I was born under a bad sign with a claret and blue moon in my eyes, but Lordy a-things
ain't been the same since Big Sam walked in-a town...
"I've got the world by the balls and yet I can't stop feeling that I'm still the mortadella,"
confesses Sam Allardyce. "It's the nagging feeling that I came in at the end; that the best is
over.
Financial fair play rules into the sinkhole?
In October 2010 Wayne Rooney issued a warning to the Glazers to splash the cash to make Utd
competitive. He was proven right a year and a half later as City won their maiden Premiership. For
their part City were hardly obliging as even before the ink had dried casting their eyes at their
favourite supply chain, Arsenal, for the services of Robin Van Persie, ready to send his wages out
of the stratosphere.

Something like that anyway
Manchester City Council have announced that the city is to commemorate Manchester City's (are
you still following?) first title win for 44 years by quite literally painting the town blue.
The plan is to turn the streets of Moss Side blue by laying coloured tarmac.

Amazing, amazing last day. What a nail biting finish! City looked done for as full time went by
and they were a goal down to QPR. They had to score twice to win the title with about 3 minutes
left in stoppage as United were winning away at Sunderland.
10 man QPR were proving extra-ordinarily tough to break as City swamped them but kept running
out of ideas.
The word on the street is that Fergie's Empire is crumbling and the Blue Moon of Manchester City is
on the brink of eclipsing their rival's long-held supremacy. Pundits talk of the dawn of a new era

"We're not really here" are some of the words emblazoned around the Etihad Stadium amongst other
footnotes and references to Manchester City's history. These particular words are significant
because of a chant started by the Blue Moon faithful in...

You may be aware that some Manchester City fans, in all their wisdom, are claiming there is a
conspiracy to help Manchester United win the league.
When Michael Carrick got away with a foul in the box against Fulham, they were full of it. They
of course forgot that just two days earlier at Stoke Gareth Barry should have conceded a penalty
and been sent off.

Blue Moon Rising or Another False Dawn? - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Following Manchester United's humiliating defeat at the hands of 'noisy neighbours' Manchester
City on Sunday, many pundits and journalists are suggesting the balance of power in English
football has swung over to the blue side of Manchester.

"Dzeko's been purr tonight, very purr. Which reminds me, I hate kittens..."
Anyone who happened to listen to BBC Radio Five Live's coverage of Man City's clash against
Villarreal will have probably turned off (as I did) around about the point that their insufferable,
jowly curmudgeon-in-chief Alan Green added 'orchestrated fan displays' to the long, long list of
piffling things he 'really hates' about football which came about five minutes before
kick-off (a couple of minutes after he'd already taken the time to add the City fans themselves for
having the temerity not to fill the completely fill the stadium on a Tuesday night).
Once in a Blue Moon No way. Would you credit it? Owen Hargreaves not only avoided a trip to
Manchester Royal Infirmary on his Manchester City debut, he only went and scored a bloody goal as
well. Talk about running before you can, well, run for sustained periods, Roberto Mancini is now
touting his new [.
Emmanuel Frimpong is a unit: Now he needs a bit more control
It's hard to believe we're just three matches old and already Arsenal wears the scars of a full
season. The weak of heart need not apply because we really do not how this will all end. A
spectacular supernova implosion or a gradual decline into a red dwarf?

The former Oasis frontman, a huge City fan introduces their new togs with his version of Blue
Moon. The opening scene looks like something out of Planet Of The Apes. Hopefully City's
performance sputters on the pitch like this downbeat song which puts you to sleep halfway.

Umbro have roped in Liam Gallagher and the rest of the Beady Eye chaps to help launch the new
Man City home kit, which they did with lilting rendition of the City's appropriated anthem, Blue
Moon...
The bods over at Umbro have also released a video that documents the story of the 'Blue Moon
soundwave' design that they have studiously incorporated into the new shirt.
Blue Nev Diners at a testimonial dinner for retired Manchester United legend Gary Neville were left
more than a bit bemused by the repertoire of a performer at the event. The entertainer for the
evening belted out his version of Manchester City's most famous song Blue Moon during the meal in
Malta. More than 1,200 [.
