Bologna have narrowed down left back options to four players: Antonio Bocchetti (28,
Frosinone), Davide Brivio (21, Vicenza), Andrea Giallombardo (28, Ascoli) and
Luciano Zauri (31, Sampdoria).

The winter transfer market is here, and unlike years past, this may actually be an interesting
one. There have already been some moves made, but we are just getting started and there should be
plenty of rumors swirling around in the coming days and weeks. Here's a team by team guide of what
you can expect each club will spend this month (if anything at all).
After 4 months in charge, Antonio Conte's first stint as a Serie A manager is already over. This
morning the former Juventus and Italy midfielder handed in his resignation after a string of poor
results, loads of protests from fans, and sitting second from bottom of the table with only 13
points.
According to ESPN Soccernet, Bologna want Manchester United
striker Federico Macheda on loan although his agent feels that a deal is unlikely.
His agent Giovanni Bia told Tuttomercatoweb,
"Bologna have asked for him but we have to evaluate thing with Manchester United .
Udinese in crisi profonda, in Serie A, ma non tutto è perduto. Il tempo per risalire in classifica
e conquistare risultati decisamente migliori c'è tutto, ma serve, però, una decisa inversione di
rotta. Per far ciò, la compagine friulana si affida alla determinazione e alla voglia di gol e di
calcio del rientrante Totò Di Natale.

Juventus fell further into the abyss after their 3-0 home loss to Milan yesterday, and more than
ever fans were calling for Ciro Ferrara's head. The former Juve defender hasn't had a great first
season as Juve boss, with the string of bad results and the Champions League elimination, and now
the Juve directors are wondering whether it's time to make a change.
Manchester United striker Federico Macheda is being linked with a host of clubs who want to sign
him on a loan deal. Serie A side Bologna has emerged to be the top contender to sign the Italian
striker but Spanish clubs are also chasing Kiko. Federico Macheda came to prominence at the end of
last season, after scoring a last minute winner against Aston Villa.
There were 24 goals scored this weekend in Serie A, with Inter-Siena being the highest scoring
match (4-3). Antonio Di Natale returned with a goal, a fantastic free kick, to continue to lead the
goal scoring charts with 12 goals. However Diego Milito also scored and he continues to chase the
Udinese captain with 11 goals.

Chievo, since being promoted to Serie A in 2001, had never beaten Juventus in their history. In
fact, in 15 encounters vs. the Bianconeri, the Flying Donkeys had lost 12 times and drawn 3. Last

Yes, that is Marco Materazzi wearing a Silvio Berlusconi mask after Inter had defeated Milan 2-0
in the derby Sunday night. Even myself, a Milan fan, has to admit that is pretty hilarious. Inter
showed all their strength in the latest edition of Derby della Madonnina, even playing better than
their crosstown rivals in 10 men.
There were 27 goals scored this weekend in Serie A, with only two games finishing in a draw
(Siena-Cagliari 1-1 and Lazio-Chievo 1-1). Antonio Di Natale and Diego Milito are still fighting it
out at the top of the scoring chart, each with 13 goals and each scoring this weekend. Right behind
them there is a group of players stuck on 10 goals: Alessandro Matri, Giampaolo Pazzini, Francesco
Totti, and Paulo Barreto.
On May 5th, 2002, most Inter fans were doing the same exact thing Ronaldo is doing in the
picture. Inter had thought that they had finally gotten it right. They would finally win their
first Scudetto since 1989. But it wasn't to be, and May 5th, 2002 is a day Inter fans do not like
to remember.
