Saturday's match against the high flying, second-year (cough, cough) Philadelphia Union really only
holds one point of interest for TFC supporters - will Aron Winter swallow his pride and field a
B-Squad in order to rest up for next week's Champions League do-or-die?
In this post game video blog I take a look back at the game in Dallas Wednesday evening that saw
Toronto FC get a well deserved point away from home in a hard fought 1-1 draw.

TFC makes some coaching moves that are are as difficult to decipher as the old Soviet Politburo
used to be. Thoughts on BDK's, Brennan's & Mariner's new jobs.

The proverbial hipster Cheshire CatAfter a long and gruelling FIFTEEN MONTHS
coaching Toronto FC's fledgling U-17 team, Newmarket's soccer royalty was gifted the job of TFC
Assistant Coach today. Yes, the hipster-hairdo'd/soul patch aficionado Jim Brennan has replaced the
bombastic Dutchman Bob de Klerk as Aron Winter's number two.
In this video blog I take a look at the concept of luck versus probability, the fact that a $2
million dollar ma was benched ahead of an ineffective rookie and I try and I ask what is more
important at this stage the V-Cup or salvaging something from this horrendous league campaign.

A month by month look back at the year that was for Toronto FC and why last season's upheaval is
finally starting to show dividends.

I ask in this post season look back of the season that was for Toronto FC, what might have been if
MLSE had not wasted most of "the hundred days" between firing Mo Johnston and hiring Aron
Winter.

TFC players apparently have the week off to rest for the remainder of the season and the crucial
Champions League game in Dallas two weeks from now. Thoughts on Aron Winter's choice.

Some interesting observations, including tidbits of news about the club, plans for the games ahead
and a look ahead to the future discussed during the TFC Supporters Town Hall held Thursday evening

On a day when Toronto FC is set to take on their Canadian rivals, the Vancouver Whitecaps. The
club has gone out and made a big splash in the transfer market. The club announced today the
signings of German World Cup midfielder Torsten Frings and former PSV Einhoven striker Danny
Koevermans as the club's newest Designated Players.
We pride ourselves on being a renaissance football blog and want to broaden the minds of our
readers. It is said "man can not live on football alone..." Well no, sandwiches help.
Either way, we are proud to bring you a new feature - "Total Cinema" - where Aron Winter and his
fellow (often Dutch) thespians re-imagine some great scenes from modern cinema.
There have been few Toronto FC press conferences that have been as momentous as last week's
introduction to Aron Winter & Co. There was the club unveiling in 2006, Dwayne De Rosario's signing
from Houston, "The Great Mo & Preki Escape" of 2010... Oh, and maybe Jacob Peterson's Amish Hip-Hop
album release.
Justin Mapp talks about how welcome he felt when he came to the Union, what he's doing in the
off season, and the team's focus on winning in 2011. "Our fans are the best in the league. They're
loud. They're supportive. They're passionate. When we start stringing wins together, these fans are
going to be the ones who deserve it.
It's official now. MLSE and TFC held a press conference today to confirm that Aron Winter, Paul
Mariner, and Bob de Klerk will be joining Toronto FC. In a nutshell, here is what our staff will
look like for the new season:
Aron Winter Head Coach & Technical Director Paul Mariner Director of Player Development Bob de Klerk - First Assistant Coach Earl Cochrane - Director of Team and Player Operations Stu Neely Head of Academy Nick Dasovic, Jim Brennan, and Danny Dichio will
all remain a part of the organization; official roles yet to be named
When MLSE VP Tom Anselmi opened today's important press conference with an admission that the
club had been "going in the wrong direction" it was hard not to point the finger squarely at the
man himself. For four years under Anselmi and MLSE's direction, TFC was allowed to flounder, mostly
at the hands of Mo Johnston, and on this site as in many other places, the ownership was rightfully
criticized.
