On Sunday Manchester United will walk into the Stamford Bridge pitch in unusual fashion. They
will be the underdogs.
By all accounts, Chelsea simply look the stronger side. After trashing Bolton Wanderers 4-0 last
weekend and earning a 2-2 Champions League draw against Atletico Madrid, Chelsea's in-form striker
Didier Drogba will be looking to punish a Manchester United defense that will be without Rio
Ferdinand.

Twice a year, Phil Gartside lays bare his most inner fears. Bolton Wanderers may some day be
relegated from the Premier League, and Phil doesn't like the idea of that. He is scared that they
will relegated and that they won't be prepared for life back in the Footbal League. He's right to
be.

Just when Rafa Benitez thought things couldn't get any worse, a study published by Foster's
today reveals the Liverpool manager is officially one of the most worried managers in the
Premiership.
The leading Aussie beer brand analysed the interviews and statements from every Premiership
manager since the beginning of the season using its Ozometer, an algorithm developed specifically
to analyse language and word sequences to determine how worried or carefree a person is.

So this is probably the earliest I've ever done a match report (3 whole days in advance) and so
I can't link you to the BBC statistics report. You'll just have to go find it yourself, it'll be on
this page probably by Saturday. Like I said a little earlier, I'm going over to England and won't
have internet until I get back (I'm staying at my grandmother's house and she doesn't allow any
technology made after 1972 in), so don't expect any new posts from me until Tuesday at the earliest
(there there love, don't pine, you can always go through my archives or go read some of my posts on
England World Cup Blog if you miss me too much).

hasn't stopped Bolton gaffer Gary Megson adding Andy Carroll [.

As I mentioned earlier, my father was at the Chelsea game this past Saturday. I had him
write my a little guest blog, and as promised here it is.
I arrived at the Reebok in gentle late afternoon sunshine. No, that's not a joke. In fact, you can
tell that the stadium was not built with sunshine in mind, since for the first half an hour or so I
was there, it was shining directly into my eyes (at first I was so surprised by the unaccustomed
glow I thought Wigan must be on fire – no such luck, however), making it hard to concentrate on
the cheerleaders.

Tonight with a win,
Man United could qualify for the next stage of the
Champions
League. United could be without five first team regulars. Dimitar Berbatov, Nemanja Vidic, Rio
Ferdinand and Ryan Giggs are all struggling with injuries. Wayne Rooney may also be absent due to
his wife giving birth to their first child yesterday.

As a Manchester United fan Saturday's 2-0 win over Blackburn represented much more than just
three points. Not only did Dimitar Berbatov score yet another sensational goal, but young French
winger Gabriel Obertan made his Premier League debut. Obertan impressed midweek in the Carling Cup
against Barnsley, but seeing him against Premiership opposition just meant that much more.

Welcome to November. A week of domestic competition is behind us. This week clubs go back to work
in the Champions- and Europa Leagues (as well as the Copa Sudamericana but those clubs do not
figure in the Top 25 at this point). Here's where they stand ahead of a crucial week in those
competitions:

For the record, the photo accompanying this article is from Thursday's Boca Juniors match with
Chacarita Juniors at the Bombonera. It had no effect on the rankings, but I wanted to post a photo
of my own to the entry.
For the first time in over a month, a club remained at the top spot of the rankings for
consecutive weeks as Chelsea solidified its position at the top with a pair of 4-0 victories over
Bolton Wanderers this week.

It has been dawning on me slowly but surely that supporting Bolton is like being in an abusive
relationship. Every weekend they hurt me and then I go through several stages. First I'm angry with
them, I question our relationship and whether it's worth it. Then I begin to start qualifying and
saying to myself "Well, it wasn't too bad," I convince myself they'll change.

In these still early stages of the season a few new additions to the Premier League have looked
like excellent additions to the league and indeed their respective clubs. The English game may have

First, and most importantly, there is some sad news for the Wanderers World. Our dear Jussi is
retiring from his international career. His Finnish team failed to make South Africa 2010, and
Jaaskelainen announced his retirement earlier today. He was first capped in 1998, and has earned 55
since. Jussi, pure class as ever, came out with this statement:
"I have considered this decision long and hard, and I believe that it is now the right time to
give younger Finnish goalkeepers the chance to play on the international stage.

I haven't been able to find highlights but I did find a video of all four goals. The emotionally
unstable amongst us may not want to watch it as it's pretty depressing. As my father said the only
positive thing to take away from that match is the fact that we can't do any worse on Saturday. Now
I must say I didn't really expect a win, I don't think any Wanderer did, but 4-0?
