If Egypt national team head coach Bob Bradley ever dreamt of the perfect start to his side's
World Cup qualifying campaign, it probably looked a lot like what transpired on Friday.
Bradley and Egpyt began their quest to the qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with a 2-0
victory over Mozambique at Cairo International Stadium on Friday night.

Arsenal assistant manager, Pat Rice, on his way to be sacrificed after final game with the
Gunners
At fault for all three goals, former Tottenham goalkeeper Marton Fulop topped off the season
with West Brom by gifting the Gunners all three points at the Hawthorns in Roy Hodgson's farewell
game.
Juventus will finish on top of the league table regardless of the result of Week 38. The
Bianconeri defeated Cagliari 2-0 while Milan lost 2-4 to Inter to confirm Juve as this season's
champions. Below is a list of the most important factors behind Juve's triumph:
a) Andrea Pirlo: The Italy midfielder has been perhaps Juve's most influential
player this season.
Liverpool's much-maligned record signing Andy Carroll went some way to justifying his huge price
with the goal which put his side into their first FA Cup final since 2006 and ended the dreams of
Everton in the all-Merseyside encounter at Wembley.
The £35million striker had endured a testing afternoon, heading one straightforward chance wide,
but came up with the winner four minutes from time at Wembley.

What: Philadelphia Union vs Columbus Crew
Where: PPL Park
When: 3:30pm ET
TV: NBC Sports (formerly Versus)
The Columbus Crew have six points. The Union have one.
Clearly, points don't tell the whole story.
The Portland Timbers looked well on their way to another victory at Jeld-Wen Field when they
pounced on a defensive blunder by Chivas USA and took a 16th minute lead at home on Saturday
night.
Chivas USA had other ideas, and a second-half rally not only gave the Goats another road
victory.

The U.S. Under-23 men's national team's Olympic dream is over before it ever really got
started.
A late blunder by substitute goalkeeper Sean Johnson in the final minute of stoppage time erased
a heroic comeback from the United States, as El Salvador knocked the Americans out of Olympic
qualifying with a 3-3 draw at LP Field in Nashville, Tenn.
This article has taken some time because of my vacation to NOLA this
past week. Enjoy it as a precursor of sorts to today's Colorado Rapids - Philadelphia Union game.
It's a long one.
Zac MacMath - 6: The young goalkeeper made some sensational saves throughout his debut as the
Union's no.

Despite the theatrics, the four-goal deficit was just too much for Arsenal to overcome.
The Gunners fell just short of a would-be historic UEFA Champions League effort, defeating AC
Milan 3-0 but still finishing a goal shy of the Italians over the course of both legs, as Milan
advanced to the quarterfinals on a 4-3 aggregate.
Carling Cup success more than just a trophy for Liverpool - originally posted on

When Arsenal were preparing to take on Birmingham City in last season's Carling Cup final it was
heralded as the inevitable end of their almost six year trophy drought. In fact it was one of four
trophies the Gunners were in with a realistic shout of winning.
Well the Rapids, via a tweet from Tim Hinchey, essentially confirmed that our new #10 is Martin
Rivero. However there was no official announcement of the signing today. The Denver Post suggests
one reason:
So what's the delay? Here's why, maybe:Rivero remains in a contract dispute with
Rosario Central, according to Diario La Capital.
It's easy for casual observers to shrug off or dismiss the Evertonians calls for Bill Kenwright
and the rest of the board to get the hell out of the club. It's easy to say, it's just another
group of fans whining because times are a little tough, but this situation cannot be easily tossed
in to that traditional mold of the displeased football supporter.
Spanish giants Real Madrid are expected to lose a number of key players this month as another
of their brightest talents Angel Di Maria said to have welcomed offers from both Manchester United
and Chelsea.
Along with Kaka and Esteban Granero, Di Maria is the third player who could possibly leave the
Bernabeu this month.
1. Poor refereeing – the gift that keeps on giving.
Those that have been watching long enough will argue if Kompany's tackle was really worth the
red card. A few years ago, it would have been a brilliant tackle but now considered a foul, but
honestly to fans on both sides, was it really worth a red card?
The 26 year old Laurent Koscielny was signed by Arsenal in the summer transfer window of 2010. The
centre half had a rather rocky start to his Arsenal career where he needed time to adapt to the
fast paced and physical Premier League. His blunder with Szczesny in the dying minutes of the
Carling Cup [.
Pedal-ty, ref! Four-times Olympic cycling gold medalist Sir Chris Hoy has revealed he has become
the victim of Twitter hate campaign orchestrated by stupid Tottenham supporters. The confused Spurs
fans were angry at referee Chris Foy (note: Foy, not Hoy) following his performance in their match
at Stoke on Sunday.

Barcelona returned to their winning ways on Tuesday night with a four-goal thrashing of La Liga
minnows Rayo Vallecano at the Camp Nou.
The word echoing through the stadium: maravilla.
Between cheers for David "Mara" Villa, Alexis Sanchez, "el niño maravilla" of
Chile, and the sheer majesty of Messi's highlight-reel goal, one couldn't help but marvel.

Goalie FAIL Anderlecht goalkeeper Silvio Proto suffered a horrendous error against Zulte-Waregem at
the weekend. His howler was only slightly worse than the initial shot. We would tell you just how
bad it was, but Proto's already done that in considerable detail. He said: "This is the biggest
blunder of my career.
After refusing to sign a new contract with Arsenal and casting doubt about his future with the
club, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reiterated his commitment to the club saying that he will only
think about stepping down when he felt like it.
