Well, the last two weeks have been dead slow interms of transfer gossip, either incoming or
outgoing. The only solid news we have is that JMA has come out setting a low transfer cap for the
summer, and Puel echoing that statement by setting another cap, this one in the form of the maximum
number of players that will be recruited, four at the most.
Quarter-final Wednesday, January 27, 2010
Stade du Moustoir, Lorient

Well, Sunday saw OL stumble out of the CdF. While I'm not really upset- the referee did gift
Monaco's Nene that intial penalty that led to the first goal- I am a bit
disillusioned for other reasons.
INCOMING:
HERNANES: After both JMA and Bernard Lacombe have seemingly closed the door on
the idea of Gourcuff, due to his exhorbitant release clause, focus has apparently
shifted to Sao Paolo's playmaker Hernanes, more so after Ganso,
valued at 20M€, has been heavily linked with deeper pocketed clubs in the past
few weeks.

Though JMA recently stated during Jimmy Briand's signing conference that he would hold off on
transfers until the last week of August, in order to find some bargains, the rumor mill has not
slowed down. In fact, none of Jean Mimi's promises in the transfer realm seem to holding up to
scrutiny and I love it: it doesn't seem like we'll stay under Aulas' self-imposed 25mill€ cap,
and when JMA claimed that Lyon were staying out of the French mercato after the signing of Briand,
that looks like it may also be a little white lie as well.
This week's rumors.
IN:
ADIL RAMI: Rami's the hotest rumor going around this week. After Bernard
Lacombe's first choice for CB Bruno Alves has fizzled out. OL are said to be in
direct contact with Lille for Claude Puel's prefered candidate to replace
Boumsong, Adil Rami.
