Evening all.

Apologies for not finishing my preview post/s. However considering the game is on Sunday I thought delaying it was a reasonable thing to do. Besides fatigue has got the better of me completely today. It is a strange feeling when one minute there is enough energy within me to challenge Usain Bolt to a race, but the next minute it feels as if challenging Michael Essien in a sleep marathon contest was more appropriate.

Hope you were able to catch some of the World Cup qualifiers last night. We're thrilled that England has shaken off the ghosts of Euro 2008 by booking themselves a place in the WC 2010 with a win against Croatia, 5-1.

Carlton Cole celebrated with a night out at Whisky Mist in London, where he partied with Usain Bolt (no word on if they also compared biceps) and David Beckham quickly returned to jet-set mode, heading back to Los Angeles.

Ahhhh, revenge is tasty. Canada opens the 2009 Gold Cup with a 1-0 win over Jamaica. The CONCACAF goal scoring machine Ali Gerba was the man who inflicted the damage at the 75th minute after being beautifully set up by Mike Klukowski.
