With two hours to go until the transfer window closes again, the world's football media are

end of today.
It finished a point apiece at Bloomfield Road after neither side were able to improve on early
goals from Gabby Agbonlahor and Eliot Grandin in a frenetic game that saw Jean II Makoun receive a
straight red card for a two footed tackle with 20 minutes left to play.
It was a game that kicked off with a vibrant pace, both sides creating early chances, but it was
Gabby Agbonlahor who opened the scoring with a superb run from the left, latching onto Darren
Bent's nicely weighted pass.

I'm really looking forward to the visit to Bloomfield Road. They aren't vintage Oranje just yet,
but the Tangerines have a distinctive flavour of their own. This one could turn out to be one of
the most exciting games of the season. Blackpool have been playing with gay abandon in their debut
season and I hope the current relegation dogfight will not force Holloway to change his
approach.

A great deal of confidence was undoubtedly restored at Stamford Bridge and our slide toward
oblivion apparently halted. At least for a while. Tonight, with Sunderland coming to Villa Park,
we'll see whether there's enough fire burning in this team to launch an ascent back up the
table.
The CEO's backed the manager, the assistant manager has backed the team, now it's up to the
players to show that they really do care.

Their dominance of English football over the last 15/20 years means they'll always be

Liverpool head to Bloomfield Road looking for away win number two.
Fortuitous that the whole undersoil heating debacle pushed this one back, yes?
Doesn't make tomorrow's task any easier, of course, but at least there's a bit of optimism and
feel-good factor for Liverpool heading into yet another away match.

Yesterday's performance at Bloomfield Road certainly left something to be desired, as match
reports have taken the time to rightly point out, but one thing that bears repeating as people
begin to pull their hair over another loss on the road, casting about for scapegoats, is that these
are early days with Kenny Dalglish in charge.
The latest chapter in the ongoing terrifying saga of humiliation and mediocrity for Liverpool
football club unfolded last night in front of a jubilant crowd at Bloomfield Road. The Seasiders
– enjoying the first taste of top flight football in their history – completed an improbable
double over their North Western counterparts to pile further misery on Kenny Dalglish and his
beleaguered side, winning 2 – 1 in front of their home fans.
Liverpool's miserable night at Blackpool ended with a cold shower!
The Reds trooped off the pitch following their shock defeat to discover the Bloomfield Road boiler
had broken down.
So, after the indignity of being beaten by the Tangerines for a second time this season, they faced
a freezing shower before heading home.
