Its Tuesday so that means it is time once again to close out another week with the weekly MLS
Power Rankings. With another short week in MLS the movement wasn't too great though a couple teams
found ways to be shifty.
I'll keep the intro brief too. Feel free to comment on these rankings below.
Paul predicts Mo is getting a contract extension. Stupid octopus.Well, the World Cup is over. The Spanish team is celebrating their victory today, driving through
Madrid throwing paella at their fans while bulls rampage through the crowd. Or so I'm led to
believe. Meanwhile, millions of sad Dutch supporters were forced to throw away their "celebration
marijuana" and buy "sadness marijuana" instead.

New! New! New! Yes, the N-word is the buzz around BMO Field as Toronto FC hosts MLS debutantes
Philadelphia Union in the club's fourth home opener.
Back in May of 2007, I took a friend of mine to see Toronto FC play the Chicago Fire at BMO Field.
Like most Torontonians at the time, my friend was only barely aware of the existence of the MLS
expansion team and looked bemused as we entered the gate and received our complimentary circular
seat cushions meant to keep our arses cozy in the cold, plastic seats.
Seriously. No outside foor or drink at BMO

Following yesterday's article about why it's no wonder that ESPN's TV viewership for MLS games
has dropped 12% this year, I planned on writing an article today about how and where you're
planning on experiencing the 2010 MLS Cup Final. I headed to ESPN's Soccernet website to double
check the kick-off time but not only couldn't I find the start time, but I was dumbfounded at how
incredibly poor ESPN's MLS coverage is online.
Toronto FC kicked its CONCACAF Champions League group stage off to a great start on Tuesday
night after registering an impressive 2-1 victory against Mexican powerhouse Cruz Azul at BMO
Field.
Martin Saric and Mista scored first-half goals for TFC, which dominated the normally strong
Mexican visitors for stretches and looked like a team intent on advancing beyond the group
stage.
Extra Time is just about to kick-off...
Poor, poor Toronto FC supporters. As if we don't have to put up with enough from our Goat-god
worshipping, panda-eating, Cochrane-promoting ownership... today we're getting it in the ear from
our MLS supporter rivals from around the continent!
Major League Soccer can start preparing for another MLS Cup final away from warm weather
environs.
The Toronto Globe & Mail is reporting that the 2010 MLS Cup will be held in Toronto on Nov.
21.
Toronto was one of four markets to be in the running for MLS Cup, along with New York,
Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
Well it looks like Toronto FC fans will finally get to see a MLS play-off game.
The Toronto Globe & Mail is reporting that the 2010 MLS Cup will be held in Toronto on Nov. 21.
This will be the first time that the MLS Cup will be played outside the United States.
The Toronto stadium is one of the best in MLS and Toronto's owners spent over $5.

"Sorry mate, you were singing off-key, you have to leave."The grass is almost finished being painted green. The chip butty batter is being mixed. The PA

Ah, another scheduling curveball. Two matches for lowly Toronto FC, another bye week for the
Columbus Crew. Are you prepared?
Toronto's slate is intriguing, not because the Reds are full of fantasy potential, but because
if the team is ever going to get going, it'd be against expansion Philadelphia at BMO Field.

Get lost Mo... you stoogeMLSE has been promoting "the best fans in MLS" for four years now. They love to bang on
about how the team's "supporters groups" make the best atmosphere in the league. They love photo
ops with perfect demographic specimens waving non-descript flags and screaming with glee.

TORONTO FC 1 - COLORADO 0
It took four years but Toronto FC has finally found a way to compensate with terrible
road form - don't lose at home... ever. BMO Field has indeed become "Fortress BMO" with TFC having
one of the best home records in the league.
Toronto FC vs. FC Dallas: 1-1 tie on Saturday at BMO Field. I couldn't catch the game this
weekend, so my thoughts are based on the hi-lights, which you can catch here, as well as the
various post-game write-ups out there, such as this one.
It looked like TFC had a lot of scoring chances in this game, going with a 4-3-3 formation with
DeRo, Santos and Barrett upfront, with de Guzman, LaBrocca and Sanyang in the midfield.

La tecnica y el toque de balón son cosas que nunca se pierden, el defensa mexicano lo

el dominio del cuadro de la Gran Manzana sobre el combinado canadiense.

In its best days... oh sometime back in 2007, you could barely hear yourself think at BMO Field.
The songs, the chants, hilarious off-colour comments... even "The Dichio Song" was loud, proud and
fun. Then something happened. That of course would be 2008, 2009 and 2010 - as presented by

Around the holiday season, television is full of long in-depth documentaries about the natural
world. You know the type - some David Attenborough wannabe hiding in the bushes while chimps smell
their hindquarters in the distance. Gripping monkey action.
Well as a post-holiday treat we bring you another hard-hitting, likely award winning, up close and
personal look at the wildlife that lives within the dangerous confines of BMO Field's terraces.
When Toronto's BMO Field opened three seasons ago with the arrival of Toronto FC, it was only a
matter of time before MLS would move its MLS Cup Final there. With that in mind, today's
announcement by Commissioner Garber was not much of a surprise. What was a surprise was that Red
Bull Arena was not selected to host neither MLS Cup nor the MLS All-Star Game (Reliant Stadium in
Houston will host).
Major League Soccer will play its championship game outside the United States for the first time in
the league's 15-year history on November 21st, when the event comes to Toronto's BMO Field,
officials announced on Tuesday.
"Toronto and the Province of Ontario have proven to be a vibrant market for top-level soccer, and
we are pleased to present the city's fans another opportunity to enjoy a marquee event and showcase
their passion," said MLS commissioner Don Garber.

"Oh my God! Someone ate Ali's 'McRib'! Look out!"Speaking of the ever elusive
McRib Sandwich, that little faux pork delicacy has had longer
visits to Toronto than Ali Gerba himself. Much like Ronald's limited time offers, Mo Johnston
pulled Gerba from the BMO Field shelf today too.

Gerba-licious!All of that hard work of one match means TFC deserves a two week break. 90 minutes work over 14
days is tough you know! It's not all rest and relaxation though. It's a chance for the kinks to be
worked out (i.e. an offence) and new signings to be brought in by Mo Johnston (i.

BMO Security was ready for any rogue streamersIn about 48 hours, BMO Field will be full of 21,000 screaming red clad supporters watching TFC's

league and is considered to be the most "international" of MLS stadiums.

There can be no one reading this anywhere near the City of Toronto who can still truly believe that
Toronto FC's owners, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, are really concerned about building a

It wasn't the best kept secret out there, but today MLS Commissioner Don Garber was in Toronto
to officially announce that the 2010 MLS Cup (championship game) will be played in Toronto on
November 21, 2010. This is the first time the cup game will be played outside of the USA, and it
shows that the league recognizes the excitement this city has about Toronto FC playing in the
MLS.
Every now and again in football, no matter who is playing, the weather decides that it will be the
major force in a game. Just ask supporters of Inverness Caledonian Thistle in northern Scotland.
Today was one of those days in Toronto and BMO Field was the epicentre of a viciously cold wind and
rain storm.
No. It doesn't stand for "Big Whoop"Now we know why Owen Coyle left Burnley to manage Bolton Wanderers mid-season! Not because he
wanted to return to his old haunts and have a better opportunity at Premiership survival - it was
because he wanted to manage a game in Toronto! BMO Field is after all "The Wembley of Southern
Ontario"!
