The Glendale Falcon's, 3rd place finishers in 2011, visited their second city rival in as many
days and came away with their second shutout of this young season. Following Tuesday's 4-0 win over
the Parkview Vikings, Glendale stoned the 'Poo with a 3-0 win.
It was a somewhat uninspiring game given the history of games these two squads have played.

Soccer is a cruel sport sometimes. Make no mistake about it.
Yes it was a total collapse in a way by the US U-23 team last night against El Salvador in
Nashville. Having a 3-2 lead late into extra time, with just seconds away from being able to move
on to the semifinals, the unthinkable happened as El Salvador found a way to get by keeper Sean
Johnson for the 3-3 draw.
Times a-changing? Keep up - they've already a-changed. ‘Tis now generally agreed, either
publicly or otherwise, that Tottenham are the best team in North London; the "St Tottingham's Day"
bet with my Arse-supporting chum Hawthy is fast becoming redundant; and following the weekly
toasting of our own latest bravura successes we lilywhites as a regular side-note are also able to
amuse ourselves by sniggering at the ongoing and quite spectacular implosion of that ‘orrible lot
down the road.
Chelsea lost tonight 3-1 away in Naples in a strange game that literally was end to end. After a
difficult start, Chelsea nicked an away goal after a bobble on a dodgy pitch found Juan Mata who
calmly slotted the ball past the keeper to make it 1-0.
With that you'd expect Chelsea to keep their shape try and remain solid and compact but it never
happened.
Andy Carroll's ineffectiveness adds to Liverpool frustration at Fulham | Richard

Another lumbering performance from Liverpool's £35m striker played its part in a Fulham victory
than was hardly deserved Liverpool brought the first chill blast of winter to the Cottage, and it
blew them right back home.
Gems of the Lower Leagues: Charlie Austin is a post from: Just Football
by Ally Poole
Charlie Austin has made a meteoric leap from being a bricklayer playing for
part-time Poole Town as late as September 2009 to free-scoring striker for Burnley
in the Championship.
He shoots, he scores! Or, if you happened to be Fernando Torres yesterday afternoon, you didn't.
There are several reasons why a Premier League match which had, as they say, a little bit of
everything, will most likely remembered for one moment of aberration, some connected to the
eye-watering amount of money that Chelsea played for said player, others through a sense of a
relief that it effectively ended much chance of a tight finish to a match that Manchester United
should have long since wrapped up, but most for reasons of good, old fashioned schadenfreude.

The end result was a come from behind 5-3 victory for the Union.
Sporting KC striker Teal Bunbury has struggled to find playing time and the net of late, but he
made it count last week when he scored a dramatic late-game equalizer against New England. His 89th
minute tally ensured a share of the points and kept Kansas City's 13-game unbeaten run intact.
Bunbury, always the ham, celebrated by running to the corner flag and playing "bobblehead" for the
fans.
The Blues provided another 4-0 performance in preseason, this time against Hong Kong champions
Kitchee in the Asia Cup. We will now go on to play Aston Villa in the final while Kitchee will take
on Blackburn for third place in the competition.
Chelsea dominated proceedings from the get-go with the usual problem of failing to test the
goalkeeper enough during the first half except when Benayoun broke into the Kitchee box, was
tripped and Lampard smashed home the penalty.
Last month, David Beckham took his son Romeo, who donned an Arsenal scarf, to the Emirates.
He took all three of his sons to the Manchester derby today but Romeo and Cruz were more
appropriately dressed, sporting Manchester United bobble hats. That's better.

"Down Goes Frazier! Down Goes Frazier! Down Goes Frazier!" Yet again, David beats Goliath. And it
couldn't have been sweeter.
So much for not seeing three at the back for a second-straight match.
So, pass and move football, it's been a while since we've seen you. Thirty-one passes and a goal
if you count Kuyt's final, lucky, bobble to Torres as a pass. Thirty passes and a final lucky
bobble for a goal if you don't. And sure, it was against a largely beaten opponent, but with a
little more confidence the sort of confidence built through passing moves like this against any
opponent at any time this is the sort of possession play Liverpool can hope to use to break down
even the most confident teams right from the start.
