the transfer window opens. (Daily Mail) ...And Spurs manager Juande Ramos is set to plunge the
future of his current crop of strikers in doubt when he bids to buy Sevilla striker Alexander
Kerzhakov. (Times) Derby's Paul Jewell is after [.
Liverpool could halt their plans for their brand spanking new £700m Stanley Park stadium because
of the ‘funding for it has been hit by the volatile credit markets' – Liverpool fans shouldn't
start warbling in despair just yet though – have a look at the source – which slightly
diminished the reliability of this story.
A host of transfer rumours for Saturday... Tottenham's Pascal Chimbonda is being stalked by both
Manchester City and Newcastle who are eager to snap him up in the January transfer frenzy. (Daily
Mirror) If Big Sam gets booted into touch as Newcastle manager then ex-Spurs gaffer Martin Jol is
ready to bring his avuncular ogre-like features [.
Part one of today's blizzard of transfer rumours... Aston Villa, Bolton, and Newcastle are set for
a January transfer scuffle over Sporting Braga's Peruvian defender Alberto Rodriguez. The 22
year-old is nicknamed 'El Mudo' (The Mute), but his £5.8million transfer fee could mean that
Newcastle will have to drop out of the race for his signature.
The second half of our big batch of Sunday transfer rumours... Liverpool's interest in Czech
Republic defender Tomas Ujfalusi has abrubtly stopped after he rebuffed a £500,00 move to join
Rafa's men...for now... (Observer) Manchester City's Sven Goran Eriksson is planning to splash his
vast amounts of cash and swoop for Arsenal's Lassana Diarra, Athletic Bilbao's Andoni [.
The first part of our joyous Christmas transfer rumours bundle... Arsene Wenger quite fancies a bit
of Tottenham's Dimitar Berbatov, and isn't afraid to mount an audacious bid. Wenger said that
Berbatov's performance in the weekend's North London derby was excellent, and apparently this means
he'll fight tooth and nail to gobble him up in January.
Fear not football obsessives, the transfer portal will open up very soon! Jurgen Klinsmann, a man
apparently much admired by Gillett and Hicks, could replace Rafa Benitez at Liverpool this summer.
Meanwhile Rafa is asking for a contract extension... (The Sun) Arsenal ‘keeper Jens Lehmann is so
enraged when he watches Manuel Almunia play in HIS [.
Sportingo's Mark Apostolou gives us his daily take on the murky puddle that are football transfer
rumours. It's all go in the transfer news gossip and rumour mill – Crouch heads Rafa's Anfield
clearout; Defoe, Berbatov and Bent up for grabs; N'Zogbia wanted by Wenger while Manchester City
Everton, Fulham, Bolton, Aston Villa, and [.
Arsene Wenger is keen to bring Barnsley keeper Heinz Muller to Arsenal. The cost? A very Arsene
Wenger-like £1m. This move would also pave the way for Teutonic gaffe-lord Jens Lehmann to move
back to Borussia Dortmund. (Various) ...And there is "no chance" of a Cesc Fabregas move to Real
Madrid according to Cesc's agent.
A yuletide pick and mix bag of transfer tales, as well as some mulled whine from Didier Drogba and
Nic Anelka... Sir Alex Ferguson is set for a huge January transfer splurge, the Man Utd boss will
offer footballing ne'er-do-wells Wes Brown and Louis Saha as well as £6m in cash for Spurs [...]
The ever-popular Three Things series has expanded to include matchday action. Some people saw this
match in all its live glory, others on the telly, and some not at all. Either way everyone probably
saw it differently and here's your chance to tell each other what you learned. So forget the
numpteys at Sky Sports or [.
Today's first batch of rumours is a heady brew of potent guff and noxious waffle. Bundesliga's
Wolfsburg are ready and waiting to bag Jens Lehmann and rid Arsenal of the German's interminable
moans.(Mirror) ...Whilse bovine teammate Philippe Senderos won't have to face a cull until next
summer, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will delay sending the Swiss defender [.
Scenario 1 Robbie Keane was sent off for a clumsy tackle that warranted a yellow.
