Relegation isn't nice for any club whatever level they're at. It wasn't nice for Newcastle to go
down a couple of years ago, it wasn't nice for Villarreal to go down in La Liga this year and it
can't have been nice for Darlington to be relegated 4 divisions because of financial problems.
Whatever the reason for relegation be it financial or just a poor season relegation is detrimental
to every club that experiences it.

A trademark performance from 2 months ago leaves Tottenham Hotspur right in the hunt for
Champions League football still. 2 wins down, 2 to go. Adam Nathan reflects on the match from last
night.
Let's take a vote. At 1-1 last night, was there anyone who thought that Spurs, our Spurs, with
two wins in ten miserable outings, would pick themselves up, transform into the players we all know
they can be and dismantle a spirited Bolton on a ground that we had never recorded a league
win?
If it was not for the collapse of Manchester City since the start of the year, a lot more
attention would be focused on the implosion that is taken place at White Hart Lane.
A couple of months ago Spurs were being talked up as a possible title contender. Then came the
"Harry for England" stories, and suddenly Spurs seem incapable of winning games anymore.

Bolton Wanderers Fulham Premier League 7th April 2012
Whether playing in midfield or, as he did on Saturday, up front, Clint 'Deuce' Dempsey is a
handful for any defender and against Bolton at the Reebok, the American continued his superb run of
form with two first-half goals.
szólj hozzá: Bolton vs Fulham 0:3 MOTD
Clint Dempsey's 19th and 20th goal for Fulham sent the Wanderers back to relegation angst.
The American sent in an absolute blinder of a free kick. Adam Bogdan had no chance. It was
Dempsey's 14th Premiership goal for the season, a Fulham record.
A Clint Dempsey brace and a late Mahamadou Diarra ended Bolton's mini-revival as the Trotters
blazed to a comfortable 3-0 win at the Cottage and had it not been for an heroic display from
Bolton keeper Adam Bogdan it could easily have been six or seven.
Exhibit 318 in the "this is why we don't panic when we're not 7th in November" file. Fulham,
despite a slowish run recently, demolished an in-form Bolton team on their own patch. We're an
inconsistent team, no doubt about it, but a lot of football teams are. And when we're good, we
really can be very good.

For large parts of this game, Terry Conner's Wolves side were by far the better team. Indeed,
after bossing the first half, they eventually opened the scoring on 53 minutes when Michael Kightly
produced a superb shot which curled passed Adam Bogdan in the Bolton goal.

Boosted by Tuesdays win against Bolton in the FA Cup, booking a Semi Final date against Chelsea,
Spurs go into Sundays game against newly promoted Swansea with renewed confidence.
Tottenham Hotspur found an inspired goalkeeper in their path but eventually found a way past
Bolton Wanderers to book an FA Cup semi-final meeting with London rivals Chelsea.
Bolton keeper Adam Bogdan was in stubborn mood at White Hart Lane – frustrating Spurs time and
time again before Ryan Nelsen finally broke the deadlock 16 minutes from time.
It's rare enough for a player to be touted as man of the match when he finishes on the losing
side but when the margin of defeat is as relatively comfortable as 3-1 suggests, it's arguably
unheard of.
Until yesterday's game at White Hart Lane, Adam Bogdan was really only known outside of Bolton
for being on the wrong end of a clearance by Everton keeper Tim Howard that sailed over him and
into the net.
Tottenham Hotspur are on their way to Wembley again for the FA Cup semi-Final against Chelsea
after battling past an inspired Adam Bogdan Bolton side on an emotional night at the Lane.
The night started with both sets of players warming up in T-shirts which read "Uniting for
Fabrice" on the front and "thank you for your support for Fabrice" on the back.
Yet another dominant performance from Spurs and world class performance from the opposition keeper.
But this time, despite Bogdan making 13 saves, it wasn't "one of those nights" and the pressure
proved too much and despite Bolton's best efforts to defend their way to a replay, it ended 3-1
Spurs.
The breakthrough finally came in the 75th minute as a corner (that on the night we're not hitting
the first man!
Strong minds and hearts of stone took Spurs to the semi-finals of the FA Cup and showed that we
are well set for the run-in. Although Tottenham made and missed countless chances, we were
consistently inventive and resolute in our determination to win this match. Ironically the
breakthrough goal finally came not from one of any number of scintillating moves but from a set
piece and a centre back.

