Sacha Kljestan's run of form is turning out to be anything but temporary.
Kljestan continued his strong season for Anderlecht, scoring a goal in the club's 5-3 triumph
over Lokomotiv Moscow in their UEFA Europa League battle. His curling effort to the far corner dug
Anderlecht out of an early 1-0 deficit and helped the Belgian side win its group, which should make
for a more favorable result during Friday's knockout round draw.

Fulham were dumped out of the Europa League with the very last touch of the game when Odense
slung in a deep cross and substitute Baye Djiby Fall nodded in an equaliser at the far post with
roughly four seconds left to play (the referee blew for full-time during the goal celebration),
thus robbing the Cottagers of the points they needed to edge out Wisla Krakow, who beat
table-toppers FC Twente on the night to finish second in Group K -just one point ahead of Martin
Jol's side.

A late goal from FC Twente sub Marc Janko secured a 1-0 away win for the Dutch side against
FUlham last night, a result that leaves the Londoners needing a victory from their final group game
if they are to make it to the last 32.
Fulham 1: Dempsey 85′Liverpool 0
Same old song and dance for Liverpool with a questionable sending-off and a Pepe Reina error to
spice things up, as the hosts get a late winner and the wasteful guests spend most of their
possession not finishing chances. Posts were hit, fouls weren't given, upper hand was wasted.
Crushing events as Fulham were 9 seconds away from advancing to the Europa League group stages
when Djiby Fall stepped up to score with the last kick of the game. The goal tied the game and
allowed Wisla Krakow to advance at the expense of Fulham.
It was a cruel blow for a Fulham side that started preseason training in June, so that they
could enter this tournament in the very first round.

Ep.18 Christmas Special by Off The Post on Mixcloud After injecting mince pies into our veins,
doing shots of Bucks Fizz via our retinas and recording wearing nothing but tinsel jockstraps, the
OTP Podcast is in fine, slightly chafed, festive cheer for its Christmas Special. (That unorthodox
preparation may partly explain why we sound like [.
Ah, fixture congestion. A holly, jolly Christmas indeed.
Will Bob be in the mix?
Chelsea begin this oh so very festive period by hosting Fulham at the Bridge. This represents
the first of three games over eight days, a favorable span which includes Aston Villa (h) and
Wolves (a) that could go far in spreading some holiday cheer around the place.

If you'll excuse the pun and read on...
Over a number of years, football has played with systems and tried to define formations while
the brains on the bench tell us that their players aren't confined to a sole set of instructions,
but taking a look at the Premier League this season, it's looking increasingly more like target men
are the focal point of most sides at this moment in time.
Don't normally put stock in transfer rumors, but it's a slow week and this story has legs.
Blackburn boss Steve Kean expects the green light to bid for unhappy Fulham striker Andy Johnson
on Wednesday and make him one of the first signings of the winter transfer window.
Kean is due to meet Rovers director Vineeth Rao on his return from a summit with owners Venky's
to secure the cash to carry out the £2million swoop.
