Whether it was injuries, being out of form or something else, DaMarcus Beasley had a hard time
getting minutes at the club level in recent years.
Those days are long gone, with Beasley's latest performance serving as the latest piece of
evidence that Beasley is back.

Manchester City vs Everton from the Etihad Stadium, Manchester
City's fast start to this season has cooled a little with Roberto Mancini's men dropping two points
away at Fulham last weekend, and it was especially disappointing being 2-0 up and letting a two
goal lead slip.
Word on the street - and by street I mean Twitter - is that Danny Welbeck is going to return to
training next week following his hamstring injury. In the meantime, Javier Hernandez is going to
start against Bolton Wanderers, at Bolton, and to me looks a good fantasy bet. He's only 10 in the
Yahoo! game, and I assume that he'll keep his starting place even if Welbeck recovers quickly.

Stuart Holden's road to recovery is officially complete.
Having been sidelined since March with a devastating knee injury, Holden played in his first
official match of the season for Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday. The U.S. men's national team
midfielder started and went the distance in Bolton's 2-0 triumph over Aston Villa in the third
round of the Carling Cup, a promising return for a player looking to get back to the form that had
many considering him one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

In a move which will no doubt have taunted the Elland Road faithful, Sir Alex Ferguson moved
striker Dimitar Berabtov back into a central defensive role (alongside Michael Carrick, no less)
for the final stages of United's comfortable victory over Leeds United on Tuesday evening.

One of the great dribbling demons of the last 20 years, Augustine Azuka "Jay-Jay" Okocha made
his name in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt before cultivating his legendary status at
Fenerbahce, PSG, Bolton Wanderers , Qatar SC and finally, none other than Hull City.
It is highly likely that the media focus on this game will centre upon Gary Cahill. No doubt he
is a good player (though he was crap against MU) but the interest has little to do with his playing
ability and more to do with the conflict between the clubs off pitch. Should we be surprised that
Gartside decided to go public with the transfer negotiation and made a prat of himself?

Arsenal 3-0 Bolton Wanderers Premier League September 24 2011
Gunners captain Robin van Persie made it a century of goals for Arsenal as Arsene Wenger's
under-pressure charges produced a decent enough performance to beat Bolton 3-0 at the Emirates.

If there is one image that defines the revival that Arsenal are about to embark on, it's this
one:
There were many positives to take from our dispatching of Bolton Wanderers on Saturday but, for
me, this was the one that really counted.
Robin van Persie, mobbed by a herd of Bolton spongiforms, didn't give an inch.
Throughout the summer one name kept cropping up when the words transfer and Arsenal were mentioned
in the same breath. That name was Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill. The transfer window may be
closed, but the speculation does not stop and it looks like Cahill will be moving to London in
January after all.
Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is comfortably settling in at the club and he
attributes much of the smooth transition to the supporters who have packed Old Trafford for each of
the club's matches this season.
De Gea endured a difficult start to his Premier League career when he was criticized for errors
during United's Community Shield win at Wembley as well as their 2-1 win at West Brom.
Liverpool striker David N'Gog has completed his deadline day move to Bolton.
The French striker, who joined the club from Paris Saint Germain in 2008, has failed to live up to
expectations and following the signings of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez in January, has found his
first team opportunities limited.
August's best goal revealed
Jordan Henderson's superb effort against Bolton Wanderers was voted Liverpool's best goal during
August in a poll of fans on this website.

Sell Luka Modric to Chelsea and give me the funds to spend on new players, Tottenham Hotspur
manager Harry Redknapp muttered under his breath a fortnight ago. A move which could have secured
the signings of multiple long-term targets and inevitably defined our forthcoming season.
Spurs have retained a midfielder with undoubted quality, but no matter how hard Modric tries to
forget about his dream move to Chelsea, he wouldn't be human if he wasn't feeling some bitterness
toward a club he will be playing for each Saturday in front of a leaky defence.
New Bolton Wanderers signing David Ngog believes he can be an instant
success
France international has spoken of his excitement over moving to the Reebok Stadium and thinks
he can help his team reach new heights this year

It's been a while since we've seen a U.S. men's national team player play in Serie A, but that
looks to change this weekend.
Michael Bradley is set to make his debut Chievo Verona debut on Sunday when the club takes on
recently-promoted Novara.
Bolton defender Gary Cahill has opened the door to a move to Arsenal in January by stating that
his dream remains to play European football. Arsene Wenger was in for the stopper throughout the
summer but the clubs couldn't agree a fee.
But there is every chance AW will be back in for the England player and it seems he is ready to
leave the Reebok and possibly join the Gunners.

Stoke City 1-0 Liverpool: Walters penalty ends Reds' unbeaten run
Liverpool's unbeaten start to the 2011-12 season was ended at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday
afternoon, as they were beaten 1-0 by Stoke City. The only goal of an exciting Premier League
contest arrived in the 21st minute, as Jonathan Walters thundered home a penalty to give Tony
Pulis' side the victory.

Bolton Wanderers have offered Chilean teenager Stefano Magnasco a trial at the club, with the
Universidad Catolica right-back set to arrive in England on Monday.
Two Manchester team, Manchester United and Manchester City, continues their fine form in the
early part of this new season as both once again picked convincing victories, with their star
players, Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero each getting hattrick this weekend, adding the similarities
the two clubs already had.

Bolton Wanderers 0-5 Manchester United Premier League September 10 2011
The Red Devils continued where they left off against Arsenal, this time banging in five goals
against a rather forlorn looking Bolton side. Despite losing Tom Cleverley early on, courtesy of a
good old-fashioned, firm but fair, British challenge (ie a thuggish assault) by Trotters captain
Kevin Davies, United demolished Owen Coyle's flimsy side.

If Oguchi Onyewu is hoping to earn his first call-up under new U.S. men's national team head
coach Jurgen Klinsmann in the near future, he took one step closer towards achieving that this
weekend.
Onyewu made his official Sporting Lisbon debut on Saturday, starting and going the distance in
the club's 3-2 victory over Pacos de Ferreira.
Ton-up Congratulations, Kevin Davies. Your crunching tackle on Tom Cleverley was not just
remarkable for its clumsy excess it represented something much more historic and lamentable your
100th yellow card in the Premier League. Being the tackling lovechild of Alan Shearer and Paul
Scholes, the world has always assumed Big Kev has been [.
