According to The Bolton News, Manchester City have emerged as the favorites to
sign Bolton defender Gary Cahill, who has been linked with
Arsenal.
It is reported that Man City were willing to offer Nedum Onuoha,
Dedryck Boyata, Craig Bellamy, or Shaun
Wright-Phillips in their offer.
According to Marc Iles at The Bolton News, Bolton are planning to make a move
for Middlesbrough defender Rhys Williams this summer. It is
reported that Boro want £3million for the 22-year-old. However the signing of Williams may depend
on if Bolton sells Gary Cahill and what they receive in return.
According to Bolton's official website, 23-year-old Bolton goalkeeper
Adam Bogdan has signed a new deal with the club that will keep him there until the
summer of 2014.
According to Bolton's official website, Bolton midfielder Mark
Davies has signed a contract extension with the club that will keep him there until the
summer of 2015. Davies said,
"I'm really pleased to have signed a new contract ... The football club has been good to me
since I moved here two years ago and I'm really settled in the area.

signed Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge on loan for the rest of
the season.
January 31st, 2011: According to Matt Lewis at the Fulham Chronicle, Chelsea
striker Daniel Sturridge is prepared to join Bolton on loan for
the rest of the season if Chelsea is able to complete the signing of Liverpool
striker Fernando Torres.
According to Sky Sports News, Bolton boss Owen Coyle admitted
that he hasn't talked to any other manager about selling defender Gary Cahill.
Coyle said,
"I have had no dialogue with any manager about Gary Cahill ... The best time for players of that
quality to move is in the summer, when they can bed in with a top club.
According to John Cross at MirrorFootball, Arsenal manager Arsene
Wenger may be forced to make a move in the transfer market due to injuries to his
defenders. Defender Sebastian Squillaci hurt his hamstring in yesterdays match
against Leeds United and Thomas Vermaelen supposedly had a setback in his return
from injury.
UPDATE: According to Bolton's official website, Bolton have
completed the signing of Middlesbrough midfielder David Wheater
for an undisclosed fee. Wheater signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the club.

begun talks again with Middlesbrough for David Wheater.

still looking to sign Carlos Vela on loan. Manager Owen Coyle
