"Get in there my son, what a fackin' laaaaaad!"
He may we be having a fairly decent (though largely unheralded) season, but Bolton striker Ivan
Klasnic is staring down the barrel of a D.I.V.O.R.C.E after his wife flew in from Germany and made
a surprise to his flat in Manchester only to discover a wardrobe full of other women's clothes
and make-up, along with several 'compromising' photographs.
Things just keep getting better for Clint Dempsey, and keep getting worse for Bolton.
The Cottagers posted a 2-0 victory on the Trotters to keep Bolton buried at the bottom of the
English Premier League standings. Clint Dempsey opened the scoring with his team-leading fifth goal
of the season to push Fulham to 11th in the Premier League standings.
It appears that two transfers are almost completed even before the January transfer window opens
in the English Premiership. We already know that Everton are signing Landon Donovan for a couple of
months and know it seems that Thierry Henry is moving to Arsenal, temporarily, and Gary Cahill is
set to move from Bolton to Chelsea for a fee between £7 and £8 million.

Newcastle Reserves drew 1-1 with Bolton at Whitley Park this afternoon, in a behind closed doors
game. Haris Vuckic in action this afternoon But it did give Mike Williamson some playing time and

Bottom of the Premier League with just nine points from 15 games and things don't get any better
for Owen Coyle.
Gary Cahill is expected to leave for greater things this January with Arsenal, Chelsea and
Tottenham rumoured to be after the England international's services. And as Cahill loosk to be
leaving Coyle is left with a big hole to fill in his defence and his squad.
It's the time of year for awful cracker gags, so here are twenty footballers from the Premier
League that wouldn't look out of place at Christmas. As you can see, 'tis also the season for
barrel scraping: 1. Frank-incense Lampard (Chelsea) 2. Roque Santa Cruz (Man City) 3. David Eggnog
(Bolton) 4. Rory Delapland (Stoke) [.
The recent strong run by the Gunners has created this impression that they are a hard lot to
beat. I am among the many Gooners who have noted and commented on the doggedness of this Arsenal
squad. With that in mind, I thought it would be interesting to see if some numbers back the new
found resolve that is being widely perceived and how other top teams stacked up when compared to
Arsenal.

It was billed as a match in which the losing manager would get fired, and if that is the case
then it will be a much happier Christmas in the Coyle household this season than the Kean one as
Bolton beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 in a relegation six pointer.
The result means Blackburn replace Bolton at the foot of the Premier League, and Rovers will be
bottom at Christmas with only one team avoiding relegation from that position.
Why Chelsea may be a Bridge too far for Cahill
Gary Cahill is set to go to Chelsea in January. But I'm not sure if he will be able to cope at
the highest level in the Champions League and at a top-four team. Just look at
Yakubu's goal for Blackburn against Bolton the other night to see proof of that.
Why Bolton's troubles run deeper than Owen Coyle's management
Owen Coyle is facing major problems at Bolton – and if they go down it could put the whole
club's future in doubt. Why on earth is no-one talking about Bolton's £110million debt? People
watched Portsmouth unravel and they're fighting for their very existence.
Let us not forget it's Chanukah, yo. Like any proper showcase, we've saved the juiciest morsel for
last. Fair warning, though, it is conditional.Remember how Teal Bunbury had a Bolton visit at least
temporarily nixed because of his Olympic camp call-up? Well, he wasn't the only one in Florida last
week with scuttled plans.
For the first time since Steven Taylor went off injured late in the game against Chelsea on
December 3rd, Newcastle were able to play two regular center backs. A very happy Alan Pardew at
the final whistle this afternoon And manager Alan Pardew pointed out how important that was today
at Bolton, as Newcastle went to the Reebok Stadium and got all 3 points with a 2-0 win.
Newcastle put in the disciplined performance Alan Pardew wanted, and the lads got their just
rewards at Bolton with a fine 2-0 win yesterday. Alan Pardew with Ben Arfa at end of the game
yesterday And Alan Pardew was a delighted and relieved man after the game, as he had seen his team
end their [.
Cheick Tiote has no plans at all to be leaving Newcastle United any time soon, and certainly not
next month. Cheick Tiote in action at Bolton on Monday Of course a year ago we heard the very
same thing from Andy Carroll, but when Liverpool came in with a silly offer of 35M, he was on his
way to Merseyside [.
Bolton sit just the wrong side of the relegation line and their fans are really not up for this
game. After reading almost 20 pages of various Bolton forums, I couldn't find one fan who was
seriously suggesting they could actually win this game.
The have some very thin striking options after Sturridge and Elmander left at the end of last
season, compounded by some defensive injuries and suspensions forcing them into playing Zat Knight.

