Steve Cherundolo's Hannover 96 has endured as difficult a season as one could imagine, but the
club's 3-0 victory over VfL Bochum saw it do something that seemed so unlikely just months ago. It
avoided relegation.
On the final day of the Bundesliga season, three first half goals were enough to assure Hannover
another year in Germany's top flight.

Hannover got a 6-1 win over 'Gladbach, moving them into 15th-place with a two point lead over
16th-place Nurnberg.

Die Münchner Bayern sind stark in die Rückrunde der Fußball-Bundesliga gestartet. Gestern
haben sie mit einem überragenden 3:2 bei Werder Bremen zumindest für eine Nacht die
Tabellenführung übernommen. Im Spiel gegen den alten Rivalen aus Bremen war Bayern die absolut
dominierende Mannschaft und Bremen hatte es am Ende nur der sehr schwachen Chancenauswertung zu
verdanken, dass die Niederlage nicht viel deutlicher ausfiel.

With J Hutcherson -- Though their horrible goal differential all but takes any tied on points
scenario out of the question, Steve Cherundolo and Sal Zizzo's Hannover 96 remain in position for
another season in the Bundesliga. With all team at 32 games played and two remaining in the season,
Hannover are currently 17th out of 18th with 27 points.
Bayern Munich can move a step closer to the first of a possible three trophies when they host
Bochum in the Bundesliga. They can move to within touching distance of the Bundesliga title on
Saturday, especially if Schalke fail to beat Werder Bremen.

The penultimate weekend of the Bundesliga season is upon us. Nobody has won the title yet.
Nobody has been relegated yet. There is still a Champions League spot to play for. The final Europa
League spot is still not entirely in Stuttgart's hands.
The Bayern Offside will take care of the title race by covering the match between Bayern and
Bochum and Bremen's trip to Schalke.
Things are tight in the Bundesliga relegation race heading into the final game of the season.
Steve Cherundolo and Hannover 96 face Bochum as both sides attempt to avoid relegation. Hannover
(30 pts) are ahead of Bochum (28 pts) but only a win for Cherundolo's team will guarantee survival.
Nurnberg also sit within striking distance on 28 points and their -27 goal differential is equal to
Hannover's.
