all are smiling away as they accept the standing ovation which
their performance (just about) deserves.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-2 Swansea City Premier League 22 October 2011
A game of two halves this was, with the Swans thoroughly deserving a 2-0 half-time lead courtesy
of goals from Danny Graham and Joe Allen.
However, a half-time booing from the home fans seemed to do the trick for Wolves, who launched a
superb fightback after the break, with Kevin Doyle and Jamie O'Hara eventually salvaging a point
and ending a dismal run of five straight league defeats.
There's been a lot of talk about booing lately. It's an emotive subject. However, the rapid
temperature drop and the darkness of the mornings deserves a good healthy booooooooo if you ask me.
Stoopid winter, coming around every year.
The team will be making their way to France today, ahead of their game against Arsene Wenger's
favourite French team, and confidence will have been boosted by Sunday's win against
Sunderland.

Writer's Note: This is not a "My First Football Match" type article.
The world has been through enough "football revolutions" to know that it is not everyone's
thing. Nothing is. Sure, I can get swept away in the furore and bluntness of the X Factor final but
only for that night (that hasn't happened yet.
Pardon the ghastly pun.
The vain one is Cristiano Ronaldo.
Dinamo Zagreb supporters gave him a good booing on Wednesday night. Ronaldo's explanation for their
attitude towards him was that they were jealous because he was "rich, handsome and a great
player".
So according to that logic people who are poor, ugly and bad at football are the ones who don't get
booed.
I had an interesting interaction via Twitter with Georgina Turner who writes about the Prem for
Sports Illustrated on the topic of the booing of ones own team. The cause of the conversation was
the ugly conclusion to Arsenal vs. New York Red Bull in the final match of the pre-season Emirates
Cup. For those who didn't watch (or read about it), Arsenal supporters channeled their inner
Another frustrating weekend for Arsenal fans has drawn to a close. Two more leads gifted away, a
worry over the fitness of one of our best young players and us being denied the chance to see an
old hero in the red and white once again thanks to a referee who was all to happy to make decisions
he should frankly be embarrassed about.
After initially indicating that Brian Mullan would travel with the Colorado Rapids for their
match against the Seattle Sounders on Saturday, coach Gary Smith has apparently changed his mind
and chosen to leave his midfielder back home. Mullan supposedly wanted to make that trip, but Smith
indicated health was at least part of the decision:
"It's a purely personal feeling from my standpoint," Smith said.
As it was the final home game of the season there were microphones and cameras-a-plenty which
means we've got a considerable amount of material from the players today.
You can call it damage limitation or PR, I guess, but I don't know what else you could expect at
the moment. In the programme Cesc thanked the fans for their support throughout the season, while
SZCZ apologised for another pot-less campaign:
This is one of the biggest clubs in the world and we should be winning trophies every year.
Should not be bothered by Stoke idiots
Stoke. What can you say about them? In life, we try to use specific words to associate with
individuals or any particular thing. For Stoke Football Club there are several. Towels, long throw,
set pieces, boring, ball over the top, cap, tracksuit and thugs are the normal associations that
reminds me of this football club.
In the second part of this afternoon on the subject of football governance, Mark Murphy
watched Dave Richards and Richard Scudamore giving evidence to The Culture Media and Sport select
committee inquiry on football governance, and found that the most impressive thing on display was
Dave Richards' hair.

So three days of gloomy inquests have come and gone. It's amazing how quickly hope turns to
depression in the blogging world.
Leaving aside those sites that are used primarily by the doomers and verbal bovver boys to
vent their spleen and whose anger is in many cases directed at clubs like the Arsenal.
Coming off the back of two highly satisfying away wins the Arsenal now have a run of six home
games out of the next seven.
At our last home game great joy was had by ITV's cameramen in capturing the negative reactions
of the Ashburton Grove support to our number 23's struggles to impose himself on the game.
Arsenal 1 Leeds 1
There's a very nasty tendency among Arsenal fans to pick on individual players when the game isn't
going for us.
The thing about the Leeds match, was that things just weren't going for us. Leeds weren't creating
anything, but frankly, neither were we. And we can have no complaints about the penalty we
conceded.
