In freezing conditions, and with fresh snow falling before kick-off, this fixture was almost called off. But credit to Bristol City's groundstaff, who did a terrific job in turning out a playable pitch.

Credit too to the players, who worked their socks off in very difficult conditions Cardiff did just enough to leave Ashton Gate with the win, but Gavin Williams' injury-time equaliser forced a replay that no one could deny the home side earned; ironically, Williams is a lifelong Bluebirds fan.
