szólj hozzá: Howard amazing goal

Bolton's Bogdan could do little but look stunned after Tim Howard booted the ball upfield and it took a bounce that evaded him altogether. The wind carried it a good 20 yards further. Howard refused to celebrate mindful of goalkeeper union rules. The stunning goal hogged the headlines obscuring the equally stunning comeback by Bolton for an exceedingly rare win.

A friend of mine, an Arsenal supporter, sent me an e-mail about fifteen minutes after Mikel Arteta's £10m transfer to Arsenal went through. It began "Hope you're holding up OK," and ended "I feel bad that it went down like this.

Argentina has appointed Alejandro Sabella as manager of the Albiceleste. Sabella replaces Sergio Batista, who was let go earlier this week after leading Argentina to a disappointing and early exit at the Copa America it hosted earlier this month.

David Bingham's debut for the San Jose Earthquakes was quite seismic. Before his epic goal he actually thinks of throwing the ball to a player in the outfield.

He then boots the ball (physics tells you the longest trajectories by projectiles are achieved at 45 degrees to the horizontal) which bounces on the D in front of West Brom's Boaz Myhill and skips over.

Looks like the low sun is in Baggies keeper Boaz Myhill's eyes, but that's still no excuse for letting your opposite number stick one past you from the other end of the pitch especially after only three minutes...

Not a bad Quakes debut for young David Bingham, who now has a 1:1 goal-to-game ratio despite only playing for the first 45 minutes.

While we peer out onto the dark and deserted ice-rink that is a post-elimination FA Cup weekend , here is a something about West Bromwich Albion and why Roy Hodgson probably felt comfortable taking the job.

The official 25 man squad is below. What's interesting is the number of players who have been linked to Fulham which, when you factor in the players we already have from there (Gera, Greening, Kamara), does make you think.

BIRMINGHAM, England — Carlos Vela saved Roy Hodgson from defeat in his first match as West Bromwich Albion manager as the Mexican striker's last-gasp goal earned a 1-1 draw against local rivals Wolves on Sunday. Hodgson was moments away from opening his reign at the Hawthorns in the worst possible manner as Albion trailed to [.
