Ther is lots of Arsenal transfer news about today, and the one that has shocked Arsenal fans the
most (from looking at the blogs) is the news that Sol Cambell has been signed on a temporary
contract until the end of the season. I have seen various figures relating to his paypacket, but it
seems [...]

With J Hutcherson -- I'm going to start the new year by making an assumption. Most of us have
probably read enough live-blogs, 'takes' on other people's reporting, baseless speculation, and
lists. To put it as simply as possible, the internet is doing us no favors. Here's the thing, and
I'm making it soccer-specific.
(Summary is not available.)
There is a reason that we currently have the FA Cup's Facebook page on Just Football. Earlier today
I received exciting news from the Football Association that Just Football has been nominated best
football blog by fans of the FA Cup.
We're on a shortlist of six high quality football sites, and there is a pretty sizeable community
of fans on the FA Cup's Facebook page so it is a real honour to have been chosen by the FA as one
of the top football blogs around.

Some of you guys may have noticed this already, but the WCB websites have received a few changes
and touch ups. The biggest and most noticeable change is on the frontpage of the Italy (that's us),
Spain, England, France and Germany blogs. At the top of each of those five

God Bless 101GG. In fact God bless the entire football blogging community, seeking out bits of
genius that we would otherwise have missed, just to share the bit of magic a bit further. The above
goal was found on the aforementioned blog, scored by Noh Alam Shah in the big Indonesia derby,
Arema vs Persema.
De regresso a casa e ao blog. Do futebol português pouco acompanhei por falta de notícias. Do
pouco que vi e ouvi através da RTPi (que programação pobrezinha) gostei sobretudo das palavras
de Jorge Jesus sobre Manuel Machado. Terminar "guerras" sem sentido é um bom caminho.
I want you to get mad...
This is the new residence of Who Framed Ruel Fox?; a Spurs blog that should know
better.
Stand by for further instructions. In the meantime, why not visit my old digs at
www.oleole.com/blogs/who-framed-ruel-fox where you might just be able to half-inch a few
light-bulbs or doorknobs while the removal men go about their business.

With the ACON in full swing we thought we'd put together our top 11 African players of all time.
It's true to say that the days of Mwepu the Zaire right back clearing a Brazilian free kick in a
1974 World Cup are long gone.
2010 could in fact, be the first time we see an African winner of the World Cup.
The good people over at Scottish Roundup ("The best of Scottish blogging every week" - including me
last week) have put together the Scottish Blog Awards. There's some cracking blogs included in a
lengthy list (142 blogs were nominated) and I'm glad to say that The Scottish Football Blog is
there as well.
"Alfio Basile.
Of course, that is how a child deals with disappointment. In that sense, football makes us all
children again in different ways. During moments of absolute glory, we, as supporters, experience a
heightened sense of joy that those who do not follow football, or other sports, as intensely as we
do will likely never feel.
These highlights will be posted as soon as possible, we are having troubles with our source.
Apologies.
