D. C. United aren't messing about, Kickettes. Our declaration that the New York Redbulls were
the hottest team in the MLS obviously went down like a lead balloon filled with unattractive, poor
people.
Santino Quaranta is not taking this lying down. (Well, if he is taking it lying down, he's doing
situps at the same time.
Supporters of Stu Holden, the USMNT player and former Houston Dynamo star, have been singing the
midfielder's praise all season for his breakout role with Bolton. Now Holden, in his first English
Premier League season, is also getting recognized by the fans there as well.
Readers of "The Guardian," using their average player ratings for each EPL match, have chosen the
American international as their "best player so far this term".
1. A fantastic result for Ghana and (sorry American readers) the tournament. Maintaining an African
interest into the quarter-finals is a big bonus for the World Cup. 2. Good to see Ghana conceding a
penalty instead of winning one for once. 3. Bob Bradley might have got a couple of selection
decisions wrong, but I don't think [.
Congratulations to German NT captain (for now, anyway), and Bavaria Munich player Phillip Lahm. He
married his girlfriend Claudia today in a two-part ceremony near Munich. Apparently, the tears were
flowing during the civil ceremony, but it's not clear whether they were from the bride, groom or
Lahmy fangirls across Germany and beyond.

We'd like to get one thing straight. The untrained among you might imagine that images like
those above and here would put us off Mr David Beckham, his brand of uber hot being founded in the
kind of perfectly groomed metrosexual majesty ideal for shilling product and contributing to the
languid daydreams of millions.

As a bonus, we've thrown in this Boca GIFmeg:
This photo has Germany in a bit of a bother, being seen as politicians using sports as a tool
for their agendas while also serving to highlight the current hot button immigration issue.
But half the reports seemed to indicate those in those locker room were in some scandalous state
of undress, prime among them Mesut Ozil.
It's quite plain for all to see that quotes on a page can't possibly do Ray Hudson justice, so a
good soul has done us the favor and translated Ray's ebullience to YouTube form. It's mostly the
goals, with a bit of lipsticks and handbags spliced in, but nothing gets Ray's pants whirring like
a Tazmanian devil quite like Barcelona goals.
Last week, many of us were speculating on the side-eye situation going down between Steven
Gerrard and his wife Alex in the stands at Anfield.
Thank goodness for OK! Magazine because they've got the answer, straight from Alex's weekly
column:
Steven was injured so we both sat in the box together.

The level of gorgeous in the Carrick household has just gone up a notch.
As was first reported by World of MUFC, Michael Carrick's wife, Lisa, gave birth to 8lb 8oz baby
boy Jacey last Friday.
Though we've yet to see the bundle of snuggles, we're just going with the odds that this baby is

Hats. An easy, functional, one step solution if you've been too drunk and/or lazy to wash your
hair. We've all been there.
But a little known bonus fact is that hats are also capable of elevating an individual's hotness
quotient by up to 30%**.
Whether Robinho (above) and Mario Gomez (left) have brought out their headgear in order to
conceal an outbreak of ‘party' hair or simply want to avail themselves of a cute boost, we
neither know nor care.
Liverpool are confident that a money row between Maxi Rodriguez and Atletico Madrid will not derail
the Argentine's £1.2 million move to Anfield.
Manager Rafa Benitez has agreed a fee with the Spanish club and Rodriguez has accepted the terms of
an 18-month contract.
But the 29-year-old midfielder's arrival has been put in doubt by a stand-off with Atletico.
This week from the tipster, I'm announcing my new website I Am The Tipster.
If you check it out you will see that it's a sports betting website with tips,
information and guides on a large variation of sports. It is written by myself and with the help of
a few others we aim to a helpful service which is fun and will hopefully help punters make a
profit.
Oh the Italians. They helped everyone ease into last weekend and now Fabio Cannavaro is making
Monday more manageable. Plus, only he can make a suit and trainers look good.
Bonus: He took his shirt off two weeks ago. Soz for holding this hostage.