Keane is a mouthy sod, always in the ear of any ref, but he is not a dirty player. (Watch the
incident here) Scenario 2 El Hadji Diouf was shown a yellow – which he
protested against, like the spit-happy muppet that he is – for an X-rated tackle on Alvaro
Arbeloa that deserved a straight red.
Everyone saw the Premiership matches they cared about, and it's a rather lengthy process trudging
through the match reports of every club that matters little to you - especially if you're still
carrying the shameful stench of defeat. So instead, after every round of matches here's the chance
for everyone to share the three things they [.
Harrods fat cat Mohammed Al Fayed wants Jurgen Klinsmann to take over at Fulham. (Sunday Express)
Rafa Benitez is set to but Fiorentina's Tomas Ujfalusi , the defender will set Liverpool back a
modest half a million pounds. (News of the World) ..In slightly more glamorous Liverpool news, Rafa
is set to finally get revenge [.
It's prediction time for the last set of Premier League fixtures for 2007, and I am aiming to make
my predictions as transparently clear as Crystal Gravy. Saturday, 29 December 2007 West Ham 1-3
Manchester United - Carlitos' return to Upton Park should yield a strong away win for Man Utd, with
the Red Devils firing on [.
Reina
Arbeloa Carragher Hyypia Riise
Benayoun Lucas Gerrard Kewell
Torres Crouch
Goals:
Hyypia 17'
Torres 45'
Gerrard 56' (pen)
Babel 85'
I'd like to thank the media, and possibly the owners (we still haven't heard the full story) for
catalyzing the team, staff, and fans.
Saturday, 08 December 2007 Barclays Premier League Aston Villa 1-2 Portsmouth: I'm going for an
away win here - Aston Villa have been superb recently, especially at home - but Portsmouth are
red-hot, and in an outrageous Arsenal-esque run of form. Chelsea 1-0 Sunderland: Mourinho is
apparently in town nattering with the FA about the England job and [.
A ninth straight home win for city in an entertaining game which saw the blues lose a lead and then
come from behind to keep the fantastic home record intact and move back into 4th place.
City drew first blood through the impressive Rolando Bianchi, who gave the best performance from a
centre forward for city season.
When will Didier Drogba return to action? Nobody seems to have a clue and it's not boding well for
the Ivory Coast if Drogba's comments to The Sun are to be believed. The striker went under the
knife nearly two weeks ago to have a knee operation and has hardly filled Chelsea fans or Ivorians
[...]
A literal explosion of transfer rumours... Tottenham boss Juande Ramos today cut through all the
transfer chuntering and Jimmy Hill-style chin wagging about Berbatov like a sizzling machete
through a warm tub of margarine. The Sun reports that Ramos has categorically denied that Berby
will be moving to Man Utd in January.
Ginger Mourinho Gary Megson is coming to terms with the fact that both El Hadji Diouf AND Nicolas
Anelka could leave Bolton in January. Apparently Portsmouth are sniffing around El Hadji Diouf.
(Daily Mirror) ...And Megson is after Sheffield Utd's ‘no-nonsense' centre-back Chris Morgan, but
the hard man is set to snub a move to the [.
This was the side that beat Man U last weekend? Well, not really. They had Kevin Nolan and our own
Danny Guthrie, two crucial pieces to the defensive stalwart that puzzled and trumped the Rooney and
Ronaldo-less side, but still, Nani and Anderson alone were probably bought for more than the entire
Bolton squad.
Before I get to my ratings for yesterday's match, I want to share a couple of more thoughts about
and concerning it. First off, does everybody share Paul Tomkins latest sentiment that the media for
the most part is not giving our side the proper credit by rubbishing our recent opponents? I'm not
so sure and I don't really care.
In the past two seasons, Bolton have beaten Arsenal on three occasions. During season 2005/6, Sam
Allardyce steered the Wanderers to a 2-0 league success and a 1-0 FA Cup win over the Gunners. Last
year, it was more of the same, with the Trotters storming to a 3-1 win in November. It was clear

A bulging set of transfer rumours from Sportingo. Jose Mourinho cancelled a trip to London - which
he says was for Christmas shopping - because he did not want to encourage rumours about the England
vacancy (various). Yes Jose, on the front, back and middle of every paper in the country is exactly
what you [.