An exciting clash are set to happen in this year's FA Cup semifinals as two Derby games will be
sparkling at Wembley as Tottenham Hotspurs and Everton advanced to meet Chelsea along with
Liverpool, who already qualified earlier.
Spurs went on beating Bolton 3-1 in the replay match, after the tragedy that's happened for
Fabrice Muamba, while the Toffees beat Sunderland 2-0 in the other replayed match.

Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 Bolton Wanderers FA Cup Quarter-Final 27th March 2012
On a night when the miraculous work of the medical teams of both clubs (and the emergency
services) in treating Fabrice Muamba were given the respect and applause they so deserve, the two
sides played out a decent game to find out who would face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals.
QPR last night completed the signing of exorcist Derek Acorah after defender Clint Hill revealed he
had been haunted by his ‘ghost' goal. The veteran player was denied a first Premier League goal
at the weekend after officials failed to see that his header had crossed the line in QPR's match-up
with Bolton.
Their Words "Everyone can expect a mad afternoon when you fight against relegation. I thought we

When your down at the bottom you need all the luck you can muster and it proved Bolton had it
today, firstly QPR's Clint Hill seen his header clawed back from a yard behind the goal-line by
Bolton keeper Adam Bogdan and to add insult to injury Bolton striker Ivan Klasnic grabbed the
winner in the 86th minute in this relegation six pointer.

Bolton Wanderers Queens Park Rangers Premier League 10th March 2012
A rather dismal start to this relegation clash was brought to life by a major cock-up courtesy
of the officials. With 20 minutes of the rather mediocre encounter gone, Clint Hill's header from
close-range went over the line by at least a couple of feet before Bolton 'keeper Adam Bogdan
scooped it back out.
Two weeks ago Sulley Muntari had a goal disallowed in the Milan vs Juve match when TV replays
showed Gianluigi Buffon pushing the ball out after it clearly crossed the goal line. Today, the
"ghost goal" bug hit Clint Hill of QPR after his header from a Joey Barton corner was saved by Adam
Bogdan after the ball was about 2m inside the goal line.
Another weekend, another argument for the introduction of technology to jusge definitively whether
the ball has crossed the line. Ina game that could have a significant bearing on the battle for
survival in the Premier League, QPR defender Clint Hill headed a Joey Barton corner beyond Adam
Bogdan. The goalkeeper managed to claw it up [.

Manchester City Bolton Wanderers Premier League 3rd March 2012
City started the game with Silva, Aguero and Dzeko all on the bench, but Roberto Mancini's men
still came out with all guns blazing, laying siege to Adam Bogdan's goal from the off and only
failing to score thanks to the Hungarian's netminding skills.
Is there any thing more nostalgic at the moment for us Chelsea fans than seeing Didier Drogba
thump home a Frank Lampard corner delivery? Well, maybe Frank volleying home coolly at the back
post to round off another frolic against Bolton Wanderers. Talk about a total recall.

I know for many people the word they might use to sum up this Arsenal season would be stronger,
much stronger, than 'frustrating', but that's what seems to fit for me this morning.
On Tuesday night Chelsea, our main rivals for 4th spot, dropped two points against Swansea.

What does it take for any other player other than RVP to score goals? It is now official, he's
not pretending any more - Theo Walcott has a mind made of mush in front of goal. Always. Aaron
Ramsey is another. The Ox too for all his brightness was presented with a clear chance.
1. Paul Scholes: he does, indeed, score goals. 2. Poor old Arsenal come unstuck once again when
they have to adapt their game against one of those physical south Wales teams. 3. Bolton keeper
Adam Bogdan knows that if you can keep penalties away from Wayne Rooney's magic thatch then you're

A bit late on this one but what the hell video footage of the crazy Tim Howard goal vs Bolton.
Everton went on to lose the game 2-1, so they're probably a bit sick of this goal already.
Howard went on to state that he is sympathetic towards the Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan, refusing
to celebrate it at the time as he felt it was too cruel, and felt embarrassed.

Tim Howard admirably chose not to celebrate after opening the scoring for Everton against Bolton
in specatcular, hoof-tastic fashion on Wednesday evening as a mark of respect for his opposite

long time ago' and that he knew 'it wasn't a nice place to be'.
