Trading one of the best clubs in the world? That's what the papers think one of the world's best
could do in the near future, but I'm not sure if your sentiments will be the same in regards to the
speculation in the spotlight in today's roundup of transfer news and rumors. England Yesterday, I

Ah January, January, January... It's a cold, wet and basically horrible month, but we do get
treated to a bit of transfer action and I'm going to have a brief look at the early completed ones
and rumours too see who's doing the best business. Probably best to start with the 'big
boys'. One thing that [.
It's starting to get down to crunch time for sides looking to add the necessary reinforcements to
their squads with races for titles, European places, and survival in mind. Of course, every signing
this month isn't just about 'the now,' so make sure you watch this space daily so that you can say
you [.
Today's transfer roundup isn't light on the latest news and rumors about who definitely will be
headed to new clubs and who could be in the near (or distant) future. England Manchester City have
opened the bidding for Newcastle keeper Shay Given, tabling an offer of £8m for the Irishman.
(Daily Mail) Analysis: Newcastle might [.
With action on the pitch dominating the sports pages today, there's not a lot of transfer news and
rumors to report on, but we still have a few tidbits for you to tide you over until tomorrow..
England Tottenham have offered Darren Bent plus £6m to Sunderland for striker Kenwyne Jones.
(Daily Mail) Analysis: Is [.
The clock is tick-tick-ticking, and the end of the January transfer window is one day closer. If
you haven't signed that top target by now, you need to get a move on, because just like the month
has flown by, Monday evening will be here before you know it. With the futures of [...]
As you could expect, the transfer gossip pages are being dominated by Manchester City's potential
big, big, big money move for AC Milan star Kaka. But while that's the headline of headlines right
now, there's plenty else to report on the transfers news and rumors front. England Manchester City
are really serious about this [.

The beauty of the Premier League is that there are always three distinct races within the table,
and after 23 rounds of this Premier League season, none of those races are decided. In the race for
first place, only two points separate top-of-the-table Manchester United from Liverpool and
Chelsea, while Aston Villa is only three points [.
We're into the final stretch of the January transfer window, and while signings have been
relatively light up to this point, we'll be seeing a lot more confirmed deals (and probably just as
much speculation) over the next few days. England You can't go that long in any transfer window
these days without a Cristiano [.
According to Tribal Football:
Johann Smith is currently on trial with Croatian club NK Rijeka.
The Toronto FC midfielder joined the club in August 2008 from Bolton. Smith is unhappy with his
base salary of $36,000 and is looking for a return to Europe.
During his time at Bolton, Smith spent time on loan with Carlisle, Darlington and
Stockport.
Bolton could have a World Cup winner on their side.
Although this January's transfer window has been relatively quiet, it appears movement is on the
horizon. The latest report indicates that Gary Megson and Bolton are ready to meet Fulham's
valuation of midfielder Jimmy Bullard. Bullard, who has perhaps been Fulham's best player so far,
has only 18 months remaining on his contract.
EPL side Arsenal isn't the only British outfit keen to raid Zenit Saint Petersburg. Bolton
Wanderers' manager Gary Megson signed defender Sebastien
Puygrenier from Zenit earlier this month. And the defender played his first match for the
club against Manchester United on Saturday.
Former Bolton fans' favourite El Hadji Diouf has been linked with a return to The Reebok after
revealing he could be on the move in January. Diouf has failed to become a first-team regular at
Sunderland after leaving the Trotters in the summer for £2.6million and Gary Megson has
allegedly been alerted to his availability.
Former Brazil winger, Denílson, is a possible target for England's Bolton Wanderers ...

Cristiano Ronaldo was named Fifa's world player of the year last night and the nippy winger voiced
his confidence over his Manchester United side successfully defending their Premier League crown.
The Portuguese playmaker has said: "In the Premier League we are in a good position and while
we respect our opponents I believe we are going [.
The title race between Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea may be what everyone is talking
about but the pressure at the top doesn't compare with what those at the bottom of the table are
going through. I can't remember the Premier League ever being as close as it is this season in
terms of the bottom [.
Quite a few interesting moves taking place in the Premier League today, Newcastle have completed
the signing of Kevin Nolan from Bolton for around £4 million on a 4 and a half year deal. I
think this is an excellent buy for Newcastle I really rate Nolan and can't understand why he hasn't
been featuring [.

Manchester United v Chelsea (Sunday 11 am, Fox Soccer Channel. Replays: Sunday 11 pm, Monday 1 pm,

third once Manchester [.
PGL: Morning Insiders. We get to forget about all the transfer window bull today and get back to
the football. Kolo comes back into the side alongside Djourou, and Denilson makes a come back. I'm
thought RVP would once again wear the armband but Kolo takes it for todays game. This week I've got
back [.
