Last week, many of us were speculating on the side-eye situation going down between Steven
Gerrard and his wife Alex in the stands at Anfield.
Thank goodness for OK! Magazine because they've got the answer, straight from Alex's weekly
column:
Steven was injured so we both sat in the box together.

Liverpool are confident that a money row between Maxi Rodriguez and Atletico Madrid will not derail
the Argentine's £1.2 million move to Anfield.
Manager Rafa Benitez has agreed a fee with the Spanish club and Rodriguez has accepted the terms of
an 18-month contract.
But the 29-year-old midfielder's arrival has been put in doubt by a stand-off with Atletico.
This week from the tipster, I'm announcing my new website I Am The Tipster.
If you check it out you will see that it's a sports betting website with tips,
information and guides on a large variation of sports. It is written by myself and with the help of
a few others we aim to a helpful service which is fun and will hopefully help punters make a
profit.
Who was the best signing of summer 2009? With price tags like 80m for Cristiano Ronaldo, 50-odd
million for Kaka, 35m for Benzema and of course, 40m + Eto'o for Ibrahimovic, it becomes difficult
to measure the effectiveness of a transfer just in terms of the team's performances. Ronaldo does
far more for Real Madrid than score goals, and buying Ibra gave Barcelona the bonus of getting rid
of Eto'o.
So our players went into this game after the first half of what has been the worst season in
AEK's history. Few fans were expecting such a win and such a pleasing performance from our boys.
But, they pulled it off (whether the 150,000 Euro bonus they were promised helped at all I dont
know) and we have begun the new decade with a fantastic win!
As promised, albeit stupidly late, a Q&A with the guys over at Joys and Sorrows, the Birmingham
City blog, written ahead of our pre-Christmas clash at Goodison. The game, if you didn't already
know finished 1-1 with Seb Larsson canceling out Billy's early goal. It was a match Everton perhaps
should have won, but McCleish' men have a new steel about them this season and effectively repelled
Everton's increasingly agricultural attacks.
So, the 'expected' happened and our match last night was called off. Somehow, Arsenal said it
was due to an 'unpredicted' change in the weather. I suppose the Met Office had only been
predicting it since last week. Then again, when do the weather people ever get it right?
As far as I can see there isn't a free date until the end of February, but I don't mind.
Nigeria's Super Eagles players will each be paid a $30 000 bonus for every game they win at the
group stage of this year's African Nations Cup.
That figure will be reviewed and graduated upwards for the knockout stages.
Additionally, the players will be paid an appearance fee of $3 000 per game for every game they
feature in at the championships.
Although the weekends fixtures have been affected by weather, we will still try and find
some value.
This weeks accumulator is:...
Arsenal to beat Everton
Man City to beat Blackburn
Derby to beat Scunthorpe
Leeds to beat Wycombe
Norwich to beat Exeter
This accumulator is available at 11-1
As our bonus this week.
How about a little transfer speculation to start today's blog? The Mail is championing Louis
Saha as a potential target and with the Everton man out of contract from the summer a cheap as
chips move might just suit Scroogesene Wenger. It probably wouldn't suit Everton though for whom
the Frenchman is top scorer.

"Inger-land, Inger-land!"
Ouch, that is a truly disgraceful shiner. Sorry, can't type much more tears of pride filling my
eyes.
This photo was taken at the '82 World Cup finals in sunny Espana, during England's opening group
game against France you remember, the one in which Bryan Robson scored after a matter of seconds
(27 seconds, to be exact).
This week from the tipster I'm looking at
the weekends fixtures and finding some value.
This weeks accumulator is:...
Aston Villa to beat West Ham
Notts Forest to beat Reading
Huddersfield to beat Southend
Swindon to beat Gillingham
Rochdale to beat Port Vale
Man Utd to beat Burnley
Tottenham to beat Hull
This accumulator is available at 14-1
As our bonus this week.
Ok, Albelda looks like he's enjoying a rave right in that photo so be quiet until
the moment passes! Tres, dos, uno... ok, here we go. Los Che pulled off a
nice 4-1 victory over Villarreal last night (poor, poor Nilmar)
and damn, the goals were coming at you like there was no tomorrow!

"Wahay! Bridgey, look at you and me, playing for England together! This is ace!"
It's lovely to see team-mates and friends play nice.
Apropos of nothing, let me also throw in this bonus piccy of JT & Bridgey's WAGs, hanging out
together at the 2006 World Cup in Germany:
(Terry's WAG, Toni, is the blonde on the left.
Right then, where were we? That's right, on the deals that are supposed to have happened, but
according to Tottenham Hotspur, haven't.
Just so that we're clear, Eidur Gudjohnsen has signed up until the end of the season on loan. I'll
get to him in a minute.
The news I'm not too sure about, is the Kaboul/Begovic signings.
