After FC BARCELONA put a "spanner in the works" to up the REALMADRID offer of 43M€ plus its
player NEGREDO to VALENCIA CF,which was informally closed, with the inclusion of a 40M€
cashfigure with the loan of defender Martin Caceres in the operation,we now see news from English
paper "The Mirror" that addsexcitement to the whole issue.
Well hello there.
I see you've caught me preparing for the upcoming season. In my short-shorts. But before we get
to the smooth-legged sexiness going on below my belt line, first allow me to introduce my personal
trainer Fake Bojan. And now that we're all intimately acquainted and hopefully soon to be even more
intimately acquainted ha-HA!
Can't move forward with your life until you know what some of the Barcelona FC boys have been up
to this summer? Let us help.
We know Gerard Pique got his Vegas on at the Palms; Samuel Eto'o has been in Miami, Florida with
his wife/children; and baby Bojan has been bike riding in Linyola, Spain.
The players on Barca generally seem to have strange or out of the ordinary interests - Victor
Valdes plays the piano; Bojan is a math genius as well as a movie lover (note: he lists Titanic as
one of his favorites); Henry and Pique are both basketball fans, Dani Alves and Ibrahimovic are
equally mad about the Formula 1 with Ibra also having a passion for martial arts.

Arsene Wenger is reportedly after young Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic.
Tonight, Barcelona travels to Valencia to play a tough away game against a team who has won
their last 5 games including a 3-1 victory against Sevilla. Valencia are currently in 4th place and
trail Sevilla by only two points. A win tomorrow could put Valencia into 3rd at least until Sevilla
plays Real Madrid on Sunday.
Barcelona have yet to make a decision about where the young striker Bojan Krkic will be next term,
however, Celtic have added their name to the list of admirers. Celtic have joined the race to take
Bojan Krkic on loan for a season if the starlet is told he should leave Barcelona in the summer to
[...
So the Barca jugadores and Pep boarded the World's Coolest Bus at the
moment (and it definitely ain't this one) as it paraded on the streets of Barcelona. Each player
was introduced to the crowd that had welcomed them at the Nou Camp and as expected,
Messi received the loudest reception.
Ok, the latest rumours that is doing the rounds in Barca circles are the possible move of Bojan to
Arsenal in the January window. Arsenal has been plagued by injury problems for their attacking
line-up and Wenger is rumoured to be looking to add Bojan to his squad as a soultion. Bojan has
been having a tough time finding playing time under Guardiola as Pedro is the coach's favourite.
Chivas just keeps on keepin' on. They are six points clear of Seattle, although the Sounders
have a game in hand.
Last weeks injury list for Chivas USA read like this...

FW Alecko Eskandarian (R hamstring strain);
DF Ante Jazic (concussion);
GK Dan Kennedy (R knee sprain);
FW Ante Razov (R ankle surgery);
DF Claudio Suárez (L calf strain);

Galindo, Victorine and Braun played, in fact, Braun scored the game's only goal.
And it's Celebrations Galore today for Barcelona! The Copa Del Ray
winners literally crushed Bilbao 4-1 last night in front of their fans at the Mestella, thanks to
splendid goals from Toure, Messi, Bobojan and Xavi. In case you didn't catch the
game, there are extensive highlights below and of course, the fotos.
FC Barcelona - 4, Bilbao - 1
FC Barcelona ended their two year droght of silverware with an emphatic win against Athletic Bilbao
at the Mestalla. Yesterday's triump also ends a eleven year wait for the "Copa Del Rey" title. The
last time FC Barcelona won the cup Guardiola was a team member and it might be destiny that this
has to be his first title as FC Barcelona coach.
So, we're pretty intrigued by two recent transfer rumors. Well, one is intriguing, the other is
just ridiculous.
Firstly, let's take a look at AC Milan for a moment. Around 2007-ish they were a simply lovely
team, complete with stars and all; but as said stars got older and slower, what did Milan ever do
about it but sign more veterans while hanging onto the ones they already had?
Barca continues to party as the entire team gathered for their treble celebration dinner at the
Grand Hotel La Florida. Bojan was the first to arrive on the scene, followed shortly by Vic, Puyol,
Yaya and Titi. The rest of the team came soon after, and Samu was the very last one to make his
appearance.

Head coach Pep Guardiola and his team arrived in London today in preparation for their match
Friday against Tottenham in the first of two matches at Wembley. 17 players from the first squad
and 11 from the youth academy and reserve team made the trip. The biggest surprise for fans coming
out to see Barcelona play in London will be Lionel Messi.

FC Barcelona's victory today was historic for the team and manager Pep Guardiola. The victory in
Monaco this evening means that FC Barcelona have won all five tournaments possible in 2009 (Spanish
Cup, La Liga, Champions League and the Supercup of both Spain and Europe).