Brad Friedel and Tottenham hope to continue their strong league play when they host Bolton, while
Clint Dempsey and Fulham host Liverpool on Monday at Craven Cottage.
The name of Jan Vertonghen was mentioned on here a few weeks ago but it seemed at the time that
Spurs' real target was Bolton's Gary Cahill. However, stories emerging from Holland are adamant
that Tottenham have agreed a £10m fee for the Belgian international and that the deal will be
rubber stamped when the transfer window opens next month.
Hard to believe, but roughly one third of this year's Premier League season has been played
already, and some clubs are starting to look over their shoulder with a nagging worry. They're
looking at their current squad and manager, and they wonder: is it enough? Will we make it?
Sunderland's Steve Bruce is this year's first managerial sacking, surely brought on by a lack of
results, but also a niggling fear of not surviving in the Premiership.
The main question this weekend appears to be whether Rafael van der Vaart will return to the
starting line up and reclaim his regular place behind the main striker.
According to manager Harry Redknapp, VDV is fit once again to challenge for his slot but there
is a doubt over Sandro who has picked up a groin problem.
THFC1882 gives a debut to Siva who previews the Bolton game for us. Siva has
been a Spurs fan all his life and as the man puts it himself he was born with lilywhite in his
vains! The first game Siva remembers was when he was 5 or 6, Ledley King (or Mr Spurs for Siva)
is his favourite player and he likes a drink in the Bell and Hare pre match.

Aloha and good morning. Just a quick one from me. What to say about Bolton? Not a great deal if
I can help it. In his comparatively short turn at t'Reebok, Owen Coyle's managerial stock has
fallen somewhat rapidly. From the Glaswegian Wenger to Sue Barker in the time it takes to polish
and glue in those unfeasibly white teeth.

Manchester City remain five points clear at the top of the Premier League, while the three big
London clubs; Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, all got important wins.
Man City have a massive Champions League match against Bayern Munich this coming week, and they
warmed up for that encounter with a 5-1 thrashing of Norwich City.
Tottenham kept up the chase for the Premier League title with a comprehensive 3-0 win over
Bolton who werte unfortunite to have been reduced to 10 men with Gary Cahill wrongly sent off with
a straight red card when a yelloow was sufficient.
Bale, Lennon and Defoe all score as Spurs roll over Bolton on their way to their to a club record
6th straight EPL win. Bolton didn't help matters as Cahill was red carded early.Video:

Some Pub lunch! No idea who the guy in the middle is,but the one on the far right is Greg Meyer.
Greg tucks in at A Kent Pub with a fork in one hand and a lap-top in the other to celebrate
both the anniversary of the birth of General George Custer who died at the Battle of the Little
Bighorn as well as yet another famous Spurs victory over Bolton at White Hart Lane.
In a match in which Spurs enjoyed 80% possession, we once again ran out comfortable winners and
extended our unbeaten streak to 11 and our winning to six, the latter being a new premier league
record for us. This saw us in a temporary 2nd place and following a weekend where all our rivals
won as well, it was all about keeping the pace and we finish the weekend in third.
