After a scoreless first half at BMO Field, Toronto FC netted twice after the break to take all three points from the Houston Dynamo.

Reds striker Joao Plata put in quite a performance after opening scoring in the 50th minute, the first goal of his MLS career.

There were signs of strength and improvement today at BMO Field. Toronto FC had a sturdy first half. Perhaps sturdy is too strong a description, let's say that sturdy is what they are building towards. Dan Gargan got the job done, but he had his moments. It was sturdy compared to the floundering we had witnessed the Saturday before.

The first photo-op of any preseason is of eager (well, mostly eager) players arriving at their club and getting ready for their annual medical. Down at BMO Field, Toronto FC's crack medical team will be putting the Reds, both old a new, through their paces to make sure they are up to scratch.
