Happy 2011, Kickettes! We sincerely hope you had a wonderful break filled with pudding and
presents.
We also hope you spent your New Year celebrations with someone you love/lust/like, and that the
alcohol poisoning only required an overnight hospital stay.
We can't think of a better way to welcome a new start than with this fascinating short tent
scenario from the Liverpool/Bolton game.
Gameweek 24 with it double matches went very well, my tips for fantasy premier league performed
admirably, and that's always nice. I even hit the 100 points mark I was after with 113 points.
But it's again time for another gameweek, and let's see if I can succeed as well this week as the
previous.
This Fernando Torres goal vs Blackpool in January 2011 gave Liverpool the lead against the
Tangerines, but the Reds eventually slumped to a 2-1 defeat. This goal was also the first Liverpool
goal under Kenny Dalglish in the Premiership. Blackpool vs Liverpool- Bloomfield Road- January
2011. There was a hint of the Torres of the [.
What a strike! As impressive as intricate goals are, it's always nice to see players just rip a
shot. Chelsea's Didier Drogba did just that in the match versus Bolton, taking a shot from some
33.5 yards out, launching the ball at an impressive 63.4 mph. Props to Sky Sports for the accurate
stats. Check [.

Rovers at Ewood Park.
The Premier League overhaul of youth development is a needed response to the UEFA Financial Fair
Play imposition and new EPL rule that all clubs must have a minimum of eight home grown squad
members and has the full backing of me and all of my power over English football.
These new rules, which come into effect in the next couple of years, force clubs to invest heavily
in developing youth talent.

Grossly disappointing. I'm actually kind of pissed off, not just with the way we conceded
another late leveler against Aston Villa, either. That's the same Aston Villa who have done fuck
all over the past month or so (kind of like us).
We apologise for missing the last three or four rounds of predictions while celebrating
the Christmas/ New Year's break, but now were back to guess wrong yet again!
Ronaldinho to Blackburn?... surly not!
TUESDAY
Blackpool v Birmingham Blackpool continue to defy expectations, free-scoring
beyond their quota - with ideas above their station.
After joining the likes of Serie A and La Liga, putting our feet up in front
of the telly and enjoying the mid-winter break, Footy Factor is back and looking forward
to another scintillating year of footy. Up next, who will be the first Premiership manager
in the New Year to get the chop?
Joe Cole came off the bench to snatch a last-gasp winner as Liverpool got 2011...
Bolton manager Owen Coyle can feel aggrievedafter seen his side robbed of a
share of the points at Anfield yesterday with Joe Cole scoring in stoppage time to give Liverpool a
2-1 win, while Kop boss Roy Hodgson believes Liverpool can charge up the table
after this lucky, lucky win.
Paul Konchesky is determined to win Liverpool fans over after admitting how difficult it is to
shrug off the criticism in the city.
Roy Hodgson signed the left-back over the summer for a substantial fee from former club Fulham, but
the player has failed to live up to the hefty price-tag, and has come under fire from sections of
the Anfield faithful for sub-standard displays, which resulted in the home fans cheering his
departure from the pitch in the defeat to Wolves.
Kickoff from Ewood Park at 20:00 GMT and 3:00 EST.