It looks like moan king and superb striker Didier Drogba is to be replaced by another marginally
less superb moany striker, namely Nic Anelka. Sun journo Andrew Dillon reports that: "Moody French
striker Anelka has a verbal agreement with Bolton that he can join a top-four club in next month's
transfer window.
Chelsea has signed 18 year-old Argentine forward Franco Matias di Santo from Chilean first division
side Audax Italiano and is eying Blackburn's Benni McCarthy and Bolton's Nicolas Anelka as further
reinforcements for its depleted front line. Di Santo will move to Stamford Bridge for GBP3.4
million when the transfer window opens next month, according to Sky [.
Bolton advanced to the UEFA Cup elimination round without taking the pitch yesterday, as Bayern
Munich saw off Greek side Aris Thessaloniki to assure Trotters passage out of the group stage. An
Aris win or tie against the Bavarians would have knocked Gary Megson's side out of the tournament,
but Bayern put the Greeks to [.
Nicolas Anelka's brace against Birmingham on Saturday continues to fuel the rumours that the French
striker will be joining Chelsea in the January transfer window. According to The Observer, a
Stamford Bridge source has stated that failure to sign the former Arsenal and Real Madrid forward
as a replacement for Didier Drogba will effectively end [.
Jeff Winter today criticized Bolton attacker El Hadj Diouf for his tackle on Liverpool's Alvaro
Arbeloa, which was just short of criminal assault, but only got Diouf a yellow card. Winter claims
that Diouf's tackle was something that even Joey Barton would shudder at - Winter said: "Anyone who
has ever played football knows that [.
Watch Portsmouth live online Watch Manchester City live online Last week Ed got an improved 7/10
results correct, this week he aims to get back on track and trot out the usual mindless drivel..
Saturday, 15 December 2007 Barclays Premier League Birmingham 1-1 Reading - Reading will be up for
this and I like Ingimarsson and Bikey but Birmingham should [.
14/12/2007 - Eastlands - 3pm
In a reversal of the last couple of years it is City who sit in the top six and welcome a
struggling Bolton side only just coming to terms with the loss of Fat Bastard Allardyce. Ginger
Bulemic Gary Megson is carrying on the tradition of 'the beautiful game' at the reebok.
An interesting weekend of football that has seen Manchester United and Arsenal blast away from
Chelsea and Liverpool, and witnessed Manchester City usurp the Liverpudlians for fourth place.
Elsewhere, Tottenham got an amazing away win at Portsmouth, Everton beat West Ham (again) and Wigan
managed to blast five past Blackburn.
You can be fairly certain that Lubomir Michalik doesn't form part of Bolton manager Gary Megson's
long-term plans. The Slovakian has been a less-than-able deputy for Andy O'Brien in the heart of
the Wanderers defence recently, featuring in a 4-0 defeat at Anfield before scoring an own goal in
another defeat on Saturday - this [.
The Sun reckons that Man City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is ready to hijack Chelsea's move for Nic
Anelka. Quite how a less rich, less successful club will contrive to hijack a proposed move to a
richer and more successful club, is beyond us - but then we aren't a footballing genius like Sven

The loons at Uefa contrived to conjure the most obscenely complicated Uefa Cup draw - deciding not
only to pick the combatants for the next round, but to then pick the quarter final draw - probably
because this tournament is still packed with so many teams and the Uefa brussel sprout munching
bigwigs want to [.
Saturday, 22 December 2007 Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham - I think that Arsenal at home, against their old
enemies, should be good for three points, but Tottenham have had two glorious results of late with
victories at Portsmouth and Man City, two of the toughest cauldrons to get even a point from, let
alone three - so [.
Everton's glorious run of wins came to an abrupt halt against Man Utd but they started up again
with a 2-0 win today over northern bruisers Bolton. Goals came courtesy of a Phil Neville cross
that found its way into the back of the net with Tim Cahill smashing in the second. Everton boss
David [...]