On Saturday Barcelona continue their race for the La Liga title when they travel to Madrid to
take on 14th place Getage. The team will arrive on gameday in order to remain near home as long as
possible to rest up for the busy week ahead.
Coach Pep Guardiola announced today the team that will travel to take on Getafe.
FC Barcelona will be looking to continue their good run with a victory at Mestalla. Valencia is
surely in great form and will be difficult to beat. But Barca players know that a defeat at tonight
will make life worse in all friends. A defeat here will raise doubts of our chances in Europe and
will give new lease of life to Real Madrid.
The moment draws ever closer... just about twenty four hours separate us from the kickoff of this
match of matches, the final of finals, Roma 2009... Barca heads out to face Manchester United, the
team that has been, along with Barcelona of course, the best in Europe this season. We're nervous,
excited, jittery, anxious, totally psyched and near to a panic attack waiting for this one.
According to a report in the British tabloid The Daily Mail, Primera Division giants Barcelona are
readying an offer for Liverpool's Javier Mascherano.
It is claimed the combative midfielder has decided to leave the Merseyside outfit because his wife
is keen to leave England having failed to settle.
Remember if you have any questions for the players or coaches, post here before halftime and I will
do what I can.

PRE-GAME:
-If you are wondering why (or even how) Bobby Burling and Cesar Zamora are on the game day roster,
you would be correct that "normally" they could not play in games since both are on the Disabled
List.
First match of the new season for FC BARCELONA away at themythical (new)Wembley Stadium against
TOTTENHAM HOTSPURSin the "Wembley Cup" tournament that includes two other teamswhich are Al-Ahly &
Celtic Glasgow. The result was a 1-1 drawwith goals from BOJAN in the 31st min who put Barça ahead
&the equalizer from LIVERMORE in the 83rd min for Tottenham.
We all know what this match was, right? The return of Lionel Messi! He's finally got his groove
back after shuffling through two half-matches, and was his amazing self again against the Sounders.
Leo took full charge of the attack, putting so much effort – maybe a bit too much for just a
friendly – and it paid off, as he netted two spectacular goals in the forty-five minutes he
played.

FC Barcelona took the field Saturday night in San Francisco, CA with black armbands in honor of
Espanyol captain Daniel Jarque. It was obvious that the shocking news of the players death in Italy
due to a heart attack had a dramatic effect on the players as they took the pitch.
Gallery, Images, Photos and Pictures of FC Barcelona v Seattle Sounders, Pre-Season Friendly Match,
August 2009. Includes Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sergio Busquets and Bojan
Krkic.
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic has already made history in his little time wearing the Blaugrana shirt: He
has become the first player ever in the history of the club to score in the first four Liga
matches.
But this achievement comes along with some sad news: Zlatan's out with an ankle injury after last
night's match, ironically enouh at the hands - or rather feet - of Barca loan-out Henrique.
Zlatan will miss Barca's first meeting with the Russian Champions.
Barcelona vs FK Rubin Kazan:
Tuesday's forecast a massacre for Rubin Kazan. The Russians showed resiliency and quality
against Internazionale but that was on their own turf. Barcelona is near unbeatable in their
impregnable fortress of Camp Nou.
Barca pick up where they left off in the Champions League, meeting Russian club Rubin Kazan at home
in the final match of the group stages first leg. We'll be looking not just for a win that will
keep Barca at the top of their CL group, but also for a clean sheet that will maintain the team's
current form of not having conceded a single CL goal this season, something only three other teams
have accomplished so far.
Bojan and Pique were the ultimate royal couple at Barca last season, but we've all seen how they've
drifted apart since the season ended... we blame Cesc, he seduced Pique on the Spanish NT over the
Confed Cup. Baby Bo's been flying solo ever since; but check out him and Andres Iniesta together at
the Airport on the team's trip to Kazan!
For the fourth straight game 3-0 Chivas USA is dressing all 18 of the healthy players on the
club's roster, but Coach Preki makes just one change to the starting lineup, restoring right back
Mariano Trujillo to the first XI after he sat out last weekend's game against the Columbus Crew
with bruised ribs.
Joseph Guardiola has announced a 19 men squad who will travel to Getafe tomorrow. Both Jorquera and
Pinto are included in the squad as Valdes is carrying a slight knock and may not fearture in
tomorrow's encounter. Getafe is the only team in La Liga whom the Blaugrana has not yet beaten this
season.
FC Barcelona forward Thierry henry is facing a race against time to get fit for the Champions
League Final against Manchester United in Rome. Thierry Henry injured his right knee during the 6-2
thrashing of Real Madrid, he has already missed the semi-final clash against Chelsea. The club
website has confirmed that he will be missing Copa Del Rey final and the League matches against
Villareal, Mallorca and Osasuna.
Real Mallorca vs Barca Preview
FC Barcelona finally became the Champions. As Eto said last week, we didn't have to play again win
the title. Real Madrid's last night 3-2 defeat to Villareal means we will have two weeks ahead to
focus clearly on Champions League final in Rome. Manchester United, Barca's rival in Rome also
grabbed their title last night with a draw against Arsenal.
Real Mallorca - 2, Barca - 1
Guardiola decided to rest majority of first team players against Real Mallorca. The makeshift side
had three Barca B team members - Xavi Torres, Oier Olazabal and Pedro. Barca went ahead with a goal
from Eto in the tenth minute but wasted a flurry of chances to end the game, especially Eto.
In the end, the better team won. Barca were by far the superior ones who took
advantage of United's weak midfield and a lack of initiative from the likes of Anderson last night.
Although they needed time to get into the game, Barca found their pace thanks to the brilliant
Iniesta.
So much for going out of the season in style.
Really, for such a strong lineup against such a side as Deportivo, you'd think the team would at
least win this match, if not by a wide margin, after all Barca have already done this season. But
the final match ends with a draw... barely a draw, too.