Liverpool:
Team sheet when it's released.
A short while back I bumped into an interview given by Cesc Fabregas just before the Man City
game. I'm not sure if others have shared this or not or if people have already seen it on TV or
some other site. Since the youtube views count was only 1455, which seems quite low for such an
interview, I thought it's worth sharing.
Diouf's is up to his usual antics again. If he's not strutting the streets of Manchester
pretending to be 50 cent, then he's on the football pitch pretending to be a good
footballer...
"For many years I have thought he was the gutter type I was going to call him a sewer rat but that
might be insulting to sewer rats.
Liverpool's out of favour midfielder Joe Cole will remain at Anfield despite links with a loan move
to former club West Ham, Goal.com UK can reveal.
Cole has struggled to find form following his free transfer from Chelsea in the summer and is yet
to feature under new Reds boss Kenny Dalglish.
The Hammers board have backed manager Avram Grant after Martin O'Neill rejected the chance to take
the manager's job at Upton Park.
De-ja-vu? One name just won't go away and that is the name of Bolton's wanted centre-back Gary
Cahill. There are claims today that Bolton have told Arsenal to make a bid for the defender this
month to ease their well documented financial problems. I don't actually believe these reports but
they are worth writing about just to [.
With the Bolton/Chelsea match to be played starting in a couple hours and some random mid-week
matches as well, the week isn't exactly over but Monday is traditionally the day we look back at
the weekend's action and who am I to get in the way of these sorts of traditions? Especially when I
had a 144 point weekend from my fantasy team with a bunch of guys (Walker hopefully, Nani, Adam,
Meireles,
Now before you read the rest of this post I would like you to turn your attention to my match
preview I wrote yesterday. Please read the whole post first, you can find it here. I said that
Chelsea needed to play well at a high tempo and needed the big players to step up and make an
impact. Chelsea did everything I asked of them and every single one of our front three got on the
score sheet.
Chelsea's big win against Bolton Wanderers last Monday give a much more valid prove that the
Blues are finally getting back into their old self, with the striking department start to click
their engine once again the other part of the team looked more secured.
However, aside from applauding the improvement that his squad are making, the club's tactician,
Carlo Ancelotti, still plan to add the defensive reinforcement he has been planning since the
winter and the tactician confirmed that David Luiz is their new target.
Stuart Holden and Bolton shirked their defensive responsibilities and paid the price at home when
Champions Chelsea came to town.
Here is the latest Fernando Torres transfer news as the striker prepares for a possible shock
switch from Merseyside to Stamford Bridge in the 2011 winter transfer window. There is a lot
awaited on the Torres transfer news front as the window closes on January 31, 2011 ( Monday) at
23.00 GMT. January 28, 2011- [.

Liverpool 2 Bolton 1 - K.Davies 43 Torres 49 Cole 90+2 Liverpool get a win, barely. Whilst
deserving the win in terms of chances made, failure to convert those chances and poor defending

As the Liverpool players were booed off the pitch on Wednesday night after a woeful display
against Wolves resulting in defeat, it was the name of "Dalglish" that resounded from the stands,
a cry for help from the Anfield idol.
Today the players take to the pitch once more against Bolton, the King having spoken, the
clubs current ambassador and head of football development asking for unity within the club.

Improved tactics and hard work lead to the right result. It's the first time this season that
Liverpool have gone behind in a league match and went on to win.
Joe Cole's bundled-home goal in the 92nd minute wins it for Liverpool.
In a season as frustrating as this, days like today are too seductive.
You enter with low expectations, pissed off at the manager and the club, just waiting for the
next thing to go wrong. Then things do go wrong one of the better players through a dismal patch
gets hurt, and the fatigued captain comes on to fill a role in which he's had little success.
LIVERPOOL, England Joe Cole may have earned under-pressure Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson some
breathing space with a last gasp winner against Bolton at Anfield. With the club's owners
reportedly seeking a replacement, the summer signing's first league goal and Fernando Torres'
equaliser came at just the right time for the former Fulham boss.
Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez scored to keep Manchester United at the top of the Barclays
Premier League on goal difference with a 2-1 win at West Brom. Rooney opened the scoring when he
headed in Patrice Evra's cross on three minutes but James Morrison equalised with a long-range
shot.
Maybe 2011 will be better.Joe Cole scored the winner against Bolton in the dying seconds of the
game.
This afternoon Chelsea take on Aston Villa knowing that United, Arsenal, City and Spurs have all
won their games yesterday. The pressure is mounting once again and Chelsea need to come out and
show us all they have turned a corner. They do it without Branislav Ivanovic and John Obi Mikel.
Well we closed out 2010 on a high. This has been our best year as a blog and our fantasy premier
league is also doing fantastic with new members still signing up each week. All of the matches
for December finished in midweek and Manchester United are still on top of the league with their
City rivals right behind them.
