"Get in there my son, what a fackin' laaaaaad!"
He may we be having a fairly decent (though largely unheralded) season, but Bolton striker Ivan
Klasnic is staring down the barrel of a D.I.V.O.R.C.E after his wife flew in from Germany and made
a surprise to his flat in Manchester only to discover a wardrobe full of other women's clothes
and make-up, along with several 'compromising' photographs.

Fulham put the disappointment of that last-gasp exit from the Europa League in midweek to
register a deserved win against a directionless Bolton side at Craven Cottage.
With the January transfer window opening up in just a few days, we look ahead at some of the
players most likely to be changing clubs in the January sales.
1. Carlos Tevez, Man City. Hopefully Tevez will finally leave and join AC Milan, with the
transfer saga dragging on for a long time already.
Or so the BBC's Gossip Column would have you believe!

Chelsea have finally confirmed the status of their veteran French bomber, Nicolas Anelka, after
revealing at the club's official site that they have agreed in selling the striker to Chinese
outfit, Shanghai Shenhua.
Despite confirming Anelka's departure in the upcoming January transfer window, the Blues
apparently didn't revealed any more financial details which both clubs being agreed upon, although
rumors claimed that Shanghai is offering wages around 175,000 a week for Anelka.
Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou's imminent January departure for the African Cup of Nations,
along with the sale of Nicolas Anelka to Chinese Super League Club Shanghai Shenhua has left
manager André Villas-Boas facing a possibly head-scratching dilemma.
The loss of these three household names could force goal-shy Fernando Torres back in to the
equation at Stamford Bridge, a move which some would consider a risk.

Blackburn Rovers vs West Brom from Ewood Park, Blackburn
Last weekend ended up being a real kick in the teeth for Blackburn and manager Steve Kean, who were
winning 1-0 away at Sunderland up until the 84th minute when they conceded two late goals losing
2-1 in Martin O'Neill's debut at the Stadium of Light.

Having been beaten by Kilmarnock in shocking fashion last week, Carlos Bocanegra, Maurice Edu
and Alejandro Bedoya enter their match against Dunfermline Athletic with one thing in mind:
Winning.
Rangers is still four points clear of Celtic for first place in the Scottish Premier League, but
the Blues need to bounce back from last weekend's defeat.
Hard to believe, but roughly one third of this year's Premier League season has been played
already, and some clubs are starting to look over their shoulder with a nagging worry. They're
looking at their current squad and manager, and they wonder: is it enough? Will we make it?
Sunderland's Steve Bruce is this year's first managerial sacking, surely brought on by a lack of
results, but also a niggling fear of not surviving in the Premiership.
THFC1882 gives a debut to Siva who previews the Bolton game for us. Siva has
been a Spurs fan all his life and as the man puts it himself he was born with lilywhite in his

is his favourite player and he likes a drink in the Bell and Hare pre match.
Manchester City remain five points clear at the top of the Premier League, while the three big
London clubs; Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, all got important wins.
Man City have a massive Champions League match against Bayern Munich this coming week, and they
warmed up for that encounter with a 5-1 thrashing of Norwich City.

with Newcastle at home to Blackburn, while non-league Tamworth got a dream tie with Everton at

Jozy Altidore has been no stranger to scoring nice goals this season, but the one he bagged this
weekend is arguably among his best of the year.
Altidore finished off a beautiful passing sequence in AZ Alkmaar's match against Heerenveen when
he got an open look from close range after a beautiful first touch that got him by a defender.

The time for Brad Guzan to prove his worth at Aston Villa has finally come.
The American goalkeeper is slated to become the Villans' starter for the next month after scans
revealed that regular starter Shay Given has a hamstring tear. Guzan replaced Given in the first
half of Saturday's 1-0 loss to Manchester United and did not allow a goal.
Sorry for the delay in the rankings, but we are on vacation. Technically, we are not in Chile any
more, we're in Mendoza, Argentina, but we don't have any photos downloaded from Mendoza yet, so
this still is the Santiago Edition.
Being on vacation, this is going to be a very truncated ranking this week, with only the teams,
results and schedules.

Brad Friedel made waves with his comments about Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey this week, but
its his team that has been making waves in the Premier League recently. Friedel and Tottenham
Hotspur have not lost in the Premiership since the second week of the season, but they'll have to
see off tricky Stoke City this weekend if they are to continue their run of good form.
WAG Bolts The wife of Bolton striker Ivan Klasnic has revealed she is divorcing him after finding a

from the family home in Germany.

There were several noteworthy performances from the Americans Abroad contingent this weekend,
but none was better than the match put in by Oguchi Onyewu.
Onyewu was the only American to find the back of the net this past weekend, as he hit the winner
in Sporting CP's 1-0 victory over CD Nacional de Madeira.
The problem with football is that issues that would ordinarily go away of their own accord tend
to get magnified and therefore linger. Martin Jol's Fulham side have attracted more off-field press
than any other in memory, but on the pitch there are signs that things aren't all bad. Results have
not been from the top drawer, but nor have they been terrible: we're well within the bounds of
reasonableness.
Story featured today in The Sun
It's been confirmed that Nicolas Anelka has signed for
Shanghei Shenhua on a reported £6m a
year contract for two years. The club released an official statement on the
Chelsea website
here saying:
Chelsea Football Club and Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua have agreed terms for the
permanent transfer of Nicolas Anelka in the January transfer window.
Solér Speaks, FinallySince the New York Red Bulls were knocked out of the MLS playoffs by
the Los Angeles Galaxy back in November, almost all of the news coming out of Harrison has been
about players departing. First a large chunk of the reserve team was let go, then the club cut
loose a group of veterans that included Chris Albright, Bouna Coundoul and Carlos Mendes in the
re-entry draft.
New York Red Bulls sporting director Eric Soler may have said Tim Ream is not for sale, but that
hasn't stopped Bolton Wanderers from continuing to admit interest in the American center back.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle spoke about Ream on Thursday, admitting that the club is still keen
on acquiring him during the winter transfer window.

Zak Whitbread is on the brink of doing something that he's only done once this season: Start
consecutive games.
A week after returning to Norwich City's lineup in a surprise victory over Newcastle, Whitbread
appears set to start for the Canaries when they play Tim Howard and Everton.
Don't be misled, people. Despite Marco Borriello's innovative approach to legwear, Roma's Christmas
party was not fancy dress. Luckily, other players performed marginally better in the fash stakes,
as you can see here. Image via tumblr.
The party spirit has certainly overwhelmed Marco Borriello in this photo, and we must confess to
spending a little too much time practicing for our own 'do this week, too.
With the FA Cup third round just around the corner, let's take a look at how the cup was won last
season.
Arsenal and Manchester City were given scares by Championship sides on their way to the fourth
round. The Gunners needed a late penalty to earn a replay at Elland Road, while City were taken to
a replay by Leicester City.
The absence of the top five or six clubs from much of the schedule for yesterday's Premier
League fixtures may have meant that the eyes of many may have drifted towards the bottom of the
table instead. As has been the case for the previous couple of seasons, the bottom half of the
Premier League table is starting to look rather congested, with just six points separating the team
in tenth place in the table from the relegation places.

A week after enduring one of his worst performances of the season, Clint Dempsey responded in a
big way.
Dempsey lifted Fulham to victory over Bolton Wanderes on Saturday, scoring a goal and assisting
on another in the 2-0 affair. Dempsey found the back of the net with a well-placed header before
sending Costa Rican teammate Bryan Ruiz in on goal with a nifty pass.