After last night's damp squib you know tonight will be awesome, whatever happens. How can it not
be? Mourinho, Guardiola, Messi, Xavi, Zlatan, Sneijder (set to start despite injury doubts), Eto'o
etc etc. And that's just the attacking talent.
It is perhaps a bit unfair to call this a style off since there is a clear winner and a clear
loser here. Danielle Lloyd and Elen Rivas both attended the SHE Inspiring Women Awards at
Claridge's Hotel in London on Wednesday.
Danielle wore a lovely red Isabella Oliver maternity dress. Elen wore a life-sized doll
outfit.
With Clint Dempsey set to make history later this afternoon in the Europa League final, we thought
it would be a great opportunity to give away an awesome prize. Since Deuce is known for his
ridiculous antics after scoring a goal, we want you to tell us your favorite Dempsey post-goal
celebration in the comment section below.
Jack Rodwell has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, however,
after signing a new 5 year deal with Everton it looks as though Sir Alex Ferguson will be made to
wait if he wants to sign the Southport born teenager.
Rodwell has obviously been told he won't get much playing time at United so is keen to keep
developing at Everton, although the player concedes it's an honour to be linked with us.
Jonny Evans is living the dream at Manchester United, putting in great performances for his
boyhood club when called upon and recently signing a new contract which will keep him at the club
until he's at least 26-years-old.
"The contract was a great bonus and I was delighted to sign," said Evans.
Remember our Which World Cup Team Wants it the Most? post from earlier this week? Well it may
need rewriting. Because news broke recently that the US national team is being offered a reported
$20.6m should they win the World Cup in South Africa. Split 23 ways that's $895,131 each. Quite the
persuasive little prize pot.

Dunga's Brazil showed their true World Cup winning potential with this strong performance
against Ivory Coast. A brace from Luis Fabiano, one with more than a hint of handball, and a well
worked goal from Elano helped the South Americans to a second successive victory. Didier Drogba
scored a consolation late one before Kaka was sent off for no apparent reason.
The club is to officially unveil this season's away shirt tomorrow. However, photos of the kit
have apparently already leaked.
CFCnet has pointed to a Japanese retail site already selling the shirt. EPL Talk provided a
better look.
Without further ado, Here it is. Thoughts?
Perhaps a homage to this legendary shirt from the mid-90s?

PSV have told Liverpool that they have no intention of allowing their £10-million-rated striker
Ola Toivonen to move to Anfield before the transfer window slams shut next
week.
Liverpool's Head of Footballing Development, Kenny Dalglish, travelled to watch
Toivonen (as well as his teammate, Mexican left-back Carlos Salcido) play for PSV against AZ
Alkmaar on Sunday, but the Dutch club's sporting director, Marcel Brands, has
waived off any speculation surrounding the duo joining Roy Hodgson's side, telling
fotballskanalen.
On this week's List of the Week, I thought I'd bring you something simple and that can be found
in multiple places, but still is asked about all of the time. Specifically, I'm talking about a
list of winners of the UEFA Champions League. I have two lists, actually. First is a list of the
clubs that have won the championship.
The problem: loads of extremely talented midfielders all vying for a limited amount of
positions.
There's not too many ways available to keep all of them happy, let's be frank. During a single
game, at most, there'll be five midfield positions available and just four on some occasions. It's
hard to squeeze so many good players into that formation, especially when there's some that you
simply shouldn't be leaving out.
Last night we won 3-0 at home to extend out unbeaten regular season run to 14 games.

The team is looking really good with strength and depth throughout. It is such a bonus to make a
substitution and put a player on who is equally as good.
I usually sub a player immediately after he receives a yellow card.
The 2022 World Cup bid process is turning into an arms race between two parties with deep
pockets and deeper ambitions, so clearly the winner of that World Cup will be anyone who attends.
Anything done on the pitch is just a bonus.

What you can't see in this video is the tail tucked firmly between Wayne's pale, ginger legs.
Neither can you see Fergie just off camera, weighing up a baseball bat in his hand and chewing gum
furiously.
And yet, despite Rooney's ill-judged behaviour, I can't help but warm to him in this
interview.
Since Sunday is Halloween and since I haven't done a soccer video post in a while, I figured I'd do
my best to combine soccer & Halloween for a post, here's what I got for you:

Samir Nasri's nicknames, preposterous and premature, were heaped upon him not just because he
possesses raw talent and vision, but because he shares a basic story with Zidane: Algerian

Qatar Foundation, una organización sin fines de lucro dependiente del estado

Just as Carlo Ancelotti yesterday spoke of Carlos Tevez and the "reported interest" in him from
Chelsea by saying:
"There are a lot of rumours but I think that everything will be okay with him and
Manchester City because he is a fantastic player. He is very important to City and I don't think
they can afford to let him go.
Who was the best signing of summer 2009? With price tags like 80m for Cristiano Ronaldo, 50-odd
million for Kaka, 35m for Benzema and of course, 40m + Eto'o for Ibrahimovic, it becomes difficult
to measure the effectiveness of a transfer just in terms of the team's performances. Ronaldo does
far more for Real Madrid than score goals, and buying Ibra gave Barcelona the bonus of getting rid
of Eto'o.
So our players went into this game after the first half of what has been the worst season in
AEK's history. Few fans were expecting such a win and such a pleasing performance from our boys.
But, they pulled it off (whether the 150,000 Euro bonus they were promised helped at all I dont
know) and we have begun the new decade with a fantastic win!
