Dominic Oduro won't be the only member of the Chicago Fire getting his first taste of
international soccer in Wednesday's Ghana-Chile friendly at PPL Park.
Patrick Nyarko has been called in as a late addition to Ghana's roster, marking his first
call-up on the international level.
When Revolution head coach Jay Heaps signed his squad up for the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup
tournament, many assumed that the team's defense was primed for a pounding against the
competition.
The competition? Only the defending champions (Los Angeles), a CONCACAF Champions League
finalist (Real Salt Lake), and a team with one of the biggest budgets in the league (New York).
U.S. Under-23 defender Andrew Wenger, who was called in once again to the U-23s this month for
training in Carson, Calif., is also taking home some collegiate hardware on the side.
The junior out of Duke won the Hermann Trophy on Friday, an honor that is given to the top NCAA
Division I soccer players.
