Westminster tied it up in the 50th minute when freshman Megan Gunnels (Ozark/MO Elite SC) finished

The Blue Jays inaguarate the newly christened Greenwood Stadium Field at Cooper Soccer Complex with
a home match this evening against the Central Bulldogs. The Jays are 2-0, having shut out New
Covenant and surprised the Bolivar Liberators with a 2-1 win last Thursday.

The Carthage Tiger's continued their winning ways this evening, capturing the NIT crown with their
shutout win over a very talented Nixa squad. The win, the seventh in a row opening the season, was
determined in the 35th minute when senior Joe Curti rose above the crowd at the far post to head in
teammate Lopez's corner kick.

After Wednesday's Class 3 derby between Glendale and Kickapoo, we get the equally entertaining
match up between the host Blue Jays and their Southern rivals, Springfield Catholic.
The Jays, like many teams, are still attempting to identify a reliable scoring option although
if they start looking for Devon Whitlock more consistently, I think they would have more success in
that category.
