ARSENAL'S FANS SHOULD STAND AND ASK FOR KROENKE EXIT by MA
I have been an Arsenal fan since the first time I saw the red and white jersey raising majestically high in the sky of Highbury. My family's older generations have always been Liverpool supporters. But my heart beats for Arsenal and I am proud to be a Gunner.
"As announced earlier this year I had a meeting with the Boss and Mr. Gazidis after the season. This was a meeting about the club's future strategy and their policy. Out of my huge respect for Mr. Wenger, the players and the fans I don't want to go into any details, but unfortunately in this meeting it has again become clear to me that we in many aspects disagree on the way Arsenal FC should move forward.
Mikel Arteta has been a mainstay of Arsenal's midfield for the last two seasons, but is angry that the team keeps losing easy games and now have a fight on their hands to try and end up in the Champions League next year, which Arteta thinks is "unacceptable" for a club of Arsenal's stature.
He thinks that, especially if Arsenal fail to make the Top Four, the Board simply must use some of their massive profits to improve the Gunners squad for an assault on the title next season.
Liam Brady has given a lot to Arsenal over the years. He began his professional playing career under Bertie Mee in 1973 and played over 300 games before a transfer to Italy with Juventus. After finishing playing, he had a couple of unsuccessful managerial stints with Celtic and Brighton before returning to his spiritual home as head of Youth Development and Academy Director at Arsenal just a few months before Arsene Wenger became manager.
Okay let's say I am a bit of a cynic when it comes to Arsene Wenger or the board telling the Arsenal fans that he has more than enough money to buy "top, top" players, because no matter how many times they say it, it simply doesn't happen!
Just yesterday Wenger was asked if he had enough money to buy Radamel Falcao and match his wages, and the Frenchman replied: "We can do it (buy Falcao).
The facts about Arsenal's decline since 2006by William Patey
Well the debate goes on. Should Wenger go? should the board go?, should Arsenal buy more experienced players?, should we increase our wage restrictions?. Everyone has an opinion and as fans we all want what is best for our team and club.
Can we trust Arsenal to spend wisely, if at all? by PH
It's that time of year again get your cheque books out for your season tickets. The Arsenal stars and the executives may all be going home to their luxury mansions after the latest offerings, but how about those of us who have to choose carefully between whether to spend £1300 or thereabouts on following our team or keeping the wife and children fed and happy.
First of all, let me say I am a fan of Arsene Wenger. However, he seems to have lost his mojo in recent seasons. Imagine you could post a direct rant to Wenger here. I'm sure he won't read them...but you never know.
In defence of the great man, I will say first of all there are two scenarios.
I have watched and watched over the years and I cannot begin to comprehend how one man can stand for so much negativity over and over again.
Arsene Wenger is a great manager and will always be a great manager. I cannot say that I appreciate everything that he does, but I can certainly take the time out to understand why he does the things he does.
Wenger is our manger for as long as he wants to be by JG
The media, fan sites and phone-in radio programmes, from every caller from Arsenal's devoted fan base are all are missing two important reasons why Mr Wenger will still be at our club next year.
In a move that is probably designed to stop too much speculation about the Arsenal manager's position before it starts to build, the board at the Emirates are preparing to offer Arsene Wenger a new contract with another two years on it. This will keep the Frenchman in charge of the Gunners until 2016, 20 years after he took the reigns.
Alisher Usmanov is the second biggest shareholder in Arsenal Football club. He first joined the club by buying the almost 15 percent stake of David Dein in 2007. Six months later his company, Red and White holdings had 29 percent of the club, one percent more would have meant he had to make a formal offer to take over.
There is great debate amongst Arsenal fans concerning Mr Usmanov and his role at AFC. The main two arguments surround whether or not he should be given a seat on the board and the possible further injections of funds that Mr Usmanov may offer, allowing us once again to compete with the likes of United, Chelsea, City, Barcelona and Madrid.
The title does not refer to the fact that Arsenal have won just twice in the last nine games, but the fact that the French manager seems to be in between a rock and a hard place at the minute and whichever way he turns, he faces problems, criticism and blame.
It is understandable that some Arsenal fans are angry and frustrated this season.
After our last 3 results, a lot of Arsenal fans are rightfully livid at what is happening at the club. We are now 15 points off the top of the table. That is frankly embarrassing and at this rate, we could easily be 30 points off the top come May.
Arsenal fans have been getting more and more fed up and frustrated for years, as the lack of a trophy stretches ever onwards and we have had to stand and wave goodbye to our better players and captains year after year. It has got to the point where we dread the summer transfer window rather than anticipating what new players might come in.
Why we shouldn't criticise Wenger for our transfer window failings. by KJ
Due to our horrific start, many are starting to criticise Wenger for our terrible transfer window in the summer. This article is to dispel those rumours and actually put it straight with regards to who controls what happens during a transfer window.
Its time for change we can't continue down this road any more. By Ozzy AFC
I have watched and waited and placed my faith in the club for yet another season and yet again I have been let down and disappointed. Firstly let me explain, I am an Arsenal fan of over 35 years I have watched the club through bad times and glorious times I have cried and screamed and laughed and sang I've seen the likes of King Henry and Dennis the menace Bergkamp grace our shirts and I've also seen the likes of Stepanovs and Cygan and Jeffers make a mockery of it, I originally started supporting the club at the age of five after discovering that the only (then first division player) whith the Name "Liam" was called Liam Brady who shares the same first name as me, I was brought up in a predominantly West Ham enclave and endured huge amounts of stick from the other kids for my devout support of The Arsenal and started visiting the hallowed Highbury ground at the tender age of 13 and more recently shared a season ticket with a friend of mine who has also been a gooner for the same amount of time as me.
The Arsenal Board and the Manager are taking the fans for granted. They forget the team is only there because of the fans. They continue to charge top dollar for replica shirts, memorabilia, gate charges, meals and drinks yet they are unwilling to change a philosophy which has failed time and time again (8 years now).
What does it mean to keep hold of a top player? by FH
Many comments recently from fans of Arsenal, ex-players and even players (e.g Bacary Sagna) show anger at the fact that we, as a club, can't hold onto top players. The anger seems to be justified too – in recent seasons, we have seen the likes of Flamini, Henry, Adebayor, Toure, Nasri, Fabregas, Clichy, Song and the infamous Robin Van Persie all leave, some of them to our rivals.
